Interesting. I checked in last week using a Visa card for payment.

I had no issues using my card.

It was a debit card rather than credit card because it is linked to my Schwab checking account which gives a great exchange rate.

But the front desk clerk did not know it was a debit card till I gave him the card. In fact he probably didn't even know it was debit card.

They do take a copy of your drivers license.
