My experience (YMMV) of PRC has shown that in most cases thay keep their own passports and renew the visas. Many return home for a vacation and return, I have know a few girls that have flown home on short notice because of family crises back home.

This is not to say there is not explotation, and I have herd rumours of increasing Chinese "mafia" involvment and would be suspect AMPs.

In some cases I know the girls were aware of what they were coming to do, in another girl was employed selling fake goods, DVD's etc. door to door and decided to change occupation (her choice, to make more money), I think this type of thing is common. A lot of girls are offered job that turn out to be really shitty and pay is far below expectations, they start moonlighting around the clubs, then become full time.

I have heard of few cases major debt bondage that is common with CIS.

Speaking of CIS only, almost without exception they surrender their passports often never to be seen again. They keep a copy of the original visa and passport, which is of course invalid after 3 months so then they just keep the passport copy with them as the hotels rarely inspect the visa.

Many of the girls effectively live in an open prison with the added fear of being picked up by the LE and thrown into a real prison - one once said to me at least you get three meals a day in Sharjah womens prison! Hence the alchohol abuse and attitude often commented on in this forum.

Just enjoy the mongering and the false comfort of Dubai, if you scratch the surface its just as squalid as any other city that tolerates the sex trade - if not more so.

Seems to me that restricting visit visa renewals would affect the genuine freelancers more than the real victims of trafficking. The pimps and other lowlife won't give a monkeys that the visa has expired, in fact it even plays into their hand by making the victim even more afraid to go the LE.

MyKapitan: Who sponsors the WGs to come into the country? Individuals or agencies (sex industry businesses)?

    Visit Visas

This visa is issued for people who are sponsored by a company operating in the UAE. It is valid for two months from the date of arrival, with the option of being renewed for one more month.

    Documents required:

    Photocopy of the visitor's passport
Visit Visa Application form, completed and signed by the sponsoring company.
Photocopy of the trade license of the company
A Guarantee letter from the company stating its responsibility of the visitor during his visit.

The DNRD renews the Visit Visa at its expiry date if the sponsor so decides. Renewals can be made by exiting and re-entering the country to gain an exit stamp and a new entry stamp on the passport or by paying the extension fee of Dhs 500 (US $ 137) at the DNRD.If you overstay your visit visa, there's a ten day grace period in which to leave the country. After that period, each day overstayed will attract a fine of Dhs. 100 (US $ 28).

Most of the WGs overstay and build up a massive debt (in relative terms) in overstay charges. Normally if it is a long overstay this can be negotiated in the courts. I know as I have done it on behalf of a WG I once knew.

The lesson here is make no assumptions with the authorites - they have the upper hand. Use an arabic speaker to act on your behalf in the DNRD, I have done it myself - but believe me its not worth the hassle.

Well difficult to say, but seemingly you might be right (unfortunaltely). Suppliers cost increase and they will try to compensate by increase in selling rate, however there should be a market mechanism capping to much increase. Finally it might be a less profitable business at DXB or the UAE and the "caravan" will move to - what they call - "better destinations".

However I do believe the impact of prosperiity in the respective home countries will effect supply much more on the long term, but for the foreseable future I would guess everything remains more or less the same.

BTW I refered to the medical issue, here some more oil into the fire:

Sex dangerous for women in Dubai
United Arab Emirates: Monday, January 28 - 2008 at 11:36
Almost 650 cases of sexually-transmitted diseases were reported in the emirate in the span of 16 months, mostly among young women who caught it from their husbands, reported Gulf News. From May 2006 to September 2007, 647 cases were seen at Al Badaa Health Centre, which is where the government-run sexually-transmitted disease (STD) clinic is located. STD cases have also almost doubled in the four-year period between 2000 and 2003, comprising 3.64 per cent of overall medical cases in 2000 to 5.15 per cent in 2003, the latest analysis available.

So piece by piece a puzzle completes....

I'm out of the country just now in Costa Rica, its a shithole, I can't wait to get back to DXB, may be more expensive but worth it many times over. Anyway, when I get back home I'll check what the stamo is in her passport and post the info.

    Rattlesnake

    Rattlesnake, Monday, 10:00 - 10:05 NO typo
Had called a 'Snake a-lister, Miss Canary, thinking I had a pretty good shot: not chinese new year yet, and mid-week, business might be down. Bless her honesty: she couldn't guarantee LT as a preferred client might call around 12. Fair enough. A lot of girls would have agreed, and if the preferred client did call, bailed out, turning the agreed LT to short. After all, with me, it's not like she's going to alienate a frequent customer (ah, if only I could be in THAT income category...)

