I was in Dubai for the first time for about few hours. IMHO, Dubai is one place where you can find working girls from all over the third world. Most of these girls are there to make the money for a few months and leave Dubai. I visited Cyclone and according to my standards there was not a single girl over there above 7.5 in my opinion. Agreed there might be a few Gems there, but they must be few and far between. Asking prices at Cyclone in general are approximately (500Dhms to 700 Dhms or about $170 to 225) per night.

IMHO, mongering in Dubai is only good for those who are visiting Dubai for business and monger on the side. Dubai is really not a mongering destination in all it's own. What can I say i am doomed as far as mongering goes, I have been to the top mongering destinations in the world (Brazil, Thailand, Colombia) and now anything less just don't feel right.

Overall, I enjoyed the few hours i was in Dubai, but i found it very expensive. Sheraton Four points costed me approx $200 per night. On top of that a Girl cost approx $200 per night, and then if you factor in some shopping. I don't think it would be very hard for a person like me to wipe off about $800 per day.

I am sure many of you might disagree with me on my summary of Dubai, but then again if you have not been to the Mongering heavens of the world then you have nothing to compare it to.

Bad Signs

place is not that full, as i recall from my last time a couple of months ago that the club really starts pumping at around 1am.

just like me: start pumping around 1am, at home, with company. my motto: get there early, pull early, lt is lt.

one thing irritates me is that the other half of the club is for reservation only - tables laden with finger foods, you cannot sit anywhere as you have to reserve the areas for a considerable sum of money....

seems reasonable to me - allows you some, if not privacy, at least spared from the bumbling masses, or gawkers, so prevalent, those that don't understand personal space...

only the guys dance together, seems the ladies are not up for it, or maybe the social customs are otherwise.

yea... one nice thing about seaview, it's mostly women out dancing, some couples, but you do have those few jack-offs out there alone, trying to impress... who?

the difficulty is that one cannot stand in one place as a single guy, it would’ve been best to come with another friend.

Being footloose and fancy free since the previous night, where I failed by literally 1 minute to match up with the CIS A-lister, I phoned a couple of numbers last night, but only got hold of Maria, who is Ukraine hottie from a couple of previous encounters. She made me wait for 1 hour before going to pick her up at her house in Deira.

Since I had a few minutes to waste, I drove over to the area around Metropolitan Hotel, Deira. I must say it was the first time I had seen this sort of thing, seeing as I don't spend a lot of time over in Deira side.

heres my report in actvities in amnesia, from 27th december 2006 visit(however it seems your prices are a little out of date):

i recently thought to myself that i should check out what amnesia has to offer, as having read a number of reports in this forum, it has become clear that:

(1) most guys prefer cyclone to amnesia (distance and similar prices 1.5k - 2k)
(2) regular mongers try to maximise pussy costs by keeping away from the exotic types (read moroccans, iranians, iraqis etc.)

anyway, boy scout that i am (always prepared) and thus anticipating the stiff entry price of dhs 200 to keep the riff raff away, made my way over there, as it happens to be close to where i stay.

thank the gods that at least the entry price includes 2 free drinks - at least that evens out the total cost of the evening when compared to the lower cyclone entry.

enough said! i make my way upstairs to the 2nd floor at around 12midnite. place is not that full, as i recall from my last time a couple of months ago that the club really starts pumping at around 1am.

a male arabic singer belts out decent songs to a backing track, alternating with the disco when he takes a rest. only the guys dance together, seems the ladies are not up for it, or maybe the social customs are otherwise.

first three ladies that spoke to me in such a friendly manner were all from turkey. unfortunately they were not my type, on too fat, the other short, cute face, blonde hair but again tending to baby fat proportions, the third a quiet friend of the second – who also suggested that i take the two of them. i didn’t bother enquiring about prices, as i knew i wouldn’t be taking any of them. i mean, if we are paying for the service and product, in my humble opinion we can choose the quality on offer. it’s a buyers market after all!

one set of 3 ladies in a spot intrigue me. going over i start to chat to the one i like best, 5’5”, slim body, size c to d breasts. one problem, again having just arrived, her english is practically none existent. her friends are not much better. all of them are from romania, so that is why they looked different to the normal cis look i’ve come to recognise. however the lack of english makes it a problem for me…as i don’t like her having to call her friends to explain what i want once we are at home. on second thoughts later that evening, i probably would have been able to negotiate a better rate for her, as romanians slot in price wise underneath cis and arabs.

so i trust others can benefit from the report, even if it didn’t end up in any action. i will go back to find the last lady again, because she seems definitely worth the effort. i just hope i can spot her again; obviously she will be wearing other clothes.

11b - i agree about gulf air. last time i was travelling back from bahrain, they told me the flight was delayed an hour, so i went to the business lounge. 30 minutes later i went back to the boarding gate, but they'd closed it and wouldn't let me board as the plane was now full!

