York, Rattlesnake, Rockafellas, Stayin Alive, the old Cyclone -- I was always charged admission fee, even if a white guy in front of me was given a free pass and even if I had been to the club several nights in a row. Maybe I should be more assertive in the future and flash my USA passport to the door man.

I don't know if this incident was because of my race or me just being foreign. I was trying to catch a taxi outside of my hotel when a Arab lady jumped in front of me after a middle age gentleman stopped to pick me up. The guy who I later was to discover was from Sri Lanka told the lady to fuck off the Black guy was here first. She screamed something about telling his manager as we sped off and I informed him I appreciated it but it was not necessary he responded by saying he was tried of the Arabs doing that.

On the flip side racism is everywhere. I have lived in various Asian countries in my short life and I call one home now and I have seen the ugly side of human nature in all of them. It's just like corrupt inept governments all we
can do is live with it.

As someone who has frequently travelled to Dubai with British/EU Asians, I can assure you the colour of your skin will not make any difference with about 95% of the girls regardless if they are CIS, PRC or African.

My pals and I have frequented the most lavish of clubs in Dubai with working girls, including Boudoir, Amnesia (RIP), Cyclone (RIP), Premiere and Kubu and have never experienced any form of racism associated with colour.

Now these guys are British Asians, which if anything made it worse for them, as they had to pay a higher rate

Guys from the sub continent are charged less money by some of the girls who understand that these guys are on a lower payscale, for which the girls should be commended.

As with most things in life, appearance matters, whatever race you are. I have seen white guys from Russia being point black refused in Cyclone, and Indians welcomed. The WG later confirmed that the Russian guy looked, and smelt awful, and she didn't want to spend time with him. Read into what you like.

I am heading to Dubai this weekend.

I have read the Dubai threads and it seems the mongering scene in Dubai is a bit different than Bahrain (where I usually monger). For start, you don't seem to have room service in Dubai, that is girls coming knocking on your door as soon as you check in (check Bahrain threads for more details). That means I have to do a bit of hard work, get off my butt and go through the bars and finally when I find the wg I want she may not have her own place and I may not be able to bring her to my room, is it as complicated as it sounds or am I too spoiled by the Bahrain mongering scene? I have to admit we don't seem to have the Varity of girls that you have in Dubai, especially the Africans (Ethiopians, they are forbidden in Bahrain).

The same thing happens to me all the time, sadly, only when they are grabbing my belly.

Good Guy: I don´t think anyone is brushing off the race issue, if De Etat and others have had great experiences, well, that is great, but I know people who cannot get their kids into good schools based upon their passport.

Sad reality that will take a long time to change I fear. I can confirm Piper´s experience with work racism, it is to the point where the white guy is trotted out for the interview, and the "unacceptable" guy does the work.

As for bar entrance fees, Cyclone was always equal opportunity, everybody paid (at least that I ever saw) but the rest, I think I was charged ONCE at Regal on a Thursday night. Rattler has also always made me pay as well. Every other bar, it is a smile and a nod for the most part.

A boycott was suggested years ago here on the forum, and the tourist authority claims to investigate and punish discriminatory entrance policies, but I would not hold my breath for real change.

racism is endemic in dubai, and that's not going to change for a long time. believe it or not, it pisses off some white guys also, including me. i was recently offered a well-paid consultancy project by a local arab company because, as they said, they wanted a 'white guy'. so much for my years of experience. i told them i was too busy, but i had a colleague who could do it, and probably better than me. they asked his nationality, and i told them (he's arab). immediately they weren't interested in him, even when i pointed out he's whiter than me.

as for hooking up with wgs if you're not a white guy - d etat and others point out, just be friendly, fun attitude and confident, and you'll have no problems.

local arabs have a bad reputation in dubai with the working girls because of some horror stories, including gang-[CodeWord123], murder in the desert, non-payment etc. unfortunately, a few of the stories are true, as anywhere in the world, but they tarnish the reputation of the other 99% of the local guys, who are good people like anyone else in the world.

on a lighter note - i'm enjoying the fun with filipina girls. many of them like to say on their dating-site profiles that they are 'simple' - a favorite filipina word that roughly translates as 'no baggage, no complexities'.

Joe: Just like in Full Metal Jacket, I've had a few Asian WGs tell me they would never pick up a black guy for exactly that stereotype! More power to you. And I suppose me and my South American hermanos (brothers) can always fall back on the "Latin Lover" stereotype.

I would be staying in Fujerah from 8 to 10 March.ve been to Fujerah last year and I could only find some PRC WGs.There was one hotel(I forgot the name but it was in down town near some round about) where russian dance was going on and I visited there and had stayed for some time but I was told that those dancers(CIS girls) don't come for business.As i m less keen on PRC or Thai babes,could any one please tell which hotel is GF and will have in house stock of CIS WGs.Last time I stayed in company guesthouse and was not at all GF.I don't mind going to other hotel and staying overnite if I can get CIS cuties.

Interesting conversation. As a South American dude, I've seen my share of racist WGs in Dubai. I've never had a problem with Asian or Black girls. But some CIS, especially Ukrainian and Russian, have literally spun on their heels and walked (or ran) away as soon a I said "hello." That has happened even if I was wearing an expensive suit and drinking pricey mixed drinks. Just seems the blonder they are, the more potential for racism. I chalk it up to the fact that I am about the same skin tone as locals. I am occasionally mistaken for being Arab (they must not see many Latin American folks in these parts!). And some WG have flat-out told me they would never pick up Arab customers, who are seen as cheap and untrustworthy! That is the WG stereotype, just like the stereotype that all white guys are rich.

In my limited experience in Dubai I can concur to some degree. I'm African-American and the last time I was in Dubai i was mistaken for Arab. This happened at a few restaurants and at the hotel. My one experience at Rattlesnake was good (with a PRC). The PRC I picked up grabbed by crotch in the bar and said "you so big..." I guess if they are going to believe stereotypes it might as well be a good one... :-)
