newbies: obviously, one eyed man not a novice punter, but certainly new to dxb. sounds like he did his homework: read the forum so knew where to stay, where to go, what to expect, no inane questions, pleas... and was very successful, with the usual minor glitches (enjoyed the lap around tgit). brought back memories of when i first got here.

slow day at work, so...

i could deal with the heat, but i wish i had known about the humidity.

i have the feeling that i started my mongering activities much too late every evening, starting around midnight.

my experience: depends on the nationalities you are looking for. prc's arrive early, bless their mercenary soul; cis later. looking for cis before 11 at most any venue is a lost cause; prc's can be found even at 9:30 (e.g., at cyclone, a number of prc a-listers will be there before 10). jockey's the exception.

once i stayed at cyclone until the 3 a.m. closing time, and had to make a speedy choice. newbies (like me) take notice: 3 a.m. is closing time, and you’re generally out of luck if you haven’t made your choice by then.

some punters prefer the marked down prices at that hour. myself, i'll pay higher, pick and leave earlier, so lt really is lt with a girl selected during peak harvest time. besides, comparing drink prices in the bar to what you pay at the package store or arrival duty free, it's a wash as to cost savings.

it turns out that bur dubai is in fact very compact and that many good mongering locations are within walking distance.

it really is small. except during summer, even the astoria (tgit), admiral plaza, and seaview are not all that far. as far as city goes, only the cyclone is a taxi ride away. rattlesnake also a taxi ride. but don't necessarily expect to walk back with a "date"; taxi the norm.

i really didn’t like the girls grabbing onto you, and as soon as i got there, the cocktail waitresses started aggressively trying to take your order. i did like the bar on the ground floor, and a filipina band (called rock spider, i think) was doing pretty good heavy metal covers.

york: some things never change. hint for dealing with waitresses: ask her if she speaks english. she'll look puzzled, but reply "yes". then inform her that so do you, and if you want a drink, you'll ask for one.

tradeoff: the music box, ground floor, has the better band but less wg's than the upstairs bar. seaview combines both in one location.

the times i was there, though, the talent was low in quantity, and the girls were standoffish: i.e., you had to approach them. ... i located one table with some interesting cis girls, especially a tall one with asian features (who turned out to be from kazakhstan)

i'd say fairly common behavior with the cis: passive marketing, e.g., they stand there like produce, waiting for you to express an interest. prc's and africans will use an active marketing approach, cold calling potential clients. if i see an asian cis, safe bet she's kazakhstani or kyrgyzstani, though you can find the occasional uzbeki.

... but ended up accepting the offer from a korean provider with a pretty face. there was a bit of a misunderstanding from another korean who tagged along and wanted to be part of the action and had to be paid off to leave. ... i think the original price was 400, but since she had to pay off her friend with 100, i gave her another 200 or so since i had a good time.

not saying she wasn't part korean, but i'd bet the passport said prc.

always be skeptical of another girl just "tagging" along, even if pulled at closing (tgit afternoon, 4pm). if another girl joins you, make it very clear that you are taking only 1 girl - this with the tag-along ("sorry, i only take her" - pointing to 'your' girl) and with the original girl ("i only take 1 girl, you. no friend.") now, no reason for any "misunderstandings" and no reason for any extra payment. in the bar, or in the parking lot, your advantage; back at their home, their advantage. by accepting a girl tagging along, an interest may be inferred.

400 a bit high for a mid-afternoon st from tgit; 300 more in the ballpark; used to be 200. but i wouldn't break a sweat over 100, especially if you had fun. and i don't even know if a 200 is possible anymore - been a long time since i've pulled from there.