False Economy
In order to save 500 dhs, flew Gulf Air. In theory, an extra 90 minutes each way on overnight flights. No big deal, and, for me anyway, 500 dhs is not chump change. After all, it does buy a night of fun with an attractive lady...

On the other hand, it's just a night of fun with a wg, no big deal. How Gulf Air stays in business is beyond me. How can a 50 minute flight be delayed over an hour?

• The obvious "hold the plane for passengers on late arriving connecting flights". (And their luggage). But when your schedules/connections are unrealistic to begin with... You will ALWAYS be late.
  
  
• Gulf Air's computer system must be a disaster. A number of doubly assigned seats. And, rather than the ground staff doing THEIR job to sort things out BEFORE bording the flight, they had obviously "not my job'ed" the problem and just passed it off to the cabin crew, letting everyone board. Literally milling passengers in the aisle...
  
  Idiot passengers didn't help. It'a a 50 minute flight, Bahrain - Dubai, for Christ's sake. Not a big deal you can't sit with your boss, spouse, friend, whatever. Take the empty single seat and let's get going. But noooooo... like that old kid's puzzle, you know, 16 squares, 15 tiles, put the tiles in numeric order... Any number of reshufflings required.
  
  Idiot passengers (2) : keep asking when we'll leave. Hey, it's NOT a bus - you don't take off with people standing in the aisle... well, maybe in YOUR country, but not here. Standing up to complain about the problem does NOT help, and just obscures any vacant seat...

• Besides, couldn't leave anyway, waiting on paperwork... It's a SCHEDULED flight, it's the computer age... How difficult can boilerplate paperwork be?

Finally, over an hour late, past the time we were due to land in dxb, plane departs. Arriving dxb, given Gulf Air's prominence (not), it's a bussed gate. Fine. But how difficult is it to let the airport know your ACTUAL arrival time so that the busses can be waiting at the parking area? 10 minutes after coming to a stop, door is finally opened. (An influential airline would have the wasta, for an UNUSUAL late arrival, to have these things in place. But when it's a daily occurence...)

We must have parked at the end of the runway... it's another 10 minutes bus ride to the terminal. Now 2am, a BAD time to be arriving given a lot of overseas flights arrive early morning. Immigation area HEAVING with people, a majority who don't seem to understand the concept of personal space... But I luck out, and get moved to a GCC queue. Nice thing about dxb, they are efficient, and know how to make use of their facilities.

HINT: take the queue to the right in the immigation area - often, you are moved to the GCC "no customers" queues.

Past immigation... and an hour's wait for the baggage. Again, Gulf Air must have waited until EVERY bag was unloaded BEFORE trundling them off to baggage claim, and, for sure, no baggage train WAITING for the plane. So bad that the flight info disappeared from the baggage belt sign BEFORE a single piece of baggage had been delivered from the flight.

So, instead of being home by 2am, enough time, if I wanted to make some phone inquiries as to who was still at the bars looking for a customer, it was 3:30 before I got home.

With the previous Miss T (deported), would not have been a problem. Would have left her a set a keys to my place, and I would have returned to a spotless house, a muli-dish meal: "Are we expecting other guests?" - "No, didn't know how hungry you'd be, or what you'd want to eat, so wanted to give you choices.", a great massage, and some relaxing ministrations...

As it was, came home to the house disaster I left (nothing like leaving QUICKLY after work) ; no elves to magically clean. Thought about calling the current Miss T, but not quite ready to start that up again, and while she can throw a mean dinner party, cooking is the exception rather than the rule.

Would just wait till Thursday evening to go out, taking my own advice:

• Book AWAY from Gulf Air.
  
• Remember to pick up your allowance of alcohol at the ARRIVALS' duty free. Convient.
  
• When arriving late, crash out, 1st night alone, and recover from the jet-lag.

Greatest Thing Since Sliced Bread
Besides lack of company, it's American bowl season, and there was a game on I did want to see. Figured I'd missed the 1st half, due to the late arrival, but it was a west coast game, so did not start until 5am. That's the good news. Bad news: I knew I couldn't stay awake for it. Solution? One of the greatest inventions ever: the DVR. Programmed the unit, 6 hours later, was watching the game after a relaxing sleep. Fast foward the commercials, replay the close calls...

Forget your vcr - it's a dinosaur. If you don't own one, don't hesitate - get a DVR NOW (besides, it's DSF).

Intel Failure
No disrespect to any reporters. We all have our own style of writing. But, for me, anyway, the PRIME function of this forum is SHARING IMPORTANT information. Penthouse Letters are fine, but I'd rather live my own experiences than read about others' antics. As Number 2 was fond of saying, "We want INFORMATION..."

As such, Thursday night, headed out to Seaview. Plenty of space in the parking lot... (those in the know are LOL about now). how dubai has changed in 3/4 years. it used to be the best. some of the new guys in dxb, wont beleive that you used to be able to get russian stunners in the astoria (back in the day) for 150 - 250 dhs. & there was zero attitude. does any1 remember them days ? back me up.
