Hey everybody,

I arrived on Wednesday, haven't been hit by a car yet, and will be here for a month.

Staying at Las Torres in Zona 10, it's not much to write home about but it's fine by me.

I'm planning on taking a side trips to El Salvador and Honduras for a couple of days in each place.

I'd sure like to meet some fellow hobbyist so if anybody wants to get together let me know. I got a cell phone so PM me.

Got this great deal from lax with spirit air for $92.00 RT so I had to try it. Ill will be going to Guat. city from Sept 18 to 24. have been reading alot of posts .Any one down there want to meet for a drink and do some mongering. I am staying at the Marriott.

Some questions.

1. It looks like it will be raining most of the week what is the best thing to do in the rain? early clubs?

2. I am interstest in more long time with chicas what is the best way to go about that. places cost etc.

3. I am 50 but dont look it but after some mongering and drinks the blue pill can extend the fun Can you buy Viagra easy down there? like in Mexico.

4. Since I am at the Marriott are there any close places or should I just get a cab or both.

I'm planning a visit to Guatemala City but due to some issues I need a hotel close to zona 11 somebody told about a hotel near, said it was close to Pacific Center and there was another close to Galerias del Sur but i need the names of the hotels to make the resevations in advanced, and also if there any girl action close to zona 11

When I returned I stayed at Las Torres Apartamentos, which is directly across the street from the Holiday Inn and cost $30 a night. It is definitely chica friendly, but it sounds like you are looking for something more upscale.

Others who stayed at the Holiday Inn told me it cost around $95 a night, but one friend mentioned that he bargained $10 off the price.

I will be surprised if you find anyone. When I lived there last year I did not know anyone else who was a regular on this board. Except for the occasional itinerant visitor who I would host, I never ran across a gringo while out mongering.

I can't help much on hotels, since I had my own place. When I returned I stayed at Las Torres Apartamentos, which is directly across the street from the Holiday Inn and cost $30 a night. It is definitely chica friendly, but it sounds like you are looking for something more upscale.

Fantasy stayed there and took several chicas up without paying a guest fee. I think he made friends with the manager and started with a nice tip to the night doorman, so they treated him very well.
