Heading to Medellin alone at this point. I am working on a place to stay and have stayed at Vip and the Mansion in the past. I am also thinking of an apartment. Let me know if there are any wingmen available.
Safe travels

Posts: 1094Medellin apartment share - June 2 - June 10
I am close to booking a 2BR apartment from June 2 - June 10. Looking for a like-minded monger to split the rent. I am from the US (East Coast), lo-key, non-smoker who drinks a litte and like hunting for bargain p***y.
Can be great to hang out as well but not required. PM me if our schedules match up.

I really want to experience the Colombian scene and then the Asian scene within the same trip.
What about Mexico City to Bangkok as a way out of there. Maybe better to go from Bog to MC then BKK, as opposed to Bog to BKK ( if that is possible).
Do you know any other members that have tried this?

Anyone wants to hang out for a beer?
First time in Colombia but traveling dog, used to rough countries. Don't speak Spanish but should be able to communicate in Spanish (due to some other languages I speak).

Mate I have looked into this for a while as I really want to get to Bangkok sometime this year but it seems there is no cheap way around it.
Let us know what you come up with.

Can anyone give recommendations on places to stay in Manizales?Appts. or hotels as long as its fairly reasonable.I've searched high and low and i only come up with one hotel called las colinas at $150.US and colombiacupido has furnished appts. starting at $90.US. I'd like to find something for a little less money if i could. my novia has moved to manizales and i will be traveling there every four to six weeks and asking her to find me something is useless.

Posts: 11Advice on places to go
I am looking for some advice on a couple of cities to visit. First of all I fly out of Medellin on the 26th of Feb. So naturally I will be staying there for a few days. I am looking at either an apartment or the manison/VIP, which is best. My spanish is at the beginners level, meaning very, very basic.
Now the question are:
1. I am coming from Quito, so I can fly pretty much to any of the cities for about the same price. So what would be better, spend a few days in Bogota or Cartagena, or another city? Again my spanish skills are basic.
I have found some fairly cheap places to stay in either city. Just wonder which is best for someone new to Colombia? Plus which has the better women as far as price and best experience level.
I am not new to South America as I have spent 2 1/2 months between Lima and Buenos Airies. Also as far as beach scene, that is not important as I am spending 5 days in N.Peru beaches.
Any help and advice would be wonderful as I have been looking forward to seeing Colombia this whole trip. I also have a friend who lives in MANIZALES if he home, but again don't know the area. Thanks in a advance.

Will be staying somewhere, possibly VIP, in MDE for the week and have completely open plans. Mid-thirties blond gringo with low to moderate conversational spanish skills.
Open to suggestions, first round on me if anyone wants to meet at Mangos.
