Hey I offered peace for territory, I mean peace for a new forum. This forum can not go like this, over two thirds of the forum are noise now, maybe more, Lets have the RoD, the forum for reports, the forum for questions and answers.

It is nto that it will cost a lot of effort to set a new forum.

I am afraid that this slugfest is not getting us anywhere. The whole purpose of this forum is getting diluted with these posts. Yes I agree we are a frustated lot after telling time and again about the importance of RTFF and reading through Reports of Distinction. I started new here but there was never a gang up against me because I read the posts for days before jumping in. Realised that there were noobs asking just questions and little contribution. I understood what to say and ask so you do not look stupid in this forum. Started posting my experiences in detail. Within no time all seniors became friends. This is the power of genuine detailed FR.

Now, Globeserve there is no harm in accepting that you jumped in too early. Why not take it positively, you have already few good posts. We all here are as busy people as you, working in responsible positions in our field. But we find time to contribute and, share whatever mongering activities we do. No one here are college going kids sitting on their laptops round the clock posting on their facebooks.

Let us continue the good work of posting FRs and stop filling up the pages with intention of saying a " last word"

This isn't really a FR. Because I didn't F. But I thought to share this anyhow.

For the sake of what is left of this forum, could we create a new forum for new people to ask their always original and unheard questions and keep this one for actual reports.

Seriously, I have no problem with people with no previous posts asking questions, I have no problem with people answering them (as long as they do not share a contact I passed them) I say that I have no problem in the same sense I have no problem with people nailing their balls to the table, as long as it is neither my table nor my balls I am fine. I will sell you the nails and rent you the hammer if I can.

Personally I rather have a forum with 5 (relevant) post per week than this shit we have now where finding anything relevant is like sex in Franco's Spain: more of a miracle than a sin.

Sure, we all like to drink. But some of us want to drop into the pub once-in-a-while. Not become one of the geezers who spends all their lonely evenings there drooling over the bar.

If people want to create a closed-club of a dozen-odd people who all know each other, think the same way and have time to post five hundred times a year, then an email group is whatthey need. Not a web forum. A forum becomes more useful if people with diverse opinions are made welcome.

To reiterate my clarification:

One, I did RTFF within the first few days of registering. And read it going back many months and a few hundred posts. Which is how I realized how tedious it was and how it may turn-off many people who'd otherwise like to participate. So my idea was NOT intended as a short-cut (I already have more contacts than I need) for ME, but as a possibly useful step for future noobs.

Two, I've not posted FR's on the 4 additional Dubai contacts that a few generous Seniors shared on PM, simply because I have been away from UAE on assignment since about 3 weeks and will be back only in February. Which highlights that not everyone is the same. Not everyone has the same time to experience and FR. But we should all try to make ISG as useful as possible.

Three, yes I would be glad to step-up and do whatever I can. But pretending to write a Summary Post after about a month in Dubai is not what I'm (yet) qualified for.

I trust this issue can now be laid to rest. Phew!

Had the pleasure of meeting up with two more stalwarts from the UAE threads. Misha and Joe Karnavic at the UHCD meeting recently in addition to Conso68.
