Christmas to New Years is the dead zone for the Zona Norte.
And the border crossing lines are out of control. Seriously, unless you have a Sentri card, it's not practical to go to Tijuana.
The next time I go to Mexico will be to Cancun. It's quicker to get there, and I can simply fly a HK chica there from Tijuana.

The airport shuttle bus to the trolley is free.
I don't know how to pay for the 992 bus, maybe the trolley Pronto card would work, or cash can be used.
But the airport shuttle bus is free.

Agree, the old town shuttle is free but takes you north and the wait for the blue line is longer there than the America plaza station because there is another blue line that turns back to san Yisidro at that station. The pay for the 992 bus is only $2:50 although I buy a card at the kiosk in the airport and just fill that up with a day pass.

Don't expect the usual weekend or holiday buzz for Christmas day and New Years day and the week in between. There will be women but most will be gone. New Years day particularity will be dead. The eve is ok but I remember annoying drunk US dudes than anything else the last time I was in new years eve in the zona.

I'm going to do some research, call some people that have worked up there and see. Also ask the head waiters I know:
https://hotelcascadas.com/rooms/9th-...tire-9th-floor I would post photos of the talent up there but I would get in trouble. "bad luck & trouble are my only friends" LOL In 3 weeks I will check it out in person.
I think you were looking at the blue print on the pics for the 9th floor that showed a pool but I think that was the blue print for what was previously the 10th floor baller suite. If memory serves me well they had the "best suite" on the 10th floor. When COVID hit and the 7th floor set up was hard to manage they decided to make the 10th floor suite into an actual club.
The 9th floor suite and its amenities are described on the website with no mention of a pool just private jacuzzi and a pool table. If you do a search you can see pics of the pool they had before. Also if you want a baller suite with a pool at a much lower price they still have one at the Rizo hotel.

I think some are confusing 2 different things. The ninth floor is the last floor of the hotel and has big baller suites. You can see them on the website and the prices. Those would be good places if you have a bachelor party or something and wan privacy.
The 10th floor is the club they built during COVID but by the time they finished it the COVID restrictions were mostly over. It's was talked about by a few guys on this board but wasn't anything special, if I remember correctly they woul close HK at 5 am and tell people to go to the 10th floor to party more but most just left since most girls were done by that time. I remember at one time they were forcing the waiters to go and work for 1 hour in that club and they all hated it. Not much business and a very stale or boring atmosphere.
I have no idea if the still use it I haven't bothered asking about it for at least a year.

Hello all,
I'm considering a trip to Tijuana in early January. The flight I would take to San Diego arrives at 7:30 pm. Can I take the blue line down to San Ysidro at that time? I've been in the afternoon but never in the evening. Also I heard PedWest is closed. Will I be able to cross into Tijuana from San Ysidro? What time does the border crossing close? TIA.
There is a free shuttle bus from the airport to the Old Town trolley station.

The 992 bus runs from the airport until midnight and the trolley system runs until 12:30-1 am so yeah, you'd have plenty of time if your plane arrives at 7:30. The PedEast border never closes.

Until the line at the border crossing is reduced, Tijuana is off limits to me.
I guess most posters here use Sentri to cross, and so are unaffected by the long wait to get back to the US.

Probably 100% true. I'm making a generalization so feel free to disagree, but a large portion of the customers at HK look like young college / postcollege kids likely without a real job or job at all or mid age adults with with some blue collar job that pays them a paycheck that they live off of month to month. Hot HK girls make 10 x more in a day than all these folks. Don't forget all the gifts and online money transfers these girls get from simps when they're not even working. And if they're willing to do something higher risk, disgusting, or demeaning to themseves, they'll probably make 20 x more in a day than most of the HK customers in their avg american job.
I don't know about 10-20 x more than the average HK customer but the harder working girls especially do make some bank. Two chicas I meet up with regularly have their kid (only kid in both instances) in private school with the $$$ they make from HK.