... so i went to jockeys at the panorama hotel. if i found the right place, it’s an english-style pub on the ground floor with several screens running various sporting events. it’s a very small place, and hence, there’s nowhere to run.

that's the right place. small is convient for meeting someone, especially for the first time. there is a resident wg contingent; other wg's use it as an assembly point, looking for an early st, before heading off to the main venues.

i then crossed the street and went to the bar rumours at the ramada hotel. i had to pay 50 dirhams cover (with one free drink), and when i arrived inside the bar, there was not much going on.

from what i've heard, entrance is free for hotel guests, but even then, with so many better places around, why bother? have never been there, and don't feel i've missed out on anything.

i spoke to one prc, who stayed firm at 800 dirhams, when i was offering 700. so, i went to her sister a couple of feet down, who offered to come me for whatever i wanted.

peak time, there does seem to be a 'floor' with at least some of the girls. having been bit awhile back by the "up to you", i'd exercise caution in that. i always like to get a firm agreement before leaving the bar. just my preference.

also, there were several people behind the bar, yet it was nearly impossible to get a drink.

ah yes, the rattlesnake. but at least the drink prices are cheap (relatively speaking). but nothing that would rate a journey out of the triangle unless you are bored/adventureous.

in hindsight, that was the opening bid, and i’m sure she didn’t understand what i had in mind.

then i went to seaview. ... i thought everybody here was having a good time, but not that many working girls, or everyone had already paired up. the space felt too confined, so i left ...

thursday night, everyone's night out, does get crowded in all venues. but in the seaview, the m/f ratio can be misleading. on the other hand, the crowded space does make it difficult to "scout". best times are when the band breaks, and the dj spins (11pm; 1am?); number of girls will get out and dance. most wg's will congregate along the bar, at the video games, the right/rear table, or right column when looking towards the band.

paid 700 for great sex but cbj and she made fun noises. i asked her to stay the night, and she said no way. i then asked for a second pop, and she asked for more money. i used my charms including oral on her and got her to go another time anyway, so i gave her another couple of hundred for her time. it’s amazing how quickly these russians can turn from wild animals in bed to cold, calculating mercenaries.

nothing like the wg "smile" that is instantly switched on/off.

call me pedestrian, but with a new girl, unless i am completely enamored of her, just wanting to experience her, i always agree to menu, # of shots (including specific mention of the morning wake-up), price, time of departure, when payment will be delivered. non spontaneous, but does eliminate a number of potential problems. even if you can't agree, at least you know what her position is, and can act accordingly - accept or move on.

...so i didn’t get to cyclone until about 1 a.m. again, i think i was there late, and the stocks were getting depleted.

what really hurts is having to pay the full entrance fee at that hour.

this girl also looked down on the prc's at cyclone and told me that they generally go for 100 to 300 dirhams per night.

yea, i wish. next time i'm there, and that prc a-lister quotes me a price of 1000, i'll have to respond that a cis told me it's 100-300 for 'them" (then duck). the cis do look down on the prc's everywhere, mainly because the prc's hold the prices down, but not to 100-300 lt, at least at cyclone (lol).

but reading the forum and the the reports of distinction can do a lot to eliminate that. just like your teacher said: doing your homework does pay dividends, and here, it is real money.

sounds like the one place that confused you is imperial. standing in front of the main entrance to the hotel, facing the entrance, to your left, 20 feet down, is a wooden door. entering, it's a hall with the security desk at the end. pay or not pay an entrance fee, few steps, can only turn left, then a quick right down a couple of steps to the main bar. other bars if you go straight instead of turning right.

the main bar can get crowded, especially with people who don't necessarily have the same sense of personal space as myself. also a lot have the last life boat leaving attitude.

and be very careful about pickpockets... when the bar's "ticker" message scrolls "we are not responsible for personal belongings"... you know they are trying to tell you something.

there is also a restaurant/bar in the same building. again, standing in front of the hotel entrance, facing hotel, to your right 30 feet down, is another wooden door. some girls, tired of the crowds in the main bar, will hang here. not a main venue, but sometimes can be worth sticking your head in.

Just got back from a two day sojourn in Dubai. I was staying at the Sheraton Deira which has become my favorite hotel now as it is really GF but its location is a real pain as the traffic in Deira is just ridiculous. Anyway my first evening I needed a quickie as I had to join some friends for dinner and I knew that after dinner and booze I would be absolutely exhausted to perform so I had about an hour's window in which to get a woman so who better to call than the infamous E's house. No real knowledge, but I'd be guessing you'd be fine UNLESS you turned up positive, at which time you'd be booted out of the country. Just don't think the patient/physician confidentiality idea exists here.

A pervert got more than he bargained for when two women he groped on a beach held him by his hair until security guards arrived. The two Algerian sisters were swimming on Al Mamzar beach in April when the 24-year-old Pakistani man came towards them, they said. According to the 27-year-old victim, LA, he began to swim very close to them so they moved to another area to get away from him.

