Posts: 48Today I was out with Miss Wildcat, and received a message from a "Nancy/Coco" saying she's been in China, but has returned and opened her "massage centre" again. I have no idea who she is. The only Nancy I know was well over 18 months ago (a cute regular in doubles for a few months), and I'm sure my number has changed since then. Anyone else get the message? If so, who is she?

I got the same message last week. I called and from what I could figure, it was a MP I visited about a year ago - one time.

Ever see that ad for underwear?: "One day you're gonna get caught with your pants down."

Later, and only 30 seconds after I put Miss Wildcat in a cab, Mr. D called to see if we are still on for tomorrow's threesome with his hot Miss B.
One day I'm gonna get caught with my pants down - yikes!

PS: Bravo - yep, I believe the source about 1700 gals rounded up (not all deported yet - many still in detention). And yes, I'm starting to think that finding a regular would be a good idea (for a while at least).

Posts: 2496Will agree with Piper1 and Tom2004.
The a-listers especially understand all too well about the conventions. Not saying they'll raise their rates, but discounts will be few and far between. They figure the increase now will offset the dip in income due to the upcoming christmas holidays.
The well known venues will be more crowded, along with a lot of hotel bars (girls know where the business is). PERHAPS less gratis entries to some bars.
If you do see one you fancy, move fast. If you like her, so will others. As the old saying goes, "you snooze, you lose". You can get there early, or, get there later, and hope to catch her as she comes back from her first ST. Or, risky, get there late, and hope she's come back looking for 1 last ST/LT. But I wouldn't put much stock in the supply at 2:30am.
Not only true for the a-listers. The largesse will flow down, or, looking the other way, a number of wg's will "step up" in rank: that not quite a-lister will be as popular as a true a-lister off-peak.
As Tom2004 says, make sure your definition of LT matches hers. A number will use "until you fall asleep". Given the increase in demand of big spending punters (any marketer... and the buyers...), girls will be eager to get back for another chance at the "brass ring grab".
Simple math- 1 ST + 1 ST >= 1 LT
- 1 ST + 1 LT > 1 LT
But, like Piper1 says, still any number of girls to go around. If, as Piper says, 1700 wg's were deported during Ramadan, and it didn't make a dent in the bar "level", then certainly there will be any number for you to select from. It's just that you MIGHT not get your 1st choice.
One nice thing about having regulars: while you don't get the benefits of reduced prices during slumps, you are protected from price increases during peak seasons.

Off-topic: anyone get bit by the Sony music CD root-kit? I mean, what were they thinking? If that's a decision "blessed" by multi-million dollar execs, then, for sure, I'm underpaid: I make bonehead decisions for nothing.

Posts: 342Thanks gentlemen. I appreciate the constructive criticism which I will put to use on my next visit in two weeks, which I understand will be the height of some major convention (Index Show?). The Ramada went and raised their rates on me by 200dhs specifically because of the convention! Does this mean a lot more competition at the major venues like Cyclone?

And once turned down for a drink (but not business), I myself use it to gauge their "seriousness" factor about doing some business with me; do they stick around or move on?

- There was a sidebar in the newspaper about how the police were requesting the public's help, as in "whenever we get a complaint, we immediately investigate..." ... so, keep repeating myself, but discreet IS the watchword. Just takes one irked civilian... and EVERYONE has mobiles...
- MY OPINION: it's VERY unusual to see a story like this in the newspaper (for the reason above), so when one does appear... take heed.

And yes, there are some Indian girls available in Dubai, but for various reasons, they play much more low key. Also, many in the "houses" are essentially prisoners, lured here with false promises, then kept in houses until they can escape (if lucky).

Big Bob - excellent report! You did damn well for a 24 hour stop in Dubai. Your report really gave the flavor of what a mongering day/night can be like in Dubai for visitors (and even for residents like myself. I had a very similar night a few months ago - in fact, I didn't even manage to get laid by the end of the night). Still, good fun trying - all part of the adventure. (By the way, without a doubt, you could have had the two African girls for 300 total at that time of night). One tip - never let on you're passing through town. You have just arrived on a three-year contract.
As for York - no offence taken - it used to be an old favorite haunt, but the whole scene has changed to mostly African and Chinese with only a smattering of my preference - CIS girls (they know how to party!) I prefer Rockafellas at Regal for the CIS girls, but the place gets incredibly crowded with the sausage brigade after midnight.
cheers and looking forward to your next visit and post.

