The police presence is getting way out of hand and I sure it is going to start taking its toll on visits from the north.

It only appears to be getting out of hand to those who do not travel frequently into Mexico, especially those from the US. TJ Cops are patrolling all the bars now, and I have seen them aks people for ID lately. Mainly locals, but you never know. Make sure to have your ID with you at all times in TJ.