When the man followed them they asked to be left alone, but he laughed and carried on, the Dubai Court of First Instance heard. They got out of the water and began getting changed when LA said she felt someone touching her buttocks. She turned around and saw the accused grinning at her.

Her and her sister grabbed the man by the hair and called for help. Nearby workers came and held the man until police arrived. He was jailed for six months for sexual harassment, and will be deported after serving his sentence.

Nice reports from One-Eyed Man and Disappointed - certainly keeping busy!

Last night I hit nearby Rattlesnake out of pure laziness - too jetlagged to handle the traffic to the Golden Triangle. My timing was terrible. Arrived just before 9pm, and no girls at all. I made a call to "One-Shot" who asked me to wait a few hours. Yeah right! I was nearly dropping off to sleep at the bar. Then I called the beautiful Arabesque Reem, but she was in her regular shop-job until 10pm, and I knew it would be at least 11 by the time she arrived. I thought I had done my homework, but it turns out there are two Metropolitan Hotels in the Bur Dubai/Deira area, and it took three tries to find the correct one on Sheikh Zayed Road. The mix was about 50-50 Africans and Asians, and space was tight in an L-shaped area between the bar, tables, and dance floor. One Asian was dancing up a storm when I was there. Also, there were several people behind the bar, yet it was nearly impossible to get a drink.

I spied one unusual-looking woman with dark, mid-length curly hair and olive skin, and she said she was from Kyrgyzstan . So the thing is, I hate to bargain—so I had this brilliant idea that I could get her to name her best, last price, and I would take it or leave it. Bad idea, and I’ve since seen the light. Anyway, I asked her for her best offer, and she said 1,000 (she said she had to pay rent and her manager, etc. etc.), so I turned and left the bar. During the day, in a failed attempt to be a tourist (I tried to see Burj-al-Arab but was turned away due to the lack of a reservation), I then had the cab driver take me to the Astoria Hotel, since it was close to the souks (open-air markets.) When I first entered TGIT, I was completely out numbered and shocked by the overwhelming majority of Asian providers whose eyes were all focused on me, and I quickly passed through and exited the bar, generating quite a few giggles from the girls. Later, when I had regained my composure, I entered again and made it to the bar and ordered a beer. I was immediately attacked by the Asians, managed to brush off most of them, but ended up accepting the offer from a Korean provider with a pretty face. There was a bit of a misunderstanding from another Korean who tagged along and wanted to be part of the action and had to be paid off to leave. We went to the girl’s apartment (in a normal residential area, across from a mosque!), which was close by the York hotel. There was some kind of break-dancing competition going on, and I went to the far end of the bar to watch. There were a couple of English of guys there who were a couple of African girls were pitching to, and when they realized they were getting nowhere, they started pitching me. One girl from Kenya was maybe a 7 in looks but had such as great attitude that I was tempted, but she went to the restroom and I was able to escape.

Wednesday.

Something like 75 dirhams cover (85 on weekends) with no drinks included. As has been written before, the CIS and PRCs occupy each end of the place, and at first, I was overwhelmed by the beauty. I ended up talking to a Turkish girl, who wasn’t exactly my type but which had a great personality, so I was tempted to take her home.

I spoke to one PRC, who stayed firm at 800 dirhams, when I was offering 700. So, I went to her sister a couple of feet down, who offered to come me for whatever I wanted. Not a kisser, and cbj, but a fun time and stayed the night. She became wild the next morning when she awoke and I already had a finger inside her, which led to another great round. two weeks ago, i stayed in bur dubai for five days and mongered 4x. i stayed at the four points, was very girl friendly, with only one hitch—one girl had to drop off a copy of her passport. no wonder they call it the "golden triangle," since the york, regal, and imperial suites are easily within walking distance (also the ramada and panorama), and maybe more depending on the weather. visited the york, regal, ramada, imperial, panorama, rattlesnake, tgit, and cyclone.

there are a lot of streetwalkers in the golden triangle area, mostly asians, that proposition you when you walk by, offering “massage.” some weren’t bad, but i didn’t partake. i saw them primarily in the parking lots, for example between york and jockeys and between the ramada inn and the regal.
