Has anyone figured out why the lapdances are the same price as the USA Why are gringos paying these rates. The whole point of going to filthy Tijuana and risking your life is so you can get 5 dollar lap dances and 60 dollar putang. I remember getting 5 dollar lap dances at Caesar back in the day. Why the hell are they 20.00.

Wow thanks for all that detailed information guys! Very very helpful and now I am much more excited about heading down there. I can't wait. The thought of paying a hot chica $60 and getting more than an air dance is mind blowing. LOL. I'll make sure to bring back stories to tell.

    My 2 centavos:

    1. Your passport is your I'd. It'll work for most anything. Unless you intend to buy something with your credit cards, leave them, and the ATM card, at home. That way, no temptations to overspend. Set a budget. Take as much as you need, and a $20 bill for emergency. I don't bother with a wallet. User your front pockets. No point in giving pickpockets an easy target.

    2. If you look young, you may get carded at establishments outside of the zona. In the zona, rarely. Drinking age is 18, so you have to look pretty young to arouse the doorman's suspicions.

    3. Jeans without holes and a long-sleeve oxford-type shirt will get you almost anywhere in Tijuana. All the younger locals dress that way. You'll look like a complete asshat in shorts, t-shirt and backwards ball cap. But, if that's your thing, go ahead. I've found that you get a bit more "respect" (maybe not the correct word) from the chicas if you don't look (and smell) like a wino.

    4. Crossing the border late is no biggie. Used to be local fuzz at the taxi drop-off, waiting for inebriated tourists. They'd shake them down for bribes. But I've not seen them there for a long time. Lines late at night are short to non-existent. However, there are many hotels. However, it's not like lots of places where you just get a lady for the night. Most of the time it's just serial 30-minute sessions. If that's your thing, a hotel in the zona may be OK. If you want to just sleep quietly, after a night of fun, there are many decent places. Check out Espana, Caesar, Ticuan, Pueblo Amigo. Warning. Weekend lines at the border can be murder. A couple of weeks ago, on a Sunday, it looked like a 3 or 4 hour wait. If you don't have a SENTRI card, it's best to cross during the week. Mornings around 9, or evenings around 10, should provide the shortest lines.

    5. Take your own. The local ones are like innertubes. Semi-truck innertubes.

    6. Actually, IMHO, the best ones may be at the corner of Coahuila and Ninos Heroes. Inside the shop on the corner. Try the carde asada with cheese. And the roasted peppers are great.

    7. I've seen cops drag guys out of AB for fighting, and the cops got in a few licks of their own. Just be aware, don't get sloppy drunk, and avoid major confrontation. Fights are rare, but there's always the occasional asshole who thinks he's the reincarnation of Chuck Norris. Locals see gringos all the time. No dirty looks. Odd looks sometimes if you go around town with an obvious hooker on your arm. These days, the cops keep a pretty tight lid on things in the zona, so few worries. Unless you're a drug dealer, looking to do business, your chances of getting offed by a cartel member are pretty low. Don't worry.

Us that have had our Smart Phones stolen in HK (and there are a lot of us) will disagree with this statement. Leave your smart phone in your hotel room. You won't get a signal in the clubs anyway.

If you stay in the area where Hong Kong and the other clubs are (or the Av Revolucion clubs, or Zona Rio) , you're risk of getting pickpocketed, mugged or killed by evil drug cartels is very, very low. It is an urban area where there's a disparity of wealth so you should be mindful of that. It has been years since there's been a wave of muggings or dirty cops where you'd want to hide your money in a sock and not carry anything. I was at Hong Kong last night and kept my money and cards in my wallet like I was hitting a club in the US. I treat going to play in Tijuana the same way I would going to Downtown SD. The only difference is there's a fence separating San Diego from Tijuana and sometimes the line to get home is pretty long.

    2. Just always wondered, do they even card you at these places?
Yes. I see them carding people looking under 18 all the time at the door.

    3. How should one dress? I know the obvious no flashy jewelry but can one go dressed decent? Collared shirt? I know the women only care about $ but afterall I don't want to look completely bummy around beautiful women!
Some guys really dress up like they're not going to a hooker bar (and some work Hong Kong into visiting non-hooker dance clubs so dress for that). Some guys will have a dress shirt and jacket. I've noticed older guys seem to dress like they would at their office on casual Friday (slacks, golf shirt). Younger guys where their Affliction t-shirts, expensive jeans, ball cap with the sticker still on the bill, etc. Some local Mexican older guys will wear a suit. Others dress like slobs. Dress comfortably. Both physically and in your head. If you like dressing up when you go out, then be dressy. A lot of guys will wear jewelry and none have issues flashing their smartphones (one of my favoritas loves playing Angry Birds and she's gotten quite good at it). Be mindful Hong Kong is stingy with its AC use. The club is packed with people so if you overheat easily you'll want to avoid too thick of clothes. It gets chilly at night (low 60s). I wear shorts, a casual non-t-shirt shirt, and have a light sweatshirt for when I'm outside.

