The dollar has been dropping lately. Can anyone advise us of a good way to buy some Colombian Peso in the US.

As said before, the dollar was as high as 4300 or 4400 if I remember correctly, then the virus hit and the USA has been spending money like water, causing the dollar to drop. However, the Covid gravy train has stopped and if Trump gets re-elected and the republicans stay in charge of at least 2 branches the out of control spending is over, but that's not the case in Colombia. Colombia's economy has been severely injured and oil has dropped again, the backbone of the Peso. That being said in MHO, I don't see a strong peso any time soon. I think you'll do better at a bank ATM once in Bogota. You can always use the ATM in the airport to get enough for the taxi and a few days. You may find buying COP now, in the states is not your best bet.

Anybody going to be around Medellin at this time let me know. I will be staying near estadio again. Be interested in exploring some out of the way places. Prefer experienced people in Medellin.

Yeah, you are right. It was up and down around 4000 COP / $1 for about a month just 4 months ago. TM. Just visit xe.com see the charts. No reason to try and bite his head off. Only issue is posted in wrong topic area.

Most banks have this ability so ask your bank. If you do not have an account at that bank they will of course not help you (non-customer). Some charge fees. Some do not charge fees. There is a minimum amount of course but you will easily beat that. Usually takes a week to receive. I believe the exchange rate is realistic (good).

On a serious note, what if I wanted to have an entourage of 3-4 girls TLD / TLN? How would you go about setting this up?

I was already thinking about this at night one going to the clubs and if I find girls I like, I will get their number and then ask them to breakfast / lunch the next day. Negotiate a price for todo la Semana, and then just pay them the morning after for each day. Financial wise, I have figured it out that I'm going to keep cash in the front desk safe of the JW and use ATMs when needed.

You will not need $500 per day unless you want a entourage of 7-8 Chicas. Even the top shelf girls can be had for $77. When I'm in town going prices I have seen are $120,000 COP - $300,000.

I want to also thank Punkedlife for the information and eye opening experiences to help me realized just how many mistakes I had made in Centro and to really open my eyes and take caution with girls in Parque Botero. Many of you guys have no idea how well informed and structured the girls in Parque Botero are, but after an experiment, I will be limiting my dates with chics in the park. Trust me, I and many others have made some huge mistakes and I can only thank God for the chance to say that I have not been robbed or drugged, but I will not give them another chance to get an opportunity to get close enough to rob or drug me. Matter of fact, I may just only do short term hotel dates or ask girls to not bring any bags or items to my Condo, the chances of being robbed or drugged is just to great nowadays.
