Some dude walked with me across the street at the Pharmacy close to the Zona. He flashed a badge and told me I was crossing street illegally. Pressed me on it obviously wanting money or else he would call it in with some walkie talkie looking thing in his hand. I was respectful, calm and suggested he call it in. He went away and told me to be more careful. At the time I had a lot of money on me but I was not giving this dude a peso even if I thought he was real. And I was sure he was fake police.

I do not pay these guys not even 100 pesos. I have a look that is easy to remember. If they see me pay once they will be all over me like flies every time I come down. Have been approached to pay multiple times by legit cops since the 90's and never have I paid. Do not be a jerk. Be respectful. And things will work out.

I posted the exact same fake cop situation a few months ago in the Tijuana crime thread. It sounds like the dude was less aggressive toward you. Let me guess, the fake cop was in his late 40's and spoke good English?

You should definitely buy HK's VIP card $60 for Cascada's 70% room discount on Mon and Tuesday. Walk up the stair on Cascada's North entrance. The VIP service desk is nest to reception and the pussy lounge next to the elevator.

Cascada will let you bring in unlimited number of bar and street girls with no guest surcharge. It will help you have the most fun with the least amount of time and effort.

In the day time you can walk to the Arc / Nelson Plaza and the tourist traps on Ave Revo, also the locals' shopping district on Constitucion and the Cathedral Plaza. At night you should stay in the lounges and only walk around the bar block if necessary. A lot of people have gone hungry under the pandemic; assaults and robberies may happen on surrounding streets.

Decided over the weekend to spontaneously buy a flight to Tijuana this coming up week. It sounds like a lot of the bars / hk is closed but there's still plenty of street action. This is going to be my first time in Tijuana but almost certainly not my last. I've been mongering in Thailand, Colombia and some parts of Europe so I'm sure it won't be too different than those places. However I'the love any tips or advice anyone might have! I'm arriving Monday night and read there was a big discount at hotel cascada on Monday Tuesdays. Should I book and stay there even though HK club is closed?

Me and a few buddies got lucky and went the weekend of the June 12th when HK reopened. Quality of girls was amazing. We want to go back next weekend but don't know what the situation is. Is the border open, will clubs have girls in the lounge area to pick from? Is a suite at HK worth it?

Things are slightly different during the pandemic, so you'll probably get more mileage. But this really isn't a great time to visit Tijuana unless you already know somebody.

You can get a room at Hotel Coahuila (above Adelitas bar) Monday-Wednesday for just $20/ night. I'll be in Tijuana Monday-Tuesday and will stay there. I plan on doing escorts, paraditas and whatever I like from the Adelitas girls hanging out in Hotel Coahuila.

Has Border Station Parking lowered their rates? Usually Fri-Sun is roughly $40/45 a day.

Border Station parking weekend / holiday rates were $15 per 12 hours in October, it is cheaper during week days.
