Short Trip.

Last week, arrived in DXB for a short trip. Since I was a bit tired after checking into my hotel at around 11, was not In a mood to check out various clubs around the golden triangle and thought Regal would be my one stop solution. My experience in Regal has been better than the other clubs so off to Regal at around 12. Entry fee of AED 150 paid, I entered expecting to find a crowded place. But to my surprise, it was less crowded for a Thursday night and felt that it had more females than punters. At least to the left of the entrance where I checked, I found quite easy to walk around. Wanted to check the place first and found that there were more MILFs around. Walked up to the end on the opposite side of the bar and a full figured girl caught my attention. Entered Jockeys Wednesday night. Entrance was 75 Dhm with one drink included. Lots going on, probably a 60/40 ratio F / M.

This is unusual. LE will not come randomly in Residential area especially in locations like Business Bay. There is a possibility that they have come to your building because they must have some information on WG activity nearby. Or this is a scam by some locals acting as fake LE. When you are with a WG you are afraid to ask their I'd hence the fake LE take advantage and get free sex with the scared WG. Only hope and pray that she did not get brutal treatment. You must go to Ratsky and check with her friends if she is alright.

If LE started hanging around Residential areas then no WG is safe.

It happens. Even in Marina, and funnily I have heard about the guy being taken and the girl being left. He was drunk and "Amurican" and somehow did nto manage the CID well, the girl (Russian) simply sneaked. The CID actually told her "better go now"

That had the potential to be a career ending situation.

The problem is that the OP had some drinks, even after one beer you are in a losing position.

There are good reasons why I never drink any alcohol when picking girls.

Me, I never bluff with LE, nor see who will blink first. Being polite, respectful, I've literally said,"Yes, sir, but could I please see your ID?" When shown, it's "Thank you; here's mine." I just want to make sure I'm being questioned by legit LE.

I've actually called 999 and found them to be very nice, and after a couple of transfers, with sufficient English to explain. And, if you call, then hang up before they answer, at least for me, they actually called back and asked if I needed help.

I certainly agree it helps to be on good terms with your building's staff. My solution, as I've posted before, was an Eid envelope with a couple of hundred dirhams inside. Lets you be a resident they want to keep around.

For the record, I am white caucasian but the "large development" where I live has a mix of nationalities and, I think, some potential for illegal activities such as illegal immigrants working. After reflection, I put it down as bad luck and think they were legit CID (heard something like police radio noise coming from the car) but probably there on other business. The wg I was with was a little wild and not discrete which may have prompted their intervention as too obvious (anyway white guy with fili girl past midnight.)

Random checks in western expat areas not the norm. A "mixed" Caucasian / Asian couple will draw fewer glances from "authority" than say, an Indian / Asian couple. After all, she could very well be your wife. Or daughter.

Just goes to show the importance of BOTH parties being DISCREET when out in public, no matter how close to home.

You always have to keep in mind your neighborhood and its past "history": any wild parties or frequent comings and goings that might upset a "civilian" neighbor? Could be legit, CID looking for maid trafficking, but could also be a local civilian looking for a party guest. I lean towards the latter, given the "get lost before I change my mind attitude", but this is dxb, and authority's attitude IS dependent on YOUR skin color. After all, what had you (plural) done up to then? It's UAE, not KSA; close proximity does not count.

• As he's checking your ID, pull out a pen, scrap of paper, and note his license plate (same as I do when I put a girl in a taxi, noting the taxi number so the driver can see me do it). No explanation required, but a "I like to keep good records" sufficient if asked.

Fact of life in Dxb, authorities attitude towards you dependent on your skin color. But as long as you're POLITE and RESPECTFUL, they might be curt, but they aren't going to beat you. And my defense would be I was just trying to verify it was CID. Politely and respectfully explaining your concerns does help.

For clarity purposes, I am a straight guy from Indian decent and for privacy purposes would not like to do the 'activity' with someone of my origin.

Any similar experiences or heard similar stories? I didn't think LE would scout residential developments. It was not a comfortable experience and I will definitely be more careful in the future.

Great post. If I were you, I would ask the local man "with local dress standing by white tinted windows car" for an ID to make sure he is an LE. I was watching the news today and I saw a show talking about undercover police tracking Biz men who are trading female maid illegally. It was on Dubai one channel. You should play it safe next time. Take seperate taxi and meet the girl at the hotel. Yes it is coastly, but it is trouble free.

Had 2 crazy days in Dubai last week.
