Sunday night's Indianesque escapades.

Last night started around 8pm for a few games of pool at Music room. The number of WGs are steadily increasing there. I saw an Afircan girl who I shagged a few times over five years ago. We pretended we didn't remember each other (maybe she wasn't pretending ) as she was chatting up a British guy (in shorts and sandals!). The real reason we avoid each other is that a few years ago I threatened to have her thrown out of York when she became over-aggressive in her marketing and a pain in the butt one time too many.

Then it was off to Regal for some serious hunting. A pool-playing pal recommended we stop in and check out Rumors on the way for a quick drink, as he knows the new DJ, and they're trying to get the sad place going again. He called the DJ and arranged free entry for my pal and I. The place is still sad. At nearly 11pm, there were about 6 guys sitting alone and about 8 girls alone or in pairs. We walked straight back out and onto Regal.

We bumped into another work pal at Regal, which was fun, but three guys hunting together can waste a lot of time, so we eventually split up to find the new loves of our lives. A few familiar faces at Regal , but there were many bleached-hair Californian CIS girls. A few cuties, but I didn't fall in instant love with any of them. Took her across to Regal where one of my pals and his Uzbeki girl were waiting. While waiting for me, they'd ordered six shwarmas also!

Had a few laughs in the the back of the taxi. The two girls got on well despite coming from competing markets (African vs. CIS). Miss Uzbeki even joined me in running our fingers through Miss African's long natural ringlets to see if her hair was real. Back home, and Pal and Miss Uzbeki didn't waste any time - straight to the guest's room and into it, while Miss A and I watched a bit of TV, chatted and munched. You never know your luck but by next week sandals may be OK as long as they are unaccompanied by socks. ...Notwithstanding the above I must question why anyone would go out clubbing on a Friday night in sandals.

• 2. I've been wearing sandals to Seaview for the last 3+ years - never a problem before.
• 3. The "why" is that they are COMFORTABLE, Seaview was the sole destination, and it's not exactly a "style" bar.

Given that there have been fights/near fights of late, as I said, I think it's a convenient way to exclude "L&R's" (locals and regionals). Given that I had debated in going there at all, no big deal. They just lost points by giving me a red card, rather than a yellow.