    4. I've looked online and there appears to be a few hotels available in tijuana. Is this a good call? I've read not to cross the border late at night, So wouldn't it be safer / faster to sleep off a night of partying then cross in the morning? There are several hotels in Tijuana from high end down to shithole. Before I moved to San Diego I'd stay in Tijuana if my trip was mostly mongering and I planned on staying in Tijuana during the off hours. But if I had business or recreational stuff in SD, I'd stay in San Diego. The Marriott in Tijuana is just as nice as the one in Mission Valley San Diego but at about a third of a price. Your money will go a lot farther in Tijuana. Taxis are everywhere and cheap (ask before you get as some taxistas will inflate their prices for tourists that think won't know any better)

The only caution I've read about crossing the border at night is not to walk from the border to the bars and vice versa. Crossing the border itself is completely safe (there was a time years ago where cops would hassle tourist crossing in the middle of the night and shake them down for bribes. That hasn't happened in years and years. If you see police when you get out of the taxi near the border, they're in line at the food truck getting something to eat. For most part, the cops will leave you alone unless you're committing a crime (some tourist think it is OK to [CodeWord140] in the streets, carry open containers and be an ass. If you draw attention to yourself like that, you're not going to have a good time).

Thousands of drunks cross the border at 3am. I joked with the CBP guy they should set up a special lane for drunks and the agent that draws the short straw has to deal with them. You see, lots of young San Diegans to to the clubs in Tijuana drawn by the lower drinking age and lower prices. You see young women in tiny dress and heels flowing into the city in the evening and heading home about 3am. The wait can be very long. If you find yourself wanting to cross back to the US in the middle of the night, try to get there before 230am or after 4am (but not too far after 4 since commuters will start crossing).

But if you're going to cross back drunk and plan on driving in San Diego you'll want to reconsider since as I just mentioned, thousands of drunks cross back in the US late at night and the CHP and SDPD know this will bust people.

You should also consider the level of your drinking until you've gotten the lay of the land. It is the drunks that get ripped off.

    5. Condoms. Take my own?
The hotels above Adelita and Hong Kong include a condom with the room fee. Usually they're Trojans or other mass market brands that do the job. But if you have a nonstandard penis or prefer a different brand bring your own. I bring my own usually because my brand fits me well and is thinner than most, but last night for example I was caught up in the moment and we used the house condom and I have zero complaints.

    6. Tacos! Where is a good place to get some?
You can't swing a dead cat without hitting at least 3 taco stands.[/quote]. I like the one on Const why Coahuila across from the Adelita store but to each his own.

    7. Overall, how safe is the atmosphere? Are there fights often? Dirty looks from locals? The whole drug cartel thing scares the crap out of me. Surprised this area isn't full of them.
I find it very safe. I'm there practically every weekend. I feel as safe as being in the Gaslamp or Pacific Beach bars and areas of San Diego. There are sometimes fights usually among * drunk Americans. When it happens security appears out of nowhere the participants find themselves ejected front he bar. There is practically no cartel presence in the area. If they're there, they're customers in the bar. Tijuana isn't anything like the Texas border towns where the Zetas have public shootouts daily and take over the strip clubs. I used to monger a lot in Nuevo Laredo and cartel activity wise there's no comparison. The cartels operation here realize they can move more product by avoiding civilian casualties. The drug violence in Tijuana is mostly centered around people who rip off the cartel. If you avoid meeting up with cartels or interfere with their business, you'll be fine. Tijuana is a large city and unless you get really lost you'll never come within kilometers of the cartels. You should be more concerned with street gangs in parts of San Diego.

What you'll find when you get here is a lot of the cartel, dirty cops and other stereotypes are overblown. And for the most part, is as safe a city its size in the US.

    Tijuana

Take the trolley to the border for 5 or 7 dollars you can get a ride to the border, walk across grab a cab from the Tijuana side of the border, demand the Hong Kong Club ($5. 00 cab fare) have the taxi driver take you to The Alley side of the hotel so you can get your suit cases put away ASAP. The Alley is actually a street that is named Callejon Coahuila. The Hotel Cascadas is in the same building as Hong Kong Bar http://www.hktijuana.com/ Hotel Cascadas occupies the second floor and higher I think there are six floors. Don't worry about the noise, ask for a third or fourth floor if you are concerned about noise all I do is turn on the TV low when I want to sleep. I really like staying there because the Hong Kong Bar is the center of all the action I usually arrive at about 9 or 10 PM on Thursday and don't leave until Sunday Morning. Thursday evening is when it seems they really ramp up the action in the HK Bar. There are a dozen other clubs in the viscinity that you will want to see, Adelita's is right next door, the two main attractions for me. There are some other nice bars if you want to go for a walk and check out other clubs. When you wake up in the morning go down to the street and bring up a street girl or two, there are several sweeties right in back of the hotel you can have for $20. 00 to $30. 00 Always always be sure to make your deal before bringing a street girl to your room, if you don't there will be an argument about taking her top off etc. Make the DEAL before you take her to your room always so you don't spoil the mood in the room!

Take your wallet, carry it in your front pocket and be careful as you are anyway with your Passport, yes you need your passport upon returning, it is unusual to need any form of identification while in Mexico. I am almost never checked when I cross into Mexico, it is the USA side that is the problem. You will soon realize we are not the free peoples of the world our government claims.

