Hi everybody,

As I said before I'm traveling from Havana to Holguin and maybe to Santiago and spending some days in one or two cities on the road.

After an extensive research I've decided not to rent a car but also hire a local driver (with car of course), I think this is cheaper and maybe would bring a good local guide. Also I've read this could be the best way to meet chicas.

If someone have comments or advice would be grateful.

Thanks to all for all for all the posts, good and bad, about Cuba. Wheels up in about 7 hours. I will be in Vedado manana, first time in Cuba after 7 in La Rd and 7 in Costa Rica. If you see a dopey looking Canadian loolking lost, chasing a girl and a smooth glass of rum, that is me. If you are around, let me buy you a drink.

I am staying in a casa in Vedado. I will be drunk most times, but you will find me at an Industriales game or on a bar-stool.

I'm going to travel from April 9 to April 19, the plan is to use the via azul to get and stay some days in Cienfuegos, Camagey and Holguin, and then go back to Habana, does any one recommends to get to Santiago? I mean thinking on the time I have.

If anybody is interested in sharing a car (and the expenses) on these dates, a travel mate would be cool.