Posts: 4050While I was out I saw one woman being propositioned. She did not seem to be a SW and gave the guy short shift.
Sometimes, the propositioners can be police looking to entrap a girl. During Ramadan, 1700 WG's were arrested, to be deported (no amnesties anymore, and the "price of freedom" has risen to unaffordable amounts). One WG I know quite well was propositioned outside Imperial Suites last week, then taken to the cells.

Authorities crack down on streetwalkers
Dubai | By Sunita Menon, Staff Reporter | 11/11/2005
Despite the unrelenting efforts of authorities to fight the strange scenario of streetwalkers plying their illegal trade on the streets of Dubai, these women continue to pose a serious health risk since they do not have to undergo medical checks, doctors and health officials warn.
As the UAE grows rapidly into a modern state, economically and socially, experts say, it is natural to expect the appearance of various types of businesses such as the illegal flesh trade the oldest profession in the world.
Rangarajan/Gulf News
In addition to their violation of the law, the scene of women offering their illegal services on the streets is worrisome to doctors and health officials.
However, virtually everyone involved in this activity is here on a visit visa.
The women thus are not registered with the health authorities and have no access to a health card.
"This immoral activity doesn't represent a phen-omenon in Dubai as it does in other countries. Nevertheless, we have special teams to combat it.
"Our efforts are tireless but we also need the public cooperation to eradicate it," said Brigadier Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, head of the Dubai Police Criminal Investigation Department (CID).
These illegal activities are alien to the UAE's culture and traditions and the police cannot tolerate their existence, he said.
Everyone who spoke to Gulf News on this issue did so on a guarantee of anonymity.
A senior Ministry of Health official declined to discuss the issue.
He told Gulf News that the topic is considered sensitive because of the UAE's cultural and social mores.
Asked if prostitutes are required to undergo medical check-ups, the official said: "That is a big question and a difficult one to answer. This job is not licenced."
Doctors in private clinics said that cases of HIV/Aids, tuberculosis and sexually transmitted diseases (STD) are immediately reported to the Ministry of Health.
"It is mandatory for us to report to the ministry. The UAE has very strict regulations on it," said a doctor.
Under the regulations, anyone found carrying STDs is deported and prohibited from returning.
"In nine years of practice I have not come across any such cases. The prostitutes are well aware of the regulations.
"They would prefer to go back to their country and get themselves treated," said another doctor.
An official from the Department of Health and Medical Services in Dubai (DOHMS) said that HIV and gonorrhea are the most common diseases in women who are involved in this age-old profession.
He said: "Visit visas, no check-ups and so these prostitutes pose dangers. We detect them with HIV when they are arrested and a medical check is carried out on them."
A top Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department official yesterday told Gulf News that prostitutes come to the UAE as tourists on visit visas provided by tourist agencies.
The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing said that its job is to regulate the tour operators.
A DTCM spokesperson said: "The department makes sure that all tour operators are licenced. They function legally.
"We also look into complaints registered against the tour operators," said the DTCM spokesperson.
Prostitutes who spoke to Gulf News said they "would appreciate" regular health check-ups.
They said they only go to health clinics when they have symptoms of STD. Laura, 22, from Romania, came to the UAE on a visit visa.
"This is my first visit to the UAE. My friend gave me a visa.
"She is working here. She is also doing the same job," said Laura.
Veronica, 28, a Bulgarian, said she too came to the UAE on a visit visa.
Asked if she opts for safe sex, she said: "At times. It all depends on what the clients prefer."
Echoing what Veronica said, April, 29, another Bulgarian said she often suffers from skin irritation and has it treated in a clinic in Bur Dubai.
"Yes, I agree there are health risks, but then is anyone bothered about it?" asked Nabila from Zambia, a 31-year-old.

Great report but small mistakes. I agree you should not have gone at girl's place. They took you for a ride. Next time be careful.
