The best spots are less busy tables on the balcony or booths on the second floor where you can eat, drink, watch sports on the giant screen TV, while groping, probing, squeezing the procession of hot girls who walk by hehe.

" I said "it's cold outside. " he demanded me to empty my pockets. My phone was in my left hand and all of my cash was in my right hand. I was sure he was going to take my cash but he didn't. He told me to turn around then frisked me. He took out my wallet. He pressed it between his hands really hard as if he was trying to feel anything in it. He opened the wallet and then went through it. There was no cash in the wallet. He handed it back to me. He wanted to know where I was coming from and what I was doing in Mexico. I told him downtown and that I was just walking around downtown. He started again with the same questions and I interrupted him boldly and stated "I respect the laws of Mexico and I have broken no laws in Mexico." His vibrato faded and he told me to leave. I hauled ass back to the border and reported the incident to the US customs.

I'm interested to see what the members of the forum think regarding if you think the limo driver is on the take with this officer? It's a perfect opportunity for the limo driver to not only make tip money driving us back and forth but also working with the police to notify them when he is bringing back a passenger to shake down and receive a kick back from the police.

Searching by Tijuana police was common about 10 years ago just before the entrance to the US (taxi stop sentri area) I'm surprised Tijuana police is doing it again. Then everyone knew that to keep cash in socks. Here is my case about 10 years ago. Three Tijuana policemen stopped me, (of course, I had cash in my sock) they only found an one condom (wrapped not used) empty wallet, a passport and a polaroid photo taken an hour earlier of me and chica from Hong Kong in a bikini outfit. Everyone watched a photo with a commentary Oooo! Chica bonita! OK, you can go! And they started to laugh. I also laughed and the accident ended well!
I guess - they were looking for drugs.

Not-so-friendly police have from time to time in the past waited at the taxi-drop off areas and aggressively searched / shaken down tourists late at night, particularly males appearing drunk. I suspect getting out of an HK associated vehicle / limo made you a target. I am sorry to hear this bad habit has reappeared, and glad you did not get robbed. Others have not been so lucky. Being sober no doubt helped.

I don't know how much time you intend on spending inside the farmacia. But you could ask the cab to wait outside for you if it's a quick pick up. I've asked plenty of drivers to stop at the pemex by the border for ed pills and then onto HK. Never had an issue with being charged more.

I don't know how much time you intend on spending inside the farmacia. But you could ask the cab to wait outside for you if it's a quick pick up. I've asked plenty of drivers to stop at the pemex by the border for ed pills and then onto HK. Never had an issue with being charged more.
