    Hi Sabalo,

Just got back from Venezuela. Fished all over the country many times and Los R in particular. Fly fishers paradise without a doubt, but bring a spinning rod and you will see some real (reel) action. .

I can advice you to do some work on Tagged. Com.

Caracas is tense now but daylight excursions to for example the massage parlors are OK. CMA in front of Sambil used to treat me good. The combination of desperation, arms and paranoia is not good and Caracas is a place to study this first hand at the moment.

San Ignacio at night is OK, as long as you hit on the right girl. The pros drop in at midnight. Maybe stay in Altamira so you are close.

    Caracas Updates-MONGERING HELP

Whats happening to this country-it looks like its getting worse every year. I'm a fly fisherman and am going to Los Roques in Feb with a 4 or 5 day stopover in Caracas. Other than Sexy Caracas theres not a lot of new info out there-"go to Sambil mall for night life". Tried contacting a few drivers that were listed on the board-no luck, emails not working etc etc. Its getting or maybe becoming more like Cuba every year. I know that a bit of danger and difficult logistics often brings opportunity but this is ridiculous. I know why most guys who just wants to monger would choose Colombia over Ven, and I do to and have been several times to Medellin this year, but Colombia just doesn't have the shallow reef type water like Los Roques for fishing and diving. So I have my flights booked, fishing arranged but need some help with Caracas. Someone to watch my ass for a few days.

    Moving to Caracas

Kos was considering moving to Caracas a while ago, but here is what I found out. The internet is garbage, when it rains, the internet gets knocked out, not even dependable. The electricity has blacks out constantly, cannot even depend on the electricity. The transformer on the corner by my hotel blew out, we had no electiricity for one night, no waterr, nothing. It was a disaster. The infrastructure of Caracas is absolutely terrible, by far the worst I have ever seen in a South or Central america country. The food is good though, the women are hot. I mean, I have seen many non-pros and pros who are very sexy. But the problem is the insecurity, very dangerous. I only saw one American the whole time I was there at the Old four seasons. I spent alot of time in Venezuela, and seeing one american the whole time was unbelievable. The floods are creating a serious problem, chavez is demanding to let the hotels be used to help the people in the floods who lost their home. I see why Aragorn left, the whole country is falling apart and people are fleeing the country as fast as possible. Also, the government is stealing the money of residents, bank presidents are stealing money, the whlole country is on the verge of collapse, roberries are out of control. I see why Aragorn left the country ASAp. Beautiful country with beautiful girls, but sheet, the country is falling apart fast. An experienced person can do Ok in Caracas, but for the beginners without spanish, don't even waste your time. Go to Costa Rica / Panama or somewhere else.

    Hello, all,

So Caracas. Is just Thugged Out!

I Think I'll take take your word for that.

I want to go to Caracas, but probaly will not now for sure!

I've done at least 20 trips to South Americaeru, Colombia, Ecaudor, Chile, Etc.

And I have seen Thugged Out South America. Peru is my favorite, but the brothels(Chongos) that I go to are in some very Thugged Out areas.

Seriously. To Survive in these places alone you have to speak spanish and be on a high level of Alertness! Watch everything and trust no one!

P.S. FUCK Chavez! Time Invade with the Military And TAKE OVER!

Chavez wants to make everyone poor in Venezuela so that he can be the man, like a god, but he is rich and lives in a house close to the US Embassy. Speaking of the US Embassy, they have the best location in caracas with the ultimate view of the city, reallly kick arse embassy. One of the best I have seen, besides the new one in panama.

Just back from Panama and Venezuela on business, with a little ohh lalala on the side, I think you guys know what I mean. Ok, Venezuela, specifically Caracas. This city is turning into a garbage dump real fast. The city is dirty, unkempt and basically dangerous. The airport has no decent security, the workers are trying to get money out of the passengers as they are waiting in the immigration line, its really fcked up in Caracas. I mean, I have never visited a country that is so unsecure. The only place to stay is in Altamira area for safety. The front page of El Nacional, the biggest paper in Venezuela said 20, 000 murders unsolved in Caracas, thats how fcked up it is. Its really screwed.

