Respectfully disagree. When a city, or a few cities, call a curfew it's a big deal. Commerce stops and it sends a message to the population that they should be scared right now. That's not news puffery.

To the cartels credit, they realized that they don't need to fight the army to score. They just need to cause havoc. It sends the message that they can do that anytime they want and never once need to enter a gunfight with the army to score a victory.

Just for the sake of accuracy, the cartel "imposed" the curfew. The city of Tijuana did not.

Everything will have probably died down by then. Also it was the military that wanted the curfew placed and something tells me that the alley and the businesses along it have some affiliation with the cartel. So I don't see them deciding to burn things up on their own turf. This is more of a disruption and fear tactic in the areas outside of their typical turf areas that is there to generate fear and cause the government to back down and release the cartel guys they took (just as they did when they got the sinoloan guys a couple of years ago and the government backed down and let them go).

On Cascadas, I understand the greed but the incompetence is hard to swallow, and since people are discussing the VIP Card anyway:

Restaurant Azul is very uncoordinated. * One time I was eating at the restaurant and wanted a drink. * The bartender had to physically come over, take my order, make the drink, come back, and then immediately gave me my bar tab because they're not connected to the restaurant-- and apparently it's utterly unforeseeable that someone might want to eat and drink at the same time. * I would have ordered a second drink but didn't want to start the process over. * So, fine, next time I sat at the bar and ordered food. * They're not coordinated in that direction either, as soon as the food comes the restaurant brings a tab and is expecting you to cash out. **.

Some of this, I'm sure, is driven because the tipping pools are separate but it's pretty absurd. ** They're definitely leaving money on the table because it turns out people do like to drink alcohol with their food which they are making difficult.

Checkout is also a complete mess. * I also drive to Tijuana and park my car with the valet. * If this was a real hotel, when I was ready to check out, I would simply call the valet, my car would be waiting for me, and I would go. **.

Not as Cascadas, I have to go down to the lobby, wait my turn, give them the white piece of paper, wait for someone to check out the room for damages, wait for them to make change. * And none of this is connected with the valet, so then I have to go down, wait for a valet to be available, and wait for the car to be ready. * What should be a two minute process usually takes me half an hour. * This is particularly strange since now they accept payment of the room by card-- if there's an issue just charge my card, like most other hotels do. * I'd understand if they were making money off this somehow but they're really not, it's just a trainwreck of a process for no reason.

The club itself is fine, but I wouldn't mind if the hotel had a better manager. There aren't rocket science concepts.

I completely disagree. HK, Cascadas and Azul are fun, and decently run. Is it perfect, no, but you can have a great time. You have to have realistic expectations. This Strip bar in Mxico, have fun and do not complain. If you do not like it go to Adelitas.

I told her I was tired after like all day driving. So I met her again on Friday night but she seem like a completely different person. Thursday night we sat down, drank and talked. Friday night she got that "hurry the fuck up" attitude. It was not all too nice and I got knock on the door during the fuck too. I think I may try Sunday or Monday or Tuesday next time.

I'm not a newbie I been to HK more than a few times in the past 6, 7 times. I have never seen so many guys before. Even in 2018, I could easily picked up the girls I like and took them upstairs and nobody knocked on the door. Oh well. Everything changes I understand. Is HK club still packed with guys? I was there 2 months ago it was so packed. I want to go again but I don't like so many guys hanging around.

Just stay away from the prime times. HK can get a bit crazy busy after say 7 pm Friday and Saturday so just go earlier in the afternoon like 2 pm to 7 pm or something like that. It's kind of fun to see the numbers change as the girls pile into the club.

The Thursday tip is a good one. I need to check it out on a Thursday night!
