Of course, we all understood that having guests should become easier. My point is that the decision no matter what is not coherent and seems random as you say. What I meant is that Sharjah is probably the most conservative Emirate and we know why. It's one thing to leave with your girl friend, but screwing her in a parking lot is something different. As cases are not published there is no reference to case precedents as happens in common law systems. You can add to that understanding of the situation of the hotel, the police etc. Furthermore, they might treat differently a traveler who spends who week with his so and one that register one or two different guests everyday. Let's keep monitoring the situation.

Defending the couple, Emirati lawyer Salim bin Sahoo filed an appeal requesting his clients be acquitted.

He told the court that his clients are being prosecuted for an act that no longer is considered a crime based on the changes made to the UAE laws last year.

Following his argument, the appellate court acquitted both the defendants on January 10 this year.

The appellate court said that the charge raised against the defendants doesn't hold ground as per the amended law and according to the federal decree number 15, which was published in the official gazette last September.

Wow its great if this rule has been changed now, now people can feel more free to go.

That's what I do or got to a spa for a rub and tug or a BBJ and always the mask on. I even did Moroccan bath with the mask a few weeks back. The lady found it weird but I don't care. I intend to get the jab once the wait list clears a bit. Meanwhile, I reduce my activity or just visited some trusted providers. But I am displeased with the recent laxity that companies are taking with the vaccine. I see less and less places checking temperature or taking measures for social distancing. We are in the final stretch, so with a bit of patience we'll be out of the woods so I am not taking chance. Not now after so long.

What precautions have you seen MPs and ladies take? I'm picturing doggie style with a mask on. LOL! Maybe try BJ through a mask?

Even I was super careful, but yeah the way COVID is spreading is crazy. In my office 23 folks caught it, and I too got caught up. Recovered recently and got a -ve report now.

So now that I have anti-bodies in my system, I cannot take vaccine for sometime. Doc said there's some natural immunity. But still, I am more careful than before.

It's true, that there could be many different strains out there so you all better get yourself vaccinated quickly. As for the reporting, I have seen the numbers rise so suddenly here, so I don't feel the Govt is hiding anything, rather they have been quite open with the increase. And medical facilities are also good. I really appreciated the call I got from DHA to check on me.

Anyway, I will start after I have regained my strength, till then I will be only reading and responding to reports here.

Only God knows what the real numbers are, but I find it hard to believe that a tiny country like Israel and Qatar can have thousands of more cases than the UAE, it just doesn't make sense. Plus, the UAE does not give a breakdown of their cases per Emirate. Even the Israeli's blamed Dubai for the rise in their cases once their tourists returned from Dubai. 3 to 4 K cases max / day in a country like UAE which has so many blue collar workers (where 8-10 people cramped into 1 room is common) and WGs just seems hard to believe. Anyways, yeah stay safe. I think it will be safer to punt in the coming weeks and months once more people get vaccinated. The UAE is supposedly second after Israel in terms of vaccinating the people so I reckon they should start seeing results in a few weeks just like Israel is.

Sorry to know that you got caught up with Covid but recently so many of my friends got it. We have closed our office for one week due to 12 guys getting positive. Good to know you have recovered and wish you good health. You have antibodies now so next 2-3 months are safe for you. I also suggest people to get vaccinated which will reduce risk when we visit girls. In my case I don't get hard if I do not kiss the girl, that is last thing you do when Covid is rampant in town. I took few chances and survived. Finally got vaccinated. Advantage being a senior. LOL.

I've been to Dubai 3 X since Covid started and they re-opened from July 2020 onwards. With regards to precautions, I don't know if I've been careful, reckless or in between. I'm always wearing a mask when outside my room, keep myself clean and use hand sanitizer / wash my hands frequently.

You'll have to wear a mask whenever you're outside your room in general, there were temperature checks everywhere late last year although that seems to have cooled off during my last trip last month. In clubs / bars, once you're in, there are no masks needed and you can interact with others. I must've been with at least 15 different girls over 3 trips, most of which included DFK to BBBJ to FS etc.

I have taken 8 covid tests so far, all negative. Some clubs and MP's still do temperature checks although not like last year, which I find odd since they have 3 x the cases now.