The women are sexy, but it is not worth it, visited many daytime casas, decent, but no women like it used to be at SPA Y ALGO MAS next to the eurobuilding. I found out why it closed though, the owner was having a relationship with one of the working girls, the wife of the husband demanded it be closed immediately, too bad. It was th best casa in the Caracas, and it is closed. If you do go, CC sambil remains the best spot, with the most women in Caracas.

My advice, go to Costa Rica/ Panama, maybe Colombia if you speak spanish, but I tell you, Venezuela is getting really unsecure fast, even the freaking airport is not safe until you get to the terminal, and my flight left at 6 in the morning. The country is a disaster waiting to happen. Its just not worth your life or the risk. Its really fcked up in Caracas!

Is anyone going to take over for Aragorn and give us the details, there has to be a couple more mongers on this board that live in caracas, come you guys, give up the details like Aragorn, he was perfect, but there has to be someone else to take over.

    Smoke a Dollar

There was a time in the 1970's that Kent cigarettes were the practical currency of Romania. Don't ask me why but a pack of smokes could get you a good meal with wine at a fine restaurant, a hotel room or a hot woman for the night.

In the book Diplomacy Lesson an ex-diplomat describes how the embassy in Bucharest once ordered menthol Kents instead or regular and had to smoke them because no Romanian would take them.

Bottom line things have value because people agree they have value.

The Hard Realities of Unreal Currency Control

NotiDolar and other sites shut themselves down when about 6 weeks ago the government accused all these previously legal currency traders of conspiring to bring down the Revolution by shorting the Bolivar Fuerte. <Insert comment about Chavez being an economic idiot here>

So fearing treason charges most places have shut down. The government recently published a bunch of new rules and "trading bands" for dollar or euro to Bolivar trades. The rules are very complicated and people who know economics better than me say it will just fuel a big black market (hence your 11+ quote.)

Why is the quote lower at the airport? Simple economics, there are more people with dollars in one place, more supply equals lower demand.

Since trading at 11 is clearly illegal there are trust issues. Do you trust the person who is giving you the BsF. Then there is street crime. You are going to dittybop around Caracas with three grand in your pocket or the Bolivarian equivalent? That is a hefty brick of cash. Just one of the additional obstacles to mongering in Venezuela.

Also, how long can a foreigner enter venezuela for, meaning, if you stay in venezuela for 90 days, can you just re-enter the next day and stay in venezuela another 90 days, and continue the process.

Since I have only visited carcas twice, for one week stays, I am asking these questions as essentially a newbie, while you are the native with the info.

    Answering your question

Locals use securities (stocks/futures) traders. This is legal. Essentially they are selling or shorting a fictional futures market for Bolivars.

I send Euros or dollars via EFT from an off shore account to an account in Miami for one of the securities traders. SerfinCorp and ItalCambio are two I've used, when they get the money they make an EFT to my local Bolivar account.

I've heard you can get a better than official rates about 5.7 at the Miami airport but sometimes they can run out of the actual bank notes.

I don't use an iPhone so I will have to get back to you on that.

I am sure Aragorn and others know where to go.

Also, which is the best cell phone provider in Venezuela, that offer prepaid plans with internet capability for iphones.

Although these are not women related directly, it would help newbies to Venezuela, I have been to Caracas twice, but it was awhile ago when it was safe, I do not beelive it is that way today.

not really. these days the trannies are mostly along east-bound libertador avenue.

there are one or two girls that work ave tamanaco a block north of the marriott. there are also one or two heshes that work that area. yes, ave cassanova, yes it runs in front of the melia, has a few trannies too.

the one i found was working a corner at los jabalos and libertador and several along ave. andres bello in libertador.

there are also a lot of crack heads further west on ave baralt but that is a serious no-go zone.

some cop friends actually showed me where the streetwalkers are in caracas, or at least a part of caracas where i would feel safe to go. i did swing by one afternoon and one hopped in my car (lesson learned, lock the doors!) i didn't want her particularly, average/cute at best, i asked if she was all woman (her territory and the trannies' overlap) she showed my her twat. i really wanted her to leave so i told her i wanted to fist fuck her **** up to my wrist. for bsf 150. i figured that would make her bail. it didn't and we were off to the races.

if you have the opportunity to come to caracas on business, then come and monger on the side.

if you want to come to caracas, go clubbing, dancing, flirting, bar hopping and pull chicas out of bar to go back to your hotel or her place, i would avoid caracas.
