I am resting at home from three wonderful nights at HK club & Zona last weekend.
Pre-printing the FMM form helped me avoid the fee at the border. I think because the pre-printed form is actually registered with the Government. Anyway. It worked for me this trip. I showed them my form on entry. I got in with no FMM fee.
