Fair question. I usually don't pay upfront, but can't say not to ever pay upfront, as I have done it myself, it happens sometime. It just depends on your guess if this chica is going to treat you right once she has your money.

I am not a local Tijuana visitor. Stop in once / twice a year for 3 to 4 visits each trip. I use to tell the girls where I actually was from. Most did not know where it was. It did not help me in the room. I now tell them I am from San Diego, and come there fairly often. The reason a lot of girls require money upfront is guys will often renege on the agreed upon price. I've talked to a lot of my favoritas and have heard many war stories (the john says he's OK with $70 downstairs and after the session is over miraculously only has $20 in his wallet. Or a deal made clearly made in USD and the john after the lovin' will attempt to pay 70 pesos instead of 70 USD. So most girls will not extend credit until they know that can trust you. As Norte mentions many girls also get counterfeit money. One girl told me she's had guys steal her money and cellphone when she went to the bathroom. There's a lot of mutual mistrust between the girl and the john and a lot of it is justified. I know you're thinking you'd never do that, but many of their johns do.

Most girls I'm with will ask for money afterward, but when I'm with a new girl who wants money up front I'll set it on the counter and if she puts it in her purse I'm OK with that, too. If there is a problem, bring it up with management and you'll get your money back (or at lead most of it, and unless the girl makes the bar a ton of money on drinks, she'll be canned with one or two strikes). And even though some guys think prepaid means poorer service, prepaid also assures the girl you're not going to rip her off.

Yea, if you're caught like that, offering to put the money on some neutral surface can work. I did that once with a top tier I wanted badly.

Better still, just count out the money so that she knows you have it all and then put it back in your wallet. She knows that, if she screams, you're not getting away.

But I usually break the deal altogether. I confess that under those circumstances I like walking out on them. Watch them scramble not to be left behind. That's fun.

The middle ground is to say you will put the money on the table or the dresser so she can see it. When she is done completing her task she can have it. If a girl refuses she is full of crap. Time to move on.
