Envy?
If you are driving a nice car, you might be the target of envy. I've seen one of the valets and several of the HK staff walking to work in the morning then the locals likely watch Americans driving up in nice cars while they cannot afford a bicycle. . . Solution is to drive an old beater that doesn't attract envy from the locals and get sabotaged? Or you could park the car yourself but then you'd have to pay for parking. Interesting book on Envy called "World on Fire: How Democracy Breeds Hatred" by Professor Amy Chua. She said in the book that her Chinese aunt was likely killed by her Philippine staff or locals because they became enraged with envy that she was a rich Chinese and they were poor Philippines. . . Same scenario in Tijuana happening to you?

As of 2018, HK insists VIPs give their cars to the valet guys. They would drive and park the cars at Pepe's. The poor valet guys would sit in the cold usually run to Pepe's to pick up car fast at the end of the night. I can't see any benefits to the valet system except to help the parking guys get more tips. HK girls were always leaving their cars with valets. Last weekend, a young and pretty HK girl picked up her bright red, brand new Camaro, and tipped the valet $2. She probably makes more money and have lots more fun partying and having hot sex every night than El Presidente Enrique Pena Nieto hehe.
I have not had flat tires in over 10 years. Last time 10 years ago I parked in a bad spot in the lot at the motel behind J I be. The friendly parking guys gave me 2 screws into the 2 rear tires. Assholes. This time unfortunately after parking by HK's valets in the last 4 weeks, 2 new tires had 2 old small nails straight in and were leaking slowly, one was in the edge of the steel belt and could not be repaired. Damn. It's very unlikely to pick up 2 nails in the same week by accident. Looks more like sabotage Also small nails that go straight into the tires are suspicious.
While I have no proof that the car was sabotaged, I would like to hear if any bro had any recent problems with cars in Tijuana so we can fix the problems. Gracias.

I'll try it out. Anything to speed up the process of going through CBP is worth a try. Did you have to go through TSA again if you have a domestic connection?
It is faster but works the same way as without Global Entry so I think it will need to go through TSA if it is required.

The last couple of times the agent only asked me to scan my Mobile Passport and gave me a card afterwards, the real passport was not checked. After I picked up my luggage, I gave the card to the agent before exiting the luggage pickup area. I usually travel with only carry on, and almost never bring anything back to US so the custom rarely check my luggage.

I'll have to try this and compare the two. As of right now, the difference is that Global Entry and Sentry requires the holder to go through screening and cost to apply. The mobile app does not have a fee and no screening. When I flew into both MIA and FLL, I did not need to have my bags screened. I just simply handed CBP the print out and walked right into domestic terminals to connect my domestic travel. Did you have to go through luggage screening? Both were completely different paths, I could see all those not part of the Sentry / Global still picking up their bags and going through the screening. Both times recently, CBP said welcome back and no other questions asked. Only thing, was walk by the dog as I entered the domestic terminals and did not have to go to TSA again. Since it is still a new program, I assume most do not know about it and when masses pick up on this new program I can see it becoming a wait as well in the future.

As per my experience traveling from LAX to Cancun(back in 2010), NO, you cannot use it to enter Mexico using the passport card if you are entering Mexico by air. They do not accept this when you land. I had both on me. Traveling back to LAX, I presented my Passport CARD at CBP and I was able to re-enter to USA with no problem but this has now changed and you can no longer do this or I just got lucky that day. Why did I carry both, well my logic was I wanted to carry a ID while partying in Cancun and left my passport book in the hotel safe. Per the quotes I posted, you can enter if you are traveling within those regions as listed on your passport card and only by land and sea ports. To add more, I've recently returned from Colombia and used my sentry card at the kiosk. I still had my passport book with me as well. I entered and no problems. In fact, I just gave the CBP the print out and walked right past him with a "Welcome Back" from him. Here is a tip for all you sentry holders traveling international and not just Mexico, You can use your Sentry card and it is part of the Global Entry. You don't need to fill in those CBP slips on the plane, you can do it at the kiosk. Took no more than 5 min from plane to cbp offiicer.

The best tacos are around the corner of Hong Kong; locals love this place!
Yes I know this tacos place. I'm not really "Mr Clean" but even I have noticed some hygiene problems in this street tacos place. If the local likes it well for them. I mostly eat in the "Sonora Grill" (opposite Adelita) chicken burrito or three chicken tacos with guacamole and Corona beer. Or in "Monte Carlo" next to Adelita ham or chicken sandwich or club sandwich and coke. I've never had a stomach problem after a meal.

One way to achieve that if you crossing by land is to have the passport card. That way, you don't need the passport book so no worries about the stamping. Will not work if you were flying in.
