Greetings fellow mongers. Recently arrived in Dubai. Access to this site is restricted from my hotel so I'm using Tor to help bypass the security (thank you for the recommendation).

I'm staying at the Radisson Blu. They have two places downstairts. One is Marbles and the other is Ku-bu. It was a long flight for me and close to midnight by the time I got in and unpacked but since I was wide awake I decided to venture downstairs and check out the action (this was on a Friday night).

Marebles had this Filipino band playing. Music was ok but nothing great. The 3 (or 4) female singers were cute enough. This bar is really small and there were a couple of cute girls hanging around the bar. I then ventured to Ku-bu. This place was very loud and very packed. I keep forgetting how places out here allow smoking in bars. So a nice mix of Filipinos, and CIS walking around. Some looked cute but when you got up close you can see that they had been around for a while (lots of makeup). I saw this really nice African woman too.

I was tired and not really in the mood to party. I did see a few "couples" walk out but I did not stay enough to try to see how much it would cost me.

One thing about the Radisson. I'm not sure if it is GF friendly. You need a room card to go upstairs and there is always a guy standing by the elevators.

So couple of days ago I was walking home and was handed a visiting card of a Bur Dubai AMP. This establishment is located on Bank Street in the same building as a supermarket whose last 4 letters are a common female name that means Princess in Hebrew.

I ask her the price, number of girls working etc. Then, I ask the lady whether I need a appointment or I can just show up. It seems that she didnt quite understand me. Can anyone who has been to this place confirm whether it is a "genuine" MP or are extras offered?

No need to be discreet: this is an ostensibly legitimate enterprise that is openly advertising. As such you should expect no extras, and be pleasantly surprised if a hand shandy is offered.

You mean the building containing the Apsara Supermarket, close to the 4 Points Sheraton. This has 2 massage joints: Thai Elite and Golden Beach. Golden Beach was formerly called Lutfi's and is completely legit. You get a good massage at a good price from a Thai or Chinese lady. No extras whatsoever.

No information on Thai Elite, other than the cost is dh150 per hour. There was a queue when the Shooter visited, so he popped upstairs to the Golden Beach instead.

Actually the girl wants to go back to her country. The boss was asking her to pay 8000 Dhirams. she also has the video which she shot from her mobile while arguing with her boss. (i have seen the video myself as the memory chip was with my friend). She dont have money to pay as she was transfering it all to her family.

She is the one who actually approached the court via Thailand Embassy. She claimed that she is remained unpaid for the period she worked and forced to sign the pay slip. Now she wants to go back to her country and boss is demanding the cash. There are 4 girls who ran away (3 from Shiekh Zayed and 1 from Karama). so actually there are 4 cases in the labor court against the same establishement.

The money she transferred during this period to her family is purely Tips and money collected from customers against the extra services and not the salary.

Hope this clarify the picture well.

His getting her to sign payslips under duress could be an issue as there is no proof that he did not pay her other than her word against his.

If she can prove he has not paid her in months, then the labour court will side with her and he will be made to pay her dues and also pay for her ticket back home. (Perhaps there is something on the phone video that can prove this?)

This explains the threat of the sex-video. He is simply trying to get her to back off quietly and drop any charges.

Desperate move, and probably just a bluff as French Canadia says.

If its any consolation, the LE in Dubai are pretty decent and are not naive about these establishments and will not buy this guys story especially since there are other cases against him.

Going back to your friend... he should stay out of this and not get directly involved.
IF he wants to help, he can give her financial support during this whole mess. That is the only thing he can really do short of hiring a lawyer for her. (NOT cheap... and won't really help much)

Worst thing that can happen is she gets nothing and he cancels her visa with a 1 year ban if the labor court decides in his favor. The employer will still need to buy her her ticket home.

a bit off topic here but kind of relevant...
a new massage parlor opened below my building sometime in november/ december.

i found it odd because there already was a pretty successful thai parlor also in the same building.

seemed like a legit place and looked to be all filipina staff there.

it is now shut and closed for business. not vacated... just shut.
its been like that for a month already.

my gf is friends with the girls that work in the hair salon next door and they told her the place was raided and all staff were arrested.

the receptionist from the massage parlor was on her day off when the raid happened so was not rounded up. she said that they were knowingly running a fs parlor. the owner denied any knowledge of this and claimed the girls were moonlighting on their own.

apparently cid were watching the place and sent guys in and they were offered more than just regular "therapeutic" services.

there is an ongoing case and the business will remain shut until it is resolved.

i believe if the boss in your story was filming the girls he would be under suspicion as well and most likely the cops would shut him down whilst under investigation.

i highly doubt he would be foolish enough to use that video in court.

and the runaway girl... i assume he has her passport?
he does not need to show any video, and can terminate her for absconding following which she will be deported.
(easiest way to resolve this, unless there is more to the story of course.)

if she stays a runaway, she will not be able to leave the country easily. her best bet is to go to her embassy and tell them she was forced into it by her employer and he is now threatening her.

again, she will probably be deported, and if no one believes her story might get a lifetime ban.

your friend should not get too involved and ought to keep a low profile till this blows over. it also depends how well the girl, the other staff and owner know him and if they have a lot of information on him. (full name, mobile no. etc.)

unless he is very close to these people, and is trying to play savior to the runaway girl, i don't think he needs to worry.

MKH, I don't think the employer will go to the labour court, he would be worste off than the girl. Operating knowingly( because of the camera) a house/location for the sex trade . The girl could get off more easily simply by saying she was forced/tricked into it.

Worse case scenario he does go to court, your friend is asked/taken to be a witness, then charged with having sex with a woman that is not his wife. but don't think it would that far, my opinion

Actually didn't wanted to bother writing a report on "my experience" but hey you gave some useful information which came handy. So thats the least I can do.

And it is appreciated. It's obvious you did your research by reading others' experiences, asked some questions (seems Steamer provided some great advice), came and experienced, then reported on what happened. Too many seem to ask questions, then ... nothing...

Even if it's a "standard" report, still valuable, as it provides "recent" info, confirmation of the status quo, if nothing else.

Dnt want to even tell what happened. It was just bad and lost 200 for 5 minutes LOL my little buddy just didn't wanted to come up.

And reports like yours, the "lessons learned", even MORE valuable. Yes, mistakes were made, but the worse mistake is not allowing others to learn from yours. We've all made them, even experienced players, becoming overconfident till the snake bites. My thoughts? "Only 200 - you were lucky, cheap price for a lesson learned. I've certainly paid more for my "education"". Plus, you get a funny story to tell, funny as time wears on, that is. Some of my best stories are from "lessons learned".

So nevermind that. ...All in all it was an amazing night!
