I was planning to go to this VIP Stripper of the year contest, hands down the busiest and funnest party with almost every top-tiered chicas in HK attend and root for their friends.

At the last minute the dinner gave me a case of worst indigestion in my life. My stomach was so heavy I did not feel like standing up, walking, left alone going to a noisy and wild putas party. I was farting left and right on the way down and half a dozen times in HK but the stomach was packed solid. I usually have Wed eve free, since I'm off on Thurs. Went to HK for there CHICA VIP event, there were tons of hot chica there as well as meseros. I was outside at around 8:30 pm watching the limos pulled up as some of the hottest Latinas stepped onto the red carpet to have there pictures taken. Each limo carried about 3-4 bottles and each took turn exiting the limo to have their pictures taken. I kicked myself hard for leaving my phone in my car, so no pics. Inside HK, it was packed, even more so than last Sat eve. I think every bar girls worked last night. Fellas -- perhaps I over paid. I went up to the top of the hill after crossing into town and got in a yellow cab (I don't think it was a Libra). He took me right to HK. And I the 70 pesos included a tip to the bar man.

Sunday early night around 6 pm I was sipping on a Tecate and me and my nephew were checking out the talent at HK! I too was surprised that Lurkingdog was quoted 100 pesos at the border, and if so, he probably should have sought another taxi quote since that is too high a fare from the border to LZ. Now if he didn't ask for a quote, and just hopped into a cab at the border, the 100 pesos would make sense.

I arrive typically around lunchtime on the times when I walk into Tijuana. I go to where the Taxi Libres pick up clients near the turnaround. At that intersection I pick up the yellow & white colored buses that will take me to the Diamonte#2 (above Bar Taurino at the NW corner of Constitution and Primera) for just 5 pesos.

Similarly, I was surprised by Lurkingdog's report of paying 70 pesos for a Sol beer in HK. Myself and my amigos are always charged 54 pesos or $4 for a beer these days in Hong Kong Bar, but I don't think mi amigos drink Sol and we are generally not in HK on the weekends.

After reading about this place on this forum and other strip club boards, I just had to give it a try (the last several negative posts from fellow mongers nonwithstanding). I have to thank everyone who provided their input. I parked in the US lot, walked across and changed money into Pesos. As others have said but I will reiterate, you'll save money doing this. I got a cab which others have said is $10 to Hong Kong -- it's 100 pesos which puts the price in between 6-7 dollars using local currency.

As I remember, Sentri card only works for land crossings. The Global Entry card works for all air, land and sea crossings. Costs $100 for 5 years.

Apply and pay on line. State Dept will do background check within 3 to 4 weeks. People with felony convictions would be rejected. People with misdemeanors older than 5 to 10 years are very likely to be approved. If rejected, you can appeal to State Dept, explaining your circumstances for reconsideration. Worst case, your local congressperson may be convinced to vouch for you with State Dept.

If approved you will have to go on line and schedule an interview with CBP at any international airport locations, or at the CBP's office in Otay Mesa. Really quick and painless and it saves hundreds of hours waiting in lines at border crossings.

Apply for your car at the same time and drive it to the CBP interview. I drive over in my own car. Crossing back after 10 PM in the cars' Sentri lane usually takes only 10 minutes. Last Saturday Sentri traffic at 10 PM backed up all the way along Padre Kino. But It still took only 20 minutes. Many times the card RFID pulled up your personal data on the screen, the CBP agents would waved me through without asking questions.

Departure can be done quickly bypassing CBP security check points with a few major airlines. Reentry through international airports you can bypass the long line at Immigration. Just proceed to the Global Entry machine, insert your card to clear immigration for reentry. Quick and painless.

Many times the $6 van is NOT a bargain! When the line is long and on a travel day (Sunday and Monday) the vans travel in the bus lanes which there are many!. These busses usually travel as fast as the general lane! The busses and $6 vans) empty into a "separate general public" waiting line that joins the General waiting line at the turnstile to enter te USA. You will be in the General lanes to the agents.
The big problem is that you are crammed into a van that holds 9 people with up to 12! Sometimes you will be stuck in a van for 2 to 3 hours! (My one and ONLY time I was in one for 3 hours!) Bathroom? Forget it! Hot crammed and Stinky! Save your $6. Just tough it out in line, IMHO.

I tried this once with a buddy of mine and its a total scam. Just like the the one where the guy says he can get you to the front of the line. They where these badges that looks official but don't mean diddly. For the vans, when we got in, we waited for about half an hour so it could fill up. Then, we waited another 45 minutes to get to the entrance for the General waiting line. We saw the same people in line when we first jumped in. As for those guys that can put you in front, they have you follow them up front, when the line starts moving then they have you ditch in front of people who look at you all mad. Luckily it worked but I have seen where people complained to CBP and what happened? They send you all the way back to the end of the line and you out of $. Get a Sentry card, its the only one that is official.
