What do you mean by this? I always bring about 40 usd worth of pesos for beer and food. Beer only cost me 80 pesos including a tip to the bartender compared to 5 usd with a tip, saving me about a dollar each beer. Of course, I tip and pay the ladies in usd.

Every place in the Zona takes dollars and pesos. Even outside of the Zona you can usually pay with dollars (although the conversion rate may be poor).

The argument about whether or not you are better off paying in dollars or pesos would take many pages. In general, though, unless you are good with math and converting on your feet, you'll *probably* be fine sticking with dollars. The major bars like HK use the dollar as the baseline and adjust their peso prices as the value changes, so dollars are fine there. Generally you aren't going to save a lot by using pesos and you may screw yourself or end up stuck with pesos after your trip, so it's your call which way to go.

Street girls will *usually* be better off paying in pesos, but not always and YMMV.

Girls are fine and do not care, probably because the $20 bill peso is $2 pesos worth more than 1 $US. I also do not care about those $2 pesos because whatever. When you check in there should be a total of 10 drinks in the fridge. If its under 10 take a picture and head for the desk and let them know.

One other thing that the desk does is to forget to tell you to keep the receipt of your room deposit. On my last trip, the poor guy in front of me could not find his and they wouldn't refund his deposit. I had mine by accident, but I didn't recall them ever telling us we had to keep that hand-written piece of paper as proof of deposit. Fuckers.

When I stayed in cascades for 2 nights my mini fridge was locked. I don't think I could even open it up so I couldn't take any drinks even if I wanted to LOL. An easy fix is to take a pic of the drinks once you leave the room to check out. Then show them the pic and the time you took it. They wouldn't be able to dispute that.

No beer to begin with? I think maybe they don't even know (or care) what should be in the mini bar. Mine last week had 5 Tecates, 2 cokes, 1 Redbull, 2 waters, and a Gatorade.

I never drink from mini bars, but when I checked out on Saturday the clerk in the north lobby started to tell me I did. He backed down when I pushed back (politely). Maybe this is just a trick they try when they think they can get away with it?

When I was checking in a guy tried talking me into buying a VIP membership. I was only staying one night and did not think that I would be able to make it back. I told him that and I think that I set myself up. When I checked out they said that I drank three beers from the mini bar. There was no beer in there to begin with. They kept $25.00 of my deposit. I was to big of a wimp to argue with anyone in Tijuana. Lesson learned.

I did one girl from Hong Kong and one from Bar Tropical. I think one thing that disqualifies a girl from working at HK and going to BT is the baby damage. They can hide it better with what they were at BT. My 7 from BT gave a better effort than the dead fish of a 10 I got from HK. Everyone pretty much says this on the board, but I had to be a sucker for a big ass with no hail damage. She was lame, but the girl with the baby damage tried a bit harder and was cheaper.

To prevent minibar charges, I leave a buck or two tip for the room cleaners on top of the minibar fridge, along with some American bubble gum. Never been charged for minibar usage unfairly with that insurance policy. . .

I have had them claim that I drank from the mini bar when I had zero. I pushed back and they reneged quickly. (I rarely drink at all and never beer.) I have to wonder if maybe the guys that check the room report beer missing, and if the client lets it go like you did, they take the beer for themselves. I check the bar when I first enter the room and take a picture of it with my phone. Sometimes the girls will drink from the mini bar with my permission.

I also took a picture of the mini fridge contents when I arrived in case there was an issue. I had a bar girl grab a red bull which I had no problem with and went across the street to the oxxo to replace it be morning.
