Let me start with an apology for not being an active contributor here. I have been following this site for years, but was kind of lazy to write up something. Nevertheless, this post might be useful for those who loves having shisha and don't mind having a quickie as well.

There is this place in Deira called "Furj Al Murar" having at least 200 shisha cafes lined up. Covering entire street. With 100 AED you can get one shisha and a private coffee session with Ethiopian beauties. If you need a nice HJ, that would be 100 more. But imagine yourself having a BJ while having shisha. I am here to give leads & won't be in a situation to tell you my story.

Many a time, when venturing in Freej Murar (keep away from it as it is close to Naif, seemingly one of the hotspots of the COVID in DXB) I have always thought that they were scams and rarely met Ethiopians willing to provide BBJ. Can anyone confirm these things exist? Once things get a bit normal might be a good sport to practice in lieu or even in addition to my regular spa sessions.

The conclusion is that you have to be careful, in other jurisdiction they would have disregarded the affair given a more important issue.

It also confirms that booking in the same hotel different rooms has its limits.

Hi I'm getting mixed reports some say dxb is closed untill July; or only outgoing flights are allowed.

Can anyone conform that in bound fligts are being allowed?

Yeah I was of the same opinion at your original post, and I also agree with your statement now about the likely downturn in Dubai also (let's hope we are both wrong on that too!

So a few months ago I wrote the post above. Well, I was definitely wrong. I didn't see this effect coming and I'm sure we can only underestimate the impact this will have on Dubai and the world.

I think expo will be postponed a year. And I think bars and hotels will suffer for the rest of 2020. It will take months before people will travel again. And once they start travel, will Dubai be on top of the list?

I think it will be dead for a long time. And not just in Dubai, but everywhere.

Tempting, but not worth the risk just now. I've offered some support to a current and an ex SB but abstaining until I've a better idea what's happening and I've a better idea of any possible health complications I may be at risk of.

No large gatherings. As long as you are happy with two friends at a time and already have their phone numbers, you are golden. .

I have a different opinion. There are like a billion Chinese, right? And only a few thousands are infected, right? I don't understand all the fuss. At least, yet. I think the media and us are overreacting. Visiting Dragon mart or Jules doesn't give any extra risk, I think.

Everything is shut down mate. It's odd though, they are taking all these measures now but they are a bit late with all these closures I think. I mean like 12 days ago, all bars, clubs, MP's etc were open and it was business as usual, when everyone knew what was happening in China, Italy, Spain, Iran etc. Considering how much traffic flows into Dubai for business and entertainment purposes, they should have suspended travel and the entertainment stuff much earlier than that.

I also find the 470 odd positive cases reported dubious to say the least. Who knows how many people they are actually testing. Plus with a population that is like 90% expats, and with their animal like laws, I bet most people are afraid to go out and get tested.

That's right mate, I reached that conclusion over 3 weeks ago. The way things are going, all of 2020 may be a goner but we will have to wait and see. I'm hoping by June or July we may be able to travel, but all up in the air right now.

How long do you think this current situation in Dubai is likely last? My understanding is that bars and discos are closed, along with the travel restrictions, visas banned etc. The other day I told my regular Uzbek WG in Dubai that I think it could be a minimum 3 months to 6 months maximum before the situation becomes like it was before this crisis and she got really pissed at me, saying I'm crazy etc. So my question is, given that UAE has a fairly small number of COVID 19 cases right now (less than 150), what is your prediction on when it should go back to business as usual? I think even if my 3 months minimum was a bit excessive, it does look unlikely that things would go back to normal until after Ramadan is over. I was planning on coming to Dubai this Easter break for 10 days but that does not look like it's going to happen.

This too shall pass! We will be back to our beloved hobby sooner or later, this is one industry that will never stop!