Dress the way you are comfortable, you will see every kind of dress there. I sometimes dress up but usually I wear jeans with a nice shirt, you rarely see a sports jacket on anyone. If you dress sharp you will usually get more attention from the ladies.

Fights are very rare in Zona Norte, on a rare occaision you will realize there is some tension between two people when that happens just go to another area of the Bar, especially HK Bar is huge. If you use your sixth instinct you will never have a problem. Trouble is so rare there for me it is like the chance of gettin hit by lightning. I walk almost everwhere alone and never have a problem. The Cartels own Tijuana and you are their customer, I feel safer in Tijuana than I do in Chicago, Boston, and New York. Stay away from trying to set up your own prostitution ring and don't sell drugs there and you will never have a problem. I LOVE Tijuana and would live there in a minute if I could.

Food, the best food is on the street corner on the right going down to the Chicago Club, I have eaten a thousand of their tacos and never been sick, for $1. 00 he makes the best taco in Tijuana in my opinion.

Condom's I always take my own but the ladies all have them.

Slick, all the info is in here but I'll help you because you're new.

    1. Yes, leave behind.

    2. No.

    3. Jeans and T-shirt is fine. Or collared shirt. Up to you. The girls like it if you smell nice like anywhere.

    4. There are a lot of inexpensive, safe hotels nears Adelitas / Hong Kong.

    5. Take condoms but girls have them, too.

    6. Just about any corner.

    7. I personally like to go in the afternoon / early evening and have never seen any fights but as with anywhere the later the more drunks the more risk.

    8. Have a good time and if you see any big boobs with good service please report.

After hearing about the weekend crowds and noticing that the HK web site is advertising the PPV fights I've decided that I will head down a day early, on Thursday. That will give me three days (two nights) and will make the VIP card more worthwhile. Send me a PM if you want to grab a beer or something. Might be fun to sit in the VIP room on Friday night and watch UFC while feeling up a bunch of chicas.

The only advantage I can think of is that it gives "you" more privacy. Many of the girls will give you a lap dance in the regular booths as well as kissing, groping, pulling out their breasts, etc. So if your purpose is the interview before going upstairs then the VIP booths are not worth it even at $10. If you are a private person then it then it might save you money to do your interview in the VIP. Don't forget you have a limited time in the booth so don't expect to get very far.

    Monday visit

This is my first post. I've been going to the Zona for a few months now. This is my first Monday experience. Got to HK at three. The usual $1 groping at the stages. At 4pm a so-so cream show. At 5pm there was a truly unbelievable show. At te alley stage there was a dancer that did a dildo show. Several dildos. One conected to a LARGE sabre saw, which for $1 you could help her with the contraption.

Next with the Red Sox on the TV in the background she played with a baseball bat (condom attached) with help from patrons for $1. I love this place.

At 7pm my favorita was not working so I got a chica out side HK (Gabby?) 250p sin ropa FS. At Cascada showed VIP card and the guy at the desk said it was up to the girl. She said something to the guy in spanish about quince minutes. I said no-at least viente and NO knock. I had my session for almost 1/2 hour, when done I showered and left. Not even a cum boy to be seen! Showed my VIP. Got the guy at the front to get the van to border. $1 propina. Only bummer 2 hr wait at La Lina at 8pm. Agent were changing shifts, only line by Sentri open.

    VIP rooms

I couldn't quite understand it while I was there. They really push their VIP rooms and buckets of beer but it seemed to be a much better deal just to go to the hotel. Rooms are 15 bucks instead of 12 at Adelita's but they are slightly nicer rooms, the one I went to had a shower there. Nice lighting. They pushed and pushed for the VIP room which with the beer was something like 50-60 bucks. I was like "really, WTF?"

I don't understand the lap dances either. Just pick a girl and go have some fun! I have also learned that the meseros are also pushy, trying to insert themselves into the deal and get a tip. I am just going straight to the chica in the future.

Seems to me that the girls are somewhat prettier at Hang Kong overall than at Adelita's, but the ones I have had at Adelita's lately have been more relaxed, more accomodating and friendlier.

So the idea is that you take a girl there so you can chat quietly while you get to know her and negotiate for upstairs? Is this where they take you for private dances? And how does the Sky Bar fit into this? I am debating getting a VIP card while I am there. I plan to stay in the hotel on a Friday, so the 20% off will save me $10 (or $20 on a jacuzzi room). It says it comes with discounts to the VIP rooms, but I can't see how that would be worth it.

Is it ever worth it to get a private dance, to "test the waters" with a girl before taking her upstairs? The VIP card says it includes half-off lap dances, but that doesn't seem worth it if no one really does dances. I mean, if a lap dance dance is $20 (1/3 the cost of a trip upstairs) then that doesn't seem worthwhile. But if you can get a dance for $10 or so it might be a good thing to see what the girl is like in private, right? Or is it not really worth getting private dances when you can just go upstairs?

The VIP card would have to save me $50 over the two days (one night) that I will be there. I'd basically have to do 4-5 dances to be worthwhile.
