On going to Jaco beach in Nov.
Claritas Beach Hotel is about 2 miles north of downtown Jaco. It is a small beach hotel with a bar/restaurant. Not much going on there, although you hear about it because they obviously spend quite a bit of money advertising the place. You can stay there, but it is way off the beaten track for mongering. No chicas there unless you come and bring some with you.....that I know of.

Most all your mongering action will center around the Beatle Bar in Jaco. Lots of action there every night of the year.
I am down the road about 60 miles right now is Quepos. Been here for 3 weeks and have another week to go. Been back up to Jaco a couple of times in the last couple of weeks. Steve

Hey everyone, been a few months since I first posted. Thanks again Chase for your early input. I just finalized travel this week and we'll be going to Jaco Nov 10-15!

I've been hearing alot of buzz about a spot called Clarita's http://www.claritashotel.com/ It's located a few blocks from Bestwestern. Anyone have any input on this place? Nice place to stay? Food? Ticas?

Does anyone know of a direct bus line from San Jose Airport to Jaco? We would like to reserve the bus fare prior to arrival if possible... and what's the ATM situation in Jaco? Are traveler's checks the best idea? Do the Casinos have ATMs as well?

I'll be in San Jose on Tuesday night and moving around the country during the following week. Perhaps I'll see some of you Mongers out and about. I'll be the tall blond guy with the Lakers ball cap. Stop by and say hi if I'm not knee deep in trying to seal the deal with the chica of the moment.

If you never been to Jaco and plan on going you should print out Stevewxly’s last post. Follow it and you’ll have a good time. We all know beattle bar is a sure thing, here's a few places with a mix of working girls, locals, & tourist.

Coca Coral Casio- Try your luck at slots or poker. Most games you can play with either Colones or Dollars. Free drinks while you gamble.

Tabacom Pizza Bar- Don’t let the name fool you. This is a cool restaurant & bar. Lots of nightly drink specials, live music & pool. It closes at midnight.

The Backyard Bar- Located in Playa Hermosa, a 5 mile cab ride from Jaco. I believe Wednesday & Friday is ladies night and the club is packed with local hotties.

Plaza Centro (aka the main mall)- This plaza houses Nacha Daddies & three other businesses mongers need. It has a Pharmacy, sex shop, Bank of America ATM that will spit out both dollars & colones.

No-name beach bar- Loaced at the end of Calle del Bohio. I believe it’s the only beach bar on Jaco that gives you a nice view to check out the beach traffic. Heard its gonna close ones of these days due to a nearby condo development.