Called Miss HSSH, but she too was busy (had been earlier this week too). Yes, she is one of those that's worth a long weekend together...

So, 'Snake it was. 50 dhs entrance, walked to the bar to get a drink. Not much of a PRC entrance gauntlet; 3 or 4 africans at the bar, along with a couple CIS. While waiting - service is SLOW, turned around to take a look at who WAS there.

Number of a-lister and first chorus faces missing, but it was early. However, the other a-lister I'd called last week, who was on her monthly vacation, WAS there. Short vacation, good to go now. ST worked for both of us. Why hang around - drinks cheaper at my place, better entertainment, and I knew I couldn't do better. Not cheap: 500, but it was a fun 2 hours. Not a GFE by any means, but certainly quality business.

Downside? Paid a 50 dhs "stupidity" tax: should have called her to see what was up before heading out. Well, 'Snake won that one.

Lesson learned: if you have someone in mind, give her a call first - might save at least YOU an entrance fee, and, if she's going LT, also her. That's more money in her pocket (for LT, anyway).

Found out some interesting tidbits: SOME bars not only charge a girl a nightly entrance fee, but ALSO require a monthly payment for the "privilege" of conducting business there. 2000/month at an upperclass bar.

Advantages/disadvantage: a PRC working at a non-prc bar has less competition, but also fewer potential customers. Customers who are interested in chinese will head for the "known chinese" bars...

As I posted earlier, Rattlesnake, Metropolitian Hotel, Sheik Zayed Road (for newbies), has some quality chinese, and there were some very attractive africans there (if that's your thing). Bit thin on CIS and -Stanis, but that might change past my bedtime, and there have been reports of a few CIS stunners there. Certainly worth a trip out from the Golden Triangle at least once. 50 dhs entrance fee equally applied.

I agree with you, Tom. The one thing the UAE, and especially dxb, hates the most is BAD publicity. They at least have to APPEAR to be doing something MORE...

Tom, thanks for your explanation. Although I was aware of the trafficking issue I hadn't put 2 and 2 together. We are currently aware of one girl now three days in waiting for a visa, and one last week 6 days waiting. Already getting stories of girls tired out waiting, bad sleep and hence tired out trying to work in following days, then with period, some girls are suggesting they are losing the best part of two weeks each month!

Re the 3 month visa when does it need changing? Are we saying if I buy one today in practice I get almost three months before renewal without problems or two?

I may be wrong but I understand 3 month visas aren't so easy to obtain and the sponsoring company are more liable for any problems with those they are sponsoring. Consequently they are reluctant to issue them to WG's?

    My first flip

Since this weekends escapades I still couldn't let go of the idea being with a philippina. I just had to close that chapter (or open it, depending on how you see it.)

    Down to action.

    Sunday 3/2

    Ratskys, Karama Hotel

Arrived about 10:00pm. Place was nearly empty, some locals throwing a birthdayparty and drinking (what's up with ordering all these boxes of cakes when you're only a party of three? )

Band was on. Got eye contact with one of the girls in the band, first she seemed dismissive, then played the "ignore her" game for a while, once our eyes met up again we exchanged some smiles. Cute.

Around 11:30 it was time to seal. Walked up to the bar where there where only two WGs present. Now these where pure philippina judging by the cute faces and accent.

ST deal bargained down to 600 from 800 DHS including ride back to the club or back home. Although she wanted to bring in her friend, I settled for her only being a work week and ST-deal.

    Back to my place.

She was a bit tense at first, and I had to do a lot of talking to break ice and gain trust. One could tell she had gone through trouble by some punter by looking at her physical appearance. After the first laugh came it was all good and we started foreplay.

Service was good, but no BJs. Soft kissing and tenderness making it a very real like GFE.

After that drove her back to her place.

Now I'm considering dropping the 8+PRC I had planned for the weekend. PRC experience from before was also good, but lacked this certain smoothness I got to experience now, not to mention the facial expressions and noises this girl made which was a huge turn-on.

Will be back mongering Ratskys on Thursday to see if I can pick her up again for LT.

Conclusion, I'm totally sold on the Philippina experience, there's no turning back now.

    Be careful out there...
Another option to consider if having caught a "non fatal" STD, eg. Chlamydia is to buy the drugs in a Pharmacy and do self treatment. There are good antibiotics out there, eg. Doxycyklin, Azitromycin, etc. Info on dosage is all over the net.
