I have been to various parts of Netherlands over the years and had some great experiences in some "privehuizen". Nice ladies, generally, and very up front on what is available and you get what you ask for.

Far better than the windows.

I will be traveling to Europe the week of 10/18 - 10/24 from Korea where I've lived, taken pelts and counted coup for the past nearly 20 years. I am excited at the prospect of a change in my usual diet of "sushi". I'm especially interested in trying on one of the sauna clubs/FKKs so I can get my fill of European "cuisine". I will be staying in Leiden, though, where, unfortunately, I also will be very busy.

So anyway I was supposed to be visiting Amsterdam for a few days with friends who had been there before. However, one by one, they have pulled out. They had been before and knew their way around. I have never been and am ready to chicken out. I still want to go but have no idea where to start.

I did most of my exploration solo in the last decade around the Netherlands and Belgium. The RLD in Amsterdam is reduced to a tourist attraction or for rich uninformed punters. Not recommended. There are two other RLD's that cater mostly to local and a nice choice of Latino and Eastern European beauties. Find out about those by reading the board.

What I would suggest is do your window shopping around the Wallen, then spring for a fast trein to Den Haag and get off at the Holland Spoor. Walk our of the station and turn right. Follow till you find the Geleenstraat, then frequent your choice there for about 40 euro for the usual.

If you dont get your fill, then trek over to Doublestraat. Pedestrian maps are all over. Read the board for more specific information. Choices are more and it's lighter on the pocketbook. You are safer in Den Haag for a newby.
