I wonder how many guys are getting hustled into thinking it was $5 beers all night? I usually do pay $5 a beer because I tip every time I purchase one. When you get into the $6 category then you start verging on USA prices.

Or, to put it another way, the cover charge is $1 and you're forced to buy at least one $4 drink. LOL Either way, you're out $6.

Haven't been down in a month. If this is for real then the girls better lower their rate. LOL. I agree no way am I paying that much for beer. I wonder how long this is going to last. Unless the newbs and my fellow Asians just goes with it like lemmings. Oh well, I guess AB will get my business in the drink dept.

    1) how do I get the VIP discount from the hotel if I reserve my rooms online.

    2) how much do drinks cost at popular bars like HK, Adelita, Tropical and Chicago.

    3) How much do drinks cost for the girls? And when would be a good time to buy one for them.

    4) do I still have to pay for the room if I book in at the Cascadas?

    5) how much do dances cost per song?

    6) if I take a girl upstairs, how much should I pay? I know some people said 60 is the most anyone should pay and not to ruin the market, but I've also read elsewhere that I should pay 60-80 initially and a tip after the session, if this is true how much should I tip?

    7) Being an Asian that speaks no Spanish at all, will it be difficult for me to get around?

    8) last and most importantly, I will be traveling alone is that a common thing or should I try to find a partner to go with just for safety issues etc.

Any other important information you guys can throw out for me as a newbie first time traveler would be awesome. Every bit of information reduce the chance I get scammed LOL thank you guys

Don't know how I missed that. Must've been at ADs. Nuts.

This is my first time posting; however, I have been reading the forum for the past 2 years.

I will be going to Tijuana for the first time on March 20th till around 23rd. As an Asian, I'm kind of worried that I don't blend in very well LOL. Anyways any pointers would be awesome. I have some question below it would be awesome if some frequent visitors can help out.

I think 3 of the most important things I learned from this forum for newbies is to go to HK first, stay at Cascadas or Ticuan and always haggle for the price and never overpay.

Things I would really like to know would be.

    1) how do I get the VIP discount from the hotel if I reserve my rooms online.

    2) how much do drinks cost at popular bars like HK, Adelita, Tropical and Chicago.

    1) I think this has been answered before. Get your VIP card first, then go to the hotel to pay and show them the card.

    2) Beers run from $3 to $3. 50. Some bars have 2x1, like Las Chavelas, Tropical and others. Mixed drinks tend to run more.

    3) IIRC, ficha drinks are $7. The girls gets $3 of that. Once you see a girl you want to get to know, invite her over and buy her a drink. They aren't allowed to sit for long periods of time with a customer unless they have a drink.

    4) No. But you can't take AB or CC girls, for instance, to Cascadas.

    5) Who cares? Don't waste your money. Most girls will give you 90% (or more) of whatever you'll get in the booth right at your seat for the price of a drink or two.

    6) As a noob, you will have noob in neon lights on your forehead. You can't see it, but they can. So, just try not to get fleeced. Unless you're using pesos, start with $60 and very, very grudgingly come up a bit. Under no circumstances exceed $80. Don't let your little head take over. There are lots of girls around. Tipping is not nearly as common in Mexico. You don't have to tip and one is not expected. However you can fork over an extra $5 if she did a good job. A word of advice, the hottest ones rarely perform well. If you want a good time your odds are better with the B team. And never pay up front. Just don't. If they insist, send them packing.

    7) No, although your choices of girls will be a bit limited. But you'll be OK. Generally speaking, the "older" ladies will know more English than the young hotties.

    8) It's very common to go solo. You will be safe if you follow some basic rules. Don't get shitfaced. Don't wander out of the zona, especially if shitfaced. Be aware of your surroundings. Don't act like an asshole. Don't wear bling. Don't flash cash. Dress "down" a bit, I. E. Jeans and sneaks. Follow these and you'll be fine. There are quite a few "Chinos" in the Zona these days so you won't stand out too badly. BTW, all Asians are Chinos to the girls.
