I'm inclined to agree. I was in there the other day and I was more annoyed then entertained because there were so many dudes and not enough quality girls. I don't know if the quality of the girls has plummeted so much or there's just too many dudes that occupy the hottest girls. Most of the girls that we recognize aren't even around anymore. The thing that burns is the terrible social skills of these new girls. Average looking girls have attitudes and don't even attempt to show interest. If you go on the weekend then you're screwed because it's sausage city. If you go on a weekday then you're getting the lower tier girls. HK's glory days are a thing of the past. It's not a great situation right now.

Next time, tell the girls you live in Chula Vista which is right over the border, and that you only visit HK 4 times a week because you are busy bartender in San Diego. -Walked through PedEast foreigner side (no line) with an expired passport. Guy stopped me, gave me shit for not having a passport (pretended I forgot mine), asked for my drivers license & finally just let me through.
NO BRIBE requested. Maybe I'm lucky or just look 'innocent'?
-Got through no problems, took a $5 cab to Cascadas, got my VIP card inside HK, went up and started check-in process..

I'd recommend Turks and Caicos if you want that kind of beach. Rosarito and Ensenada is going to be the same as SoCal beach, but more vendors to bring you food, beverages, etc. I spent many trips in Pattaya and Phuket and met a few regulars off and on for a few years until they started to fall in love. I took a Soi 6 bar girl to Siam Reap for a week and it was fun. I was married the whole time so they knew I'm there just for fun.

Also I've read that San Diego is in the middle of phasing out their old transportation card system for a new one where they are offering free transit rides the entire month of September for the people who sign up for the new card so maybe they're being a bit more lax this month about enforcing fares I don't know. But I know in normal situations San Diego transit cops can sometimes be aggressive in checking for fare evasion. I've on a couple of occasions had had my fare ticket checked twice by transit cops on a 30 minute ride from downtown San Diego. So they do check, I see transit cops writing tickets up for people who haven't paid all the time.

Am borderline shocked they let you though Mexican customs on an expired passport without having to pay a bribe. The two times I tried that last year on an expired passport I was quickly sent to the back office for a bribe. Would think that a relatively young, well-dressed Asian dude going through late at night would actually be a prime target for a bribe as most customs officials would have an idea of where you're headed without even having to ask LOL. So good for you. But yeah I had the same experience with my expired passport coming back into the States. They just swipe it without saying anything which surprised me.

Yeah, I fell for that $20 line skip thing once too. You're basically paying them $20 to walk with you to jump the line, which in theory you're not supposed to do. It's a "scam" though is a scam that definitely gets you through the line quicker LOL. Some of the people in the line who get jumped get pissed about it occasionally.

The "basic" rooms in Zona Norte (HK included) are small but I guess you get what you pay for. With VIP card $60/ night, no tax, with a free first drink each night is still a damn good deal IMO.

I swear I wasnt trying to skimp on the trolley fare LOL! But both fuckin ticketing machines werent working that night! I was already running late and didn't have enough time to setup the APP so I just said fuck it. First time taking the trolley, asked some old cholo lookin dude and he replied "aint no cops at this time anyways". Fist bump and hop on boiii.

Now the pain is just how fuckin long will it take to renew my passport. State department is in worse condition than a soup kitchen in skid row.

The basic rooms are really just too small for me. And to be frank, I can afford to spend a little more on the room so why not. I didn't blow for the penthouse villa or anything, $200 for 2 nights in the master suite I think it was called.

But next time I go back ill aim for Mon-Tues in which case ill go for the $200 penthouse suite w / the 70% discount LOL.

Only stayed in Zona. Was only there for like 2 nights and showed up late on the first night. Had some street tacos and only 1 legit meal in Senda Norte which was quite good. Steak and eggs.

Might hit up Tijuana next time with the dude I met from Texas and see what's going on outside Zona. But most likely will aim for something outside of Tijuana all together. IE a beach.

Typically don't spend too much time doing touristy stuff when I know I'm down there for the sole purpose of emptying the sack as frequently and enjoyably as possible haha.
