If I don't cancel my plans again, I had a flight two weeks ago that I cancelled, I will be in Medellin from the 4th until the 10th staying at my apartment in Poblado. Not sure of all of my activities as of yet, but might be able to meet up some here for a drink during the day.

After much debate and even more searching I finally came up with a workable plan to get to Medellin. Finding a place in Indiana where I can get a Covid test Thursday and get results before Sunday was difficult. I finally decided to fly to Miami on Sunday, get tested Monday and fly on to Medellin on Tuesday. Of course after I booked everything, found a place which could test me Thursday and get results Friday, but it requires a 360 mile round trip. That would allow a straight through on Sunday and save some money. Depends on how much the airlines will hit me for.

Plan on staying just on the border of Envigado and Poblado.

Already lived in Colombia for studies practically 4 years. I am from Europe, 26 years old but cannot resist to any big operated ass.

I'll be in Medellin for about 5 weeks starting the third week of October. It will be my first trip to Colombia but I'm not new to the hobby even though I'm on the younger side (40 yo). Anyways I'm eager to hit the ground running and figure out how things work out here. My Spanish is basically nonexistent but I plan to change that and study while I'm in country. Yeah, you are right. It was up and down around 4000 COP / $1 for about a month just 4 months ago. TM. Just visit xe.com see the charts. No reason to try and bite his head off. Only issue is posted in wrong topic area.

Most banks have this ability so ask your bank. If you do not have an account at that bank they will of course not help you (non-customer). Some charge fees. Some do not charge fees. There is a minimum amount of course but you will easily beat that. Usually takes a week to receive. I believe the exchange rate is realistic (good).

Get a Charles Schwab account, you won't have to worry about ATM fees, no need to get ripped at casas de cambios.
