I think the actual writing that "Toby" did on this site was more or less the same.

I know many on this site have a view that these girls are so poor and just trying to make a better life but most of them are lazy and it's easy money for the least amount of work. Mexico has thousands of poor women who go and do honest work day in and day out to provide for themselves and family without having to resort to prostitution. Lots of girls working in a place like HK want a certain lifestyle and put material things above honest work. Or they are really trying to make as much as possible to get a business of their own.

Now no matter what type of living a woman does in Mexico no type of harm should be done but unfortunately it happens in Mexico and many other countries.

Well I think the journalist was just describing things from one point of view and taking he word of "Toby" on most things instead of trying to verify many details. And as much as I appreciated "Toby" explaining what happened on this site and still feel bad for the guilt he has I think the article did a poor job as painting him as the main person that brought this guy down. It was the work of the last family that brought the issue to light more along with the work from the Zeta journalist.

I knew they finally caught the serial killer who murdered the girl referenced in the post above but didn't know until earlier today that Vice published a feature story on it a few months ago (see link above). "Toby" in the linked article was actually posting on these boards quite a bit under the username "Regias Voice" back in 2022 around this time doing everything he could to provide and gather information about the (then unsolved) murder of his girlfriend. Genuinely happy to see that his persistence in solving the case resulted in increased awareness about the murders of chicas in Zona Norte, even if it did (very unfortunately) take additional killings before authorities set the wheels in motion to make an arrest.

Genuinely happy to see that his persistence in solving the case resulted in increased awareness about the murders of chicas in Zona Norte, even if it did (very unfortunately) take additional killings before authorities set the wheels in motion to make an arrest.

I know we've disagreed on this before and many on this board seem to think that HK is stealing from them some how but you know they are inflating the price because you came to them and they have a business to run. I just wonder if you feel scammed with every business you go to? If you go to a sporting event and get what they charge for things like parking, food, drinks. What about the prices at a movie theater, and now how much restaurants or even fast food charges for things.

Like others have said you can control the issue by just letting the girl know that you don't buy wine so it's her decision to drink with you. Just walking away because she orders a wine with no explanation on your part seems very childish to me and you might think she is wishing she had ordered a beer but with the way these girl mind works she's just thinking of you as a cheap person and she's better off not wasting time with you.

As for the part about girls ordering 3 wines in 15 minutes I think you might want to learn Spanish or somehow find a way for the girls to talk more. I have yet to be with a girl that didn't order a wine that lasted at least 20 minutes. Last girl sat with me for pretty much her whole shift and only bought maybe 8 or 10 wines.

You really paid $300 for a woman to sit with you for 8 hours? Really? You really went to a *****house and paid a woman to sit and talk to you for only $300.

I'm a bit confused, are the lady drinks $11 or $12 at HK now. I saw a post about $11 and now I'm seeing people say $12 unless they are just including a $1 tip for the waiter.

Also note, they don't have to get beer. They can even get a small shot too.

Beer for a HK lady is $11, plus a dollar tip for the mesero (waiter).

I spend thousands of dollars every time to go to HK. I go there to spend money and have a good time. I don't mind spending as long as I'm having fun. I don't speak Spanish and to be honest, I don't really care to get to know the girls. The girls used to dance for the customer after buying a drink. The whole club was getting lap dances everywhere. I would buy 5 - 10 drinks when the girl was dancing for me. The girl was dancing, I was spending, the waiter was getting tipped for bringing drinks, the girl was getting her drink tickets, and HK was making money. Everyone wins.

New management wanted to start pushing lap dances for money in the Miami room so now they often tell the girl she has to stop dancing for the customer. So for me, there is not a lot of point in buying multiple drinks for a girl that's going to sit next to me. And now they try to get $30 instead of $12 for the same thing. My favorite thing about HK was buying drinks and having fun with the girl. If she was fun, I'd take her upstairs and pay her. Since they've made changes, I spend far less in the club than I used to. Now I'll just walk up to girl, buy her no drinks, and take up upstairs. I'd rather buy multiple drinks and have fun with her. But HK has cracked down on that compared to a year ago. Changes made defeats my purpose in buying drinks. Now to be asked to pay $30 for nothing? Nope.

That's how it used to be back in the day when it was fun like you say. Now all they care about is extracting every dollar they can from dumb gringos that put up with their horrible customer service, bringing or stealing your change, and expecting us to pay the salaries of their employees instead of them paying it. I hope the whole area shuts down or better yet, the drug cartels kill every employee there: managers waiters and cum boys. What a dream.

Better yet just SYM (Save Your Money) and don't go out and enjoy life at all. It's not like we are going to Tijuana to enjoy what we can't get at home. LOL.

I'm trying to understand what exactly is the scam in any of the examples you gave above?

The $40 room fee is for short time. HK raised the price because they want you to get a room for all night so if you have your own room that is what they want.

The ficha drinks aren't mandatory if you want to avoid it just tell the girl you want to go upstairs, if you buy the drink your paying for her time since she's there to make money not be your friend.

I'll give you the robe fee being unnecessary but it's only a buck and I just figure it's part of the girls fee, if the girl asked for $101 instead of $100 would you walk away or think she was taking advantage of you?

The cleaning boys can be annoying but it's not mandatory to give them anything, I think most guys just do it so you don't look cheap in front of the girl.

Also if you use the HK shuttle your saving more than the $2 that you'the spend on those so called scams so it's a win win.

It's not like you buy a 12 dollar drink and you relax. You have these illiterate waiters who hover over you and ask for another drink for the girl. They are like bees. If the girl doesn't dance for you from what you guys say they don't allow anymore, what's the point. Just go to the room and pay 40.00 for 30 minutes. What a joke. I would never want to stay in that area. I'll stick to Caesars or Ticuan. I'll stick to escorts and trying to get girls to come from bars when they are off.

So you paid $240-$300 plus tips to sit with a puta all evening? It is your money and if that is what you enjoy. Great, but I pay $200-$300 for a 10-12 hour TLN at my hotel. Your girl made about $100 in fichas. My girls make $300 cash. That always includes BBBJ and sometimes anal. I get satisfied.

And my experience with the wine scam is a little different. The first (and only) time she has that little bottle of Ripple down in about 5 minutes. She had to be enjoying your company to stretch it out. Or maybe you lost count?

I was trying to find KoolBeans original post but couldn't for some reason. I have been warning all the girls I know, but wanted to find out about the chat group he mentioned. Some of the girls know what happened but most only know the clubs official story of OD. This was murder.
