I shall be travelling to Timosora soon. As I live in Malta, I would like to know where I can meet some Maltese people (men or women) in this town. I would love to meet Maltese and Romanians who like Maltese. I like teaching, parties, night clubs, girls and good restaurants. Any information wellcome and will be appreciated. Posts: 16Baneasi-Aviatiei
I will be travelling to Bucharest in May and will be staying at a Hotel in Banaesi-Aviatiei for a couple of nights. I understand this area is close to central Bucharest and is an office/residential suburb.
Does anyone have the good oil on hotels such as the Stil Hotel in regards to the availability of women in and around this hotel or the surrounding area. Does anyone know of any apartments with women nearby or discos for amateur action?

Posts: 66I have been in Bucarest and Sinaia for Christmas and New Years two times. Both times I had company pre-arranged, but I can tell you I still had a wonderful time. Each holiday, we started out with a nice dinner at a traditional restaraunt, then in talking to others who were also there to celebrate, we would end up party hoping with our new friends. Never having been to Moscow, I cannot compare the two, but I would easily go back to Romania for the holidays again.
I've also been to Slanic in the spring, and I can only imagine how nice it is there in the winter.
And like Felix said, watch out for the fireworks!

Posts: 255Yeah, I have been in Bucharest for new Year and it was wild and crazy! Better watch out for those fire works!! They shoot them in all directions! I actully got hit by one in the side while partying at the revolution square with one ex girlfriend and her friends. People drinking lots of spumante and it seems to be the rule to smash them on the streets afterwards! making it look like the day after the revolution.....
I can tell about chasing skirt since I had company already.
May you choose wisely!
Cheers and happy hunting!

Posts: 703I have a dilemma to find a solution before December 1.
One of my friend, who owns a casino invited me to Romania. This will be my first time.
But I was planning to go to Moscow for the X-MAS and 10 days long New Year holiday. I was in Moscow in 2005 New Year. And this year, we are planning to throw a wilder party with my blood brother .
On the other hand, I have never been to Romania but my girlfriend has been there several times and speaks fluent Romanian (together with other 4 languages).
Has anyone been to Romania during the New Year? If you need to make a decision, which one do you prefer? Moscow or ski resort in Romania???

Posts: 97"Impossible to find any decent information?".
Of course it's nearly impossible for you to find decent information, especially if you don't bother to actually read the information people give you!
Hint: Moldova - Travel Plans & Announcements.
My info is accurate as of 31st of May 2006.
Bon voyage!

Posts: 64Getting to Chisinau from Bucharest.
OK...so I've got everything all lined up, from my plane to Otopeni to my accomodations in Bucharest, Chisinau, and Balti.....but one thing has eluded me, how the hell do I get from Bucharest to Chisinau? I'd like to go by train, since I haven't been on a train in the longest time. (but if a bus is easier, tell me) That being said, I've done some research and found that it is (at least for me) nearly impossible to find decent information about the train, its numbers, its prices...ANYTHING! Can any of you guys help me out?
Also, I've read that it is difficult to use AMEX traveler's cheques. Can anyone else verify this and/or offer a solution to cashing them, which doesn't involve paying a substantial processing fee?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Alexios,
The best thing to do is to rent an apartment downtown. Just run a search on Google "apartments in Bucharest." I will be going next week and I rented a small studio for 40 Euro. PM me if you have questions.

The best hotel I can recommend for about the same price is the Ibis Gara De Nord. Better make reservations beforehand.
