Yes, there are people like you who are treating this like a joke. Even President Trump changed his tone:

The world's smartest people are saying to be careful.

Concur w / Captain solo.
1) so few confirmed cases in Mex, true? I doubt it. Too many now in USA Even USA Cannot test so many people in a short time, how can Mex? They may just let it go since they need Ame $.
2) Even if mortality rate is low, survivors might still lose 20 - 30% liver functions (I read a med report).

Jackie.
With a highly transient population with migrants, deportees, out of state workers, visitors from all over the world, and a lot of kissing, sucking, drugs injection in La Zona Norte, Tijuana most certainly already had infected and latently-infected people, of whom nobody bothers to diagnose, treat or report. Perhaps until there are a few dozens of cold, dead bodies on the street, then somebody would take notice. Schools in Mexico are closed for long Spring break until April. There may be more news about infections and dead people in a few weeks.
If you get infected, hospitals will be so overwhelmed that you may be lying on the sidewalk waiting for treatment. Even schools, bars, restaurants, sports event in Calif have been ordered closed for a month or longer. To stay alive and come back to warm the hearts of your Tijuana sweethearts, it may be prudent to stay off all gathering places and wait for confirmed news that the pandemic has cleared up.
Don t let Jackie take over all your hot chicas for himself!

Was there both this past Tuesday and Friday. Was raining a little Tuesday so not as much traffic. HK was busy Friday as usual but not jammed packed but busy none the less. Went to Adelitas to bang this Venezuelan I met that past Tuesday. Not too many people In Adelitas. Both times BTW were peek time. I'm going again this week. How can I sit on my hands with an exchange rate at nearly 23. I urge everybody on this board to operate as usual. For you married guys just tell your wife it's the only place you can still shit and wipe your ass. It's a great time to be alive fellas.

Posts: 537I posted it when I went but just this past Wednesday it was packed as if it was a weekend night. Everything was practically at max capacity. Most guys were probably there because, like me, realized it could be one of the last nights we'the be stepping foot in there for a while. Maybe some of the bros who have chicas numbers can share their info to set up private appointments. With the women's permission of course. I'm sure a lot of them are going to be hurting for money in the weeks to come.
Would be interesting to hear from anyone who made it out there this weekend though. On one hand I can't imagine it have been business as usual. On the other hand, us men have our needs, virus be damned.
Edit: if anyone has Ruth’s number please slide it my way.

Not sure how it is now, a lot more panicking has ensued since past Tuesday it seems, but that Spring Break papas and beers festival is going on now, and I've been watching there IG stories, seems to be pretty busy there.

Posts: 657Fearmongering. . . May mean Better Deals in Tijuana For you
"Coronavirus outbreaks on ocean liners are instructive – hundreds of passengers, largely older vacationing adults, were initially found to be infected but the death rate was under 1%. (Note: news agencies are burying these early reports and re-linking to more recent updates). An analysis of elderly vacationers on board an ocean liner reveals a quarantine resulted in infection of 619 passengers rather than the predicted 70 if the quarantine was not mandated.
As of March 12,2020, only 37 coronavirus deaths have been reported in the USA, an unusually low number compared to deaths from wintertime influenza that are frankly over-stated by the Centers for Disease Control every year in an attempt to scare the masses to vaccinate. "
Of the deaths reported in the USA, most were 70 and 80 year olds. . . Smokers, diabetics, obese, alcohol abusers, prescription or illicit drug users, and nutrient deficient individuals are at greatest risk for a mortal outcome and should be advised to supplement their diet with vitamin the, vitamin see and zinc.
The media motto is that "if it bleeds, it leads". The media is whipping up hysteria that is far worse than the disease, but if you are not in the risk categories, you can benefit by discount travel deals and ignoring the hype.

Posts: 2421Real dangers of the Corona virus
Ecuador and other Latin countries just closed its border. Some African countries are closing their borders. Spain just locked down. France just ordered the closing of restaurants and night clubs.
Mexico closing its border to the US would be devastating to its economy because literally a hundred thousand Mexicans actually work in San Diego every day and cross back to Mexico every night.
I suspect that Mexico would follow the France model first and close down (HK) clubs and sporting events. The danger of the Corona Virus is its super contagious.
If you get it, chances are thousands of people near you also have it, and there is not enough medication or doctors or hospital beds for you. You're going to have to suck it up and go through a really bad flu without medication. This is the reason you may die. You will not have access to health care because doctors are too fucking busy treating other people. And Walmart and everyone else ran out of cough drops and theraflu.

Anyway, was planning on visiting tomorrow but I have to leave on business. So how are border crossings with Mexico threatening to close its border to us?

The car has about 8" ground clearance.
Never had problems with ground clearance, including the time Tijuana dug up the streets all over to install new drainage tubes. Went right over muddy, deep pot holes and streams of rain water.
