Is it going to be busy on Thursday the 31st of October? Its not a weekend but I know they have this kind of halloween special or Sumthin, I'm planning to go again. I hope its not going to be a sausagefest. Any info guys.

    Thanks.

He never told him he had to leave but I think it would have happened if he refused. Should be noted that he was sitting down at the front stage.

I use the napkin trick to cover my beer. I have the VIP card and it helps going into and out of HK on fri and sat nights.

One thing that sucks was that the VIP cards now are only good for 4 months instead of 6 months. I didn't believe Sbeach till he pointed at it on the HK poster. 4 months. Damm.
Ha, maybe I should pay more attention to the dudes not drinking instead wasting my time gawking at the dancing chicas, LOL.

Thanks for the update on the VIP Card details, good intel.

    Cheers,

    Keg

Some meseros can be pesky, but a polite waive off generally works, even if you don't speak spanish you can at least say "No Gracias".

    A real addiction

A real addiction is, 5 minutes after crossing the border to go home, you keep debating with yourself if you should turn the car around and come back to La Zona for more.

The good thing (and I do thank God) that I have the money (a job) and the ability to get there every week (sometimes more) because I am 15 minutes away in San Diego!

When I am in work or not feeling happy I just remind myself there is someone who is willing to make me happy (a few dollars away) in Tijuana!

If that is not an "addiction" I don't know what is!

Rs with her) that does not "require" a drink, but may help in the bargaining!

Burma Jones, that's a pro tip. I do it myself. Except when doing tequila shots.

I really need to watch my budget this trip, so I don't want to waste 7 or 8 bucks on girl drinks or 4 dollar waters if I don't have to.

I like to check out the action in HK then do the same in other bars. If I go into HK 4 or 5 times during the night I don't want to buy that many drinks.

As for buying a buying a drink in Hong Kong= I would not buy one if I was just looking for a short time. If you "park" yourself in a seat just to watch "for free" for any amount of time, I do believe the management will ask you to buy a drink or leave. You can say you are waiting for a "date" to arrive and get away with it, but you know (NOTHING in this world is FREE!)( Shit you pay for good weather in San Diego to live there!) so buy a drink. The chicas for the most part WILL expect a drink to be with you for any amount of time ( with the exception being Negotiations with her to go upstairs with her)(that does not "require" a drink, but may help in the bargaining!

When the waiter comes and sees you don't have anything, or only when you are sitting in a booth with a girl. CAn you sit with a girl, w / o buying a drink for the girl or yourself and see if you want to go upstairs with her, or will the waiter say you have to buy a drink.

The bars vary a bit, but the all follow a pattern.

The girls must sell drinks. Each bar has a minimum of drink fichas per arriba. If they don't meet their quota they can't go up or they have to make it up out of their pocket, generally speaking. If you sit too long with a girl and don't buy her a drink she will get hassled by the mesero. They can nurse the drink as long as they like, within reason.

You do need to buy some sort of drink if you watch the show. Nothing's free. The mesero's can't force you to buy a drink but, in theory at least, if you refuse to buy something the manager could ask you to leave.

Short answer: the waiters cannot make you do shit. Period.

However, use your best judgment, when you feel like you are staying long enough and eyeing the girls, or you feel like you want to get to your happy zone, go get a drink and give yourself that buzz, when a girl is being nice and staying with you without forcing you to buy a drink, you may consider buying her a drink, if you like her, don't feel obligated though (I used to, now I don't, its my money damn it) , you don't have to buy a drink if you are at the bar, but it would be bad taste if you sit there without a drink, and don't tip the girl.

Don't be a total cheapo (I will be the first to admit I sometimes am) , but you don't have to break the bank to enjoy the sights, be it the mesero or the chica, if someone treats you well, give 'them a tip
