Spent six nights at the Hong Kong Club recently, and thought I'd share my impressions.

The upgraded, three-level interior has drastically reduced the crowding at peak times. The second floor booths overlooking the first floor provide an excellent vantage point of the main stage and bar stage downstairs. Third floor booths don't offer the same view, but they seemed a popular spot for guys who wanted a somewhat secluded spot to sit with a girl. Didn't check out the VIP room. The mens room is much bigger than before and well maintained.

Beers are $3.50. Didn't buy any hard liquor or chica drinks, so can't report on those prices. Service is good, and the hustle factor is limited to an occasional inquiry whether you'd like to have a girl come sit with you. I suspect the staff gets a cut of private dances, but I'm not sure. In any event, they're not obnoxious about it. No problems with unordered snacks or failure to make correct change. Saturday night entry required purchase of warm beer from a tub at the door. A necessary evil to keep the lookie loos out. IMHO, Adelita Bar should do the same on Friday and Saturday nights.
