Most chicas here are the chubby type, prefered by local Mexican rancheros... I have not found any chicas who excite me.

There are no strippers here. Occasionally a few girls would go up and dance with each other etc... Not much to look at.

I would feel so bored sitting there without some tits and asses to squeeze...

IMHO the girls at Las Chevelas are not in the same league as those at the Adelita Bar or the Hong Kong Club. But on busy nights I've spotted three or four who were worth a second look. I suspect that having a little bit of Spanish might help you approach these diamonds in the rough.

This Miami dance bar used to belong to Hong Kong. It's gone now, remodeled and replaced by the swanking new Las Chevelas, which has 2 entrances on both Coahuila and the alley.

This is sort of two clubs in one. The part that's closer to the Coahuila door is rather down at the heels. There is a bar where the chicas sit, and a collection of beat up booths with small tables. It's also rather dark. This half of Las Chavelas hasn't changed much since the early 1990s.

As you walk toward the alley you get to the renovated part that formerly housed the Miami Bar. There is a small stage, where sometimes they have a live band. Again this is a throwback to the old days. But when I'm fed up with the techno stuff they play at the Hong Kong Club it's a nice change.

Past the stage there is a dance floor, some more booths, nicely renovated rest rooms, a private party room and a second bar. This part of the club has better lighting and a more spacious feel. There are also lots of flat screen TVs. It's a good place to kill some time between sessions. Most of the chicas congregate at the other end of the club and you can be alone if you want.

This Miami dance bar used to belong to Hong Kong. It's gone now, rermodeled and replaced by the swanking new Las Chevelas, which has 2 entrances on both Coiahuila and the alley.

This bar is decked out in Country Western theme, nice, new, clean with 2 dance floors for mostly mexican ranchers dancing with the chicas to Mexican music. I was not impressed with the chicas here, but this weekend spotted a very young, good-looking chicas with big, bouncy boobs and tight ass, heading towards Hotel Cascada with a john.

The modus operandi here look like buying ficha drinks for your favorite chica, and sitting around chatting and dancing with her. The customers and the chicas here look like prudes. I never saw the raunchy lap dances and the sexy groping, squeezing, kissing, sucking... like in HK.

Remember chicas in the old Miami and the present Tropical bar all dance for a $ propina. Las Chevelas is definitely worth monitoring for that chica bonita.

Any bro who knows how things work and which chicas give the best bangs for the buck, please post it here.

It's still there. LC and Miami are now one big bar. If you walk through one, you'll get to the other. Walk into LC from Coahuila, go straight through and you'll exit Miami's door in the alley.

I don't know if they still call it Miami or not. The signage may have changed on the alley side.

When in Tijuana about 5 years ago, I enjoyed this place. But I see no posting since Sept. Of 08. I'll be visiting again in about 10 days. Does anyone have an update?

I rather like the new layout, except for too many floor level changes. It's a bit brighter and seems more, I don't know, airy or spacious. The old layout always seemed kind of cramped.

I went through yesterday afternoon and saw the same thing I saw last time I went through. The place was completely empty. There is apparently an invisible force field at the border of LC and Miami. LC was pretty busy, with several customers, lots of lonely ladies (some fairly attractive). But they were all crammed into the LC side. Odd.

It's not that bad, they have the token lesbian shave cream show, coldest beer in town 2 for 1 till 7pm. It is comfortable, not too loud, smoke free, good place to chill. When they remodel Las Chubbies (Chavelas) in the near future all the chicas from LC will be at Miami no doubt.

I personally love the new Miami but only for a beer stop, place to chill or hook up with a chica from another bar. Good meating place.

I've had a gal in the booth with a bucket and we were able to take the bucket into the hotelroom so we could drink while we fucked.

One time I paid the photographer for a picture, just to get him to quit hassleing me and the gal that was sitting on my lap. He didn't return with the change from a twenty. We called a waiter over and he gives me the change out of his pocket and then he went and got the money from the other guy. The next time I saw the girl she said the photo guy got in big trouble for trying a stunt like that. Evidently they don't want a reputaion like that of the Revo Blvd spots. If you are right and bring it up in a good way, I think they'll do right by you.

Yes, you were conned. Remember something: waiters in these bars do not earn a salary. They make money on tips and whatever they can con you out of. That goes from making bad change to screw jobs like what happened to you.

The last waiter who tried to con me got fired on the spot (El torito), so if they get caught, it's big problems; you have tot alk to the boss. In Zona bars, they know that there are a hundred guys who will take your seat so they might not give a shit if you up and leave. They count on intimidating tourists, especially gringos. If you sense that you're getting screwed by a waiter, it's time to move on to another bar because it won't stop there. Make sure you complain on the way out the door.

You were conned. I've moved from HK to Miami many times, and have never been asked to buy my chica a bucket.

You need to call them on it, and remain firm. If they just show up with a bucket at your table, don't accept it, and ask to see el jefe (the boss) if you have to.

Of course, you will have to buy at least one beer if you're sitting with her at a table.

Thanks. I kind of had a feeling. Its not like we weren't buying them plenty of ficha drinks. We ended up staying in HK because we didn't want to continue drinking that long before going upstairs.

If (when) I go back and I want to take a girl to Miami, rather than argue which will just put me in a bad mood, I'll just tell the chica I'll next door in Miami and if she wants to drink with me to hurry up and get her over there before I'm get drunk enough for the gorditas.
