First trip to Medellin April 20-April 25

Any younger mongers in this board? I'm 27, south american, but I've been living in the US for the past 10 years. Came to the US to get my college degree, but stayed after I graduated. Since then I've gone on a couple of trips to my native country in South America and enjoyed chica-hunting greatly.

I'm fluent in Spanish, and I'm planning my first trip to Medellin. I've done plenty of research and I think I have enough information to be safe in Medellin.

Right now, the tentative date for my trip to Medellin is April 20th, for 5 days.

I'd like to know if any of you would like to join me, or in the case of experienced travelers in Colombia, would you mind letting me tag along and showing me around?

I think it would be much easier for me going out with guys who already know where the casas and night clubs are. And you gringos might benefit from my Spanish skills.

    Please PM me.

Try to get some rooms with Parcero. If all else fails, rent an apartment and look on the list for english speaking drivers.

Guys, arrived the other day for a few weeks here. Not my first time, by far.

Anyone want to hook up for a beer and trawl mayorista (tonite for sure around 10pm) and some other sleazy dives? Not particularly into casas persay.

Have just set up the PM thing, not sure how long it takes to activate, then I can PM you my comcel or home contact no's. Horita

    Hey guys,

New to the monger scene. I'm from Canada, but in Cartagena until Mar 10. Already have an apt in Bocagrande, but it would be cool to meet up with some people from this board if you happen to be in the area. Can't post my email, so pm me your email or phone num (I bought a local sim card)

You are right. The annual fee is around $70, plus it is hard to use the miles they give you. I am most always rejected on the flights I want, and when they do give them to you it would be on a flight they are charging a very low charge anyway. The thing that costs the most are the taxes on the overseas flights. You pay them even on the so called free flights.
