Personally, my "advice" was for one person and for one night. I do think SD is far and complicated, especially at night for a new arrival after a long flight. So my only logic was the proximity and the relative ease on Main Street in Boca Chica.

Indeed that's why I chimed in. I agree with your advice. Especially if you're coming in after 5 o'clock. Boca Chica is approximately 12 to 15 minutes away from the airport depending on traffic. Once you get to your hotel everything is basically within walking distance or a moto Concho 50 peso ride is on every corner.

If you arrive late you can go to your motel, walk outside and ask a motor scooter to take you to Paco drinks #1. That Casa slows down about 1 o'clock in the morning. Take you about 3000 to 4000 pesos (which is a gringo tax) and pick you a chica for a few hours to start your vacation before you head out to the Su the next day. Or spend about 4000 to 5000 pesos (gringo tax) and have the chica with you until the next day Before you leave. She would love to get away to go out and be in your company for a day. Don't bother with the SW in Boca Chica you have plenty of time for them in the Su.

Santo Domingo on the other hand, will take you about 30 to 45 minutes to get to your hotel from the airport. That's if traffic is normal. There may be no action near your hotel depending on your location. As big as the city is There is no major mongering spot for tourists. Most of the Casas in the capital are either overpriced and / or overrated.

Sub's shokka option would be the better choice for a short time in the capital.

I was in Boca chica twice within the past year, a little weekend getaway from the Capital and the outlook was very disappointing.

I heard lot of good reviews about Boca chica but it must have been in the past. Unless someone else can share their hindsight about their recent experiences in this part of town.

I believe you are "the" Boca Chica veteran par excellence and so thanks, for chiming in. I loved the word used "smorgasbord".

I have not been to BC in the last five years, perhaps longer. It was easy, with the main street and the park. The Italian restaurants were of very good quality and at night they would block motor traffic so it was kind of a European dining experience, on the main street. I actually did my pickings in the town close by, whose name eludes me now. Of course, one has to avoid the various desperados on main street: hazards of the game. Thanks to the internet, now they come directly to my place having been vetted.

Having said that, the only time I was pick pocketed was in BC, day time too! I had very little money in my back pocket and two girls did the trick, one from front and the other from the back. Old trick and I discovered it when I went to pay for my restaurant. I thought I knew all about those but when the dick gets in the way of lucid thinking this is what happens. I brought in the cops but by then the birds had flown.

BC can be disappointing if you're coming from the north coast or there by yourself for the first time. Most people go directly to the strip for action. That jungle is well known for the wolves (touts) hyenas (pro SW) and wild dogs (Haitians) that infest the area. They can either help you or try to eat you depending on how you deal with them.

Many people go there because that's all they know. It's also easy to navigate. One side there's a beach with restaurants during the day and at night the strip comes alive with a few small restaurants and bars open. It takes about five minutes to walk through the whole scene. From one end of the strip to the other.

Most of the guys who have Nice chicas in their presents did not meet the chica off the strip. However they will bring the chicas to the strip because of the ambience. Which says a lot about the chica you're with.

There are a few independent chicas (Mostly Haitian and hard-core Dominicanas) walking the strip looking for available tourists.

It could be a little frustrating if you have a particular taste or type of chica in mind.

In order to make the most out of BC you have to adapt quickly. Ex-pats, season vets, well prepared newbies, as well as Lucky Gringos learn to adjust to the Scenery to get the most out of their vacation.

Utilizing the Casas, Beach area, supermarkets, and small boroughs you soon seeing there's a smorgasbord of opportunity of available p4 p.

If you only stand in only one waterhole you're only waiting for scraps from the other animal kills. The more you stand around looking hungry, to more you interest the attention of the wolf, hyena, wild dogs and others . (Las hienas tiene que comer) The hyenas have to eat. And they know we are no Lions.

Is yours something of a faux pas, because of translation or is it that you visit the DR for "white" beauties there? I know for a fact, that the "dark" ones are particularly sought after by the French Canadians as well as the Brits and Germans, and by that I mean the white males, in Sosua.

There were handful of women and what I meant by "dark women" was my interpretation of the locals from Boca chica that were also little older than usual. There weren't any younger dark beauties or any chics from the Capital district coming there and there was not much selection even between the locals because it seemed like the nightlife action has been deserted from Boca chica.

Don't waste your time in Boca Chica. There's nothing there anymore maybe a handful of dark women. The nighlife is almost deserted past few months. Boca Chica is not good anymore.

There was a good suggestion earlier by someone. Stay at Boca Chica. If you check the map, you will find it is just a stone's throw from the airport, an uber may cost $5 dollars. Hotel in Boca Chica may cost $40 bucks, perhaps less in these times. Plenty of women on the main street who will take care of you also plenty of good restaurants within a small stretch and then next morning, you can plan your trip to Sosua by Bus, arriving at a decent hour. Read the Boca Chica forum.

As they say you can lead a horse to water. It makes no sence to call a cab for a four hour ride at nght. You will need a room when you get to Sosua as well. Take your time and enjoy the ride. The girls will be there and much fun can be had in Santo Domingo. The Boca Chica option is an excellent suggestion. At the end of the day it is your time and money.

Staying with al local would be nice but I think I will be exhausted because of the long travel from Europe.

Trying to get to sosua that late makes no sense. Book an airbnb. Good chance you can hook up with a local for the night. Cab to sosua would cost 150 plus. It is 4 hours and T night dangerous. Santo domingo can be a good time if you speak little Spanish. If not give me a pm. I can give you some layup moves.

My first trip to Sosua (and Dom Rep). 8.27.2020 - 9.13.2020.

I will arrive in Santo Domingo in the Evening 7 pm, so need to take a Taxi to go to Sosua.
