Just had one of the best experiences to date in Wenzhou so felt I should do the honours and post about it.

There is a wonderful bathhouse / sauna that my friend took me to a few months ago and I have been going back on a weekly basis since then. The massage is usually first class. Good strong hands and an all over oiling up which I particularly like. After that they go and lock the door and start with the tickling of the ass crack and surrounding areas. Once on your back she will usually do a little more tickling before getting down to a good old HJ. Depending on the girl you get you can do more or less of what you want but of course after going a few times I now have my favourite numbers and I'm very rarely disappointed. All of the girls allow a bit of fondling which I guess is part of the package and some of the girls let you go almost as far as you want. I even had one of the girls kiss me once which was unusual.

Anyway, no FS but other than that it's a great experience and I'm so glad that I've found it or I'd be driving up the wall.

Finally had a bit of luck in Wenzhou. Went to one of my normal HE MP's the other night and during my massage the masseuse asked me if I wanted her to go and get me a 'mei nu' beautiful girl. Of course I said yes. So after my massage she left and came back with a beautiful girl who was very inexperienced and a little shy which seems to be normal for Chinese girls. Anyway, she did finally let me do most of what I wanted but I certainly had to do all the work so not exactly a great service but as it was the first bit of luck I've had here I wasn't complaining to much. I guess there aren't many people who need info about Wenzhou but I'll be happy to provide directions, the girls name etc. If anyone asks.

So it seems like the summer brings out a little more action in Wenzhou. I revisited the area mentioned before near the train station and there was a lot more action on the go. I finally saw what I'm sure was a BBS only it wasn't a BBS it was a small restaurant. There were 4 very pretty if a little young for my tastes standing outside but unfortunately I didn't get any eye contact, maybe laowai's not welcome. I went back a little later and did get a nod and a smile but by this time I'd lost any courage that I had. My Chinese is getting better but it's still not that great so I wouldn't know what to say if I just walked up to them and the fact that the front for the BBS is a restaurant kinda put me off a little. Has anyone out there ever seen a restaurant being used as front before? Where do you go with the girl once you choose one etc.

As well as the BBS I also noticed increased SW action in the area near the train station. I would say at least 20+ as opposed to the one lady boy that I saw last time.

Anyway, I still haven't sampled any of this as I'm not too sure about how to approach things so any comments would be welcome.

I was recently in Wenzhou and of course had a walk around looking for action. Having read an earlier post about the BBS hotspot near the train station I started there and was sorely disappointed. There are still plenty of MP's in that area but I didn't see one BBS anywhere. I walked down and around several of the smaller alleyways where I could see several dodgy looking MP's with unattractive girls in there. I eventually went into a place which had a stunning young girl in the window and asked for her to perform "amo" she took me upstairs and explained that it would be 100RMB for the massage or 150RMB for HJ. When asked if I could get anymore services she politely laughed and said no.

After I left I walked around a bit more and was approached by a SW who looked a bit like a lady boy so I said no, went for a beer and went home.

If anyone has had more luck in Wenzhou recently please let me know.

IN Changzhou now and the red light district has totally shut down. Taxi drivers say this happened earlier this year and it's not really gotten back up. Found a sauna and the price is 369, but the service is just basically a shag, nothing like normal saunas and hence, not worth the money.

Have heard two good tips from cabbies though. 1 is Danyang, a smaller town 1 hour out of CZ which is apparently swarming with xiaojie's and also some strip of KTV's which are pretty mad in Suzhou. Will try DY tonight, but no time to try and find this street in Suzhou. If anyone has any intel on it, please share.

I am visiting Zhuji soon. Last time I was there I couldn't find a thing. Anyone know if there is any action here? There must be somewhere, it is small but still a million people. Also I am completely confused by the KTV thing. If I get it right you go to the KTV room and then pick a girl to negotiate with and then? Go offsite, onsite? I have always ignored these places in exchange for anything else because it seems like it would be too much $ and too much work, especially since I don't speak Mandarin. Any advice is appreciated.

Sofitel sauna is undergoing renovation right now, no service avail in sauna. They said they could maybe find someone to come to the room. Price quoted was absolute BS, about RMB 1200 to 1500 for FS. Staff were all extremely rude. Absolutely stay away.

Crowne Plaza health club also not recommended. Wanted something like RMB 800 or 900 for in sauna, slightly higher price for in room. Health club looked really run down. Also has extremely bad service reviews on Chinese forums. Only one girl available for viewing the first night. Not worth the price. Second night, girls were not available for viewing before hand, had to pay for sauna then see what was available once in the bath. No thanks.

I ended up going to the sauna you mentioned, used to be called Jinshatan. If getting a taxi, it's west of the OLD provincial museum. I found the place through a Chinese forum and the price mentioned was RMB 468 so went in and asked for that offer. They said the price has recently gone up to 488. Or they had a 688? Service. I went with the cheaper one. Go downstairs and tell the guys you have the 488 service. They provide the locker to put all your stuff in, adjacent to showers and open scrub-down room. Didn't see any large baths. Did you see any? Scrub-down is included free and had a fun conversation with the scrub-down guys. They said a good number of foreigners from the nearby university stop by. Got the cheapest available PJs. Also the goofiest looking ones, white with cartoon rainbows on it. Almost like they're trying to shame you into buying the higher priced ones. The 488 option comes with a whole bunch of included services such as nail trimming, foot massage, etc. But I was running short on time and after sitting in the foot massage chair for a while, asked to be shown to the room. Room was very nice with attached glass-walled shower and bathroom, good sized bed, TV, mirrored ceiling. BTW, drinks are available for a very reasonable cost. Bottled water, soft drinks, etc are same price as outside. Saw a nice selection of very fine girls in the hallway. The girls were brought in one-by-one. I took the second girl they brought in, very cute 19 yo. From Dongbei, # 109? Been at this sauna for 2 months. Super lithe & high energy. Excellent catbath, BBBJ, fire & ice, very good FS. Great service, a lot of fun & liked to laugh. Phone rang at 1 hour mark to let us know to finish up. She said they have a mixed-blood Russian / Xinjiang girl working there occasionally. Total cost at checkout was something like RMB 512 including PJs and two 5 kuai drinks.

I suggest members visiting Sofitel or Crowne Plaza, go directly to the hotel sauna, ask the price, ask for the manager and tell him or her to F-off, then go get this 488 sauna deal.

I did notice, strolling in and out of the hotel, a place just outside the hotel, with steps leading downstairs (photo below). I was tempted to give it a try, but, with only a couple of days in town, decided to stick to places already recommended by others.

On my second and last night in town, the girl I went with at Jinshatan told me she'd worked previously in this underground place beside the Sofitel (which was why she wasn't shy of foreigners). She said they could send girls up to one's room in the Sofitel or you could go down into the place itself. I mentioned the sauna inside the hotel. She was dismissive of it, saying it charged too much. She said the underground place charged rmb 800 for an FS session.

Had I been staying in town another night, I would have tried it, so I can't vouch for this information, but I pass it on for what it's worth.

I notice some people have posted reports on Jinan in the North China Other Areas thread, some in this thread. A search on baidu reveals that the official Chinese classification includes Shandong as part of East China (huadong) , so I'll post here. I hope those in search of what little information there is on Jinan will find it.

A poster from last October had mentioned a sauna called Jinshatan, but an internet search appeared to show that the place, or a place with a different name but at the same address, had been raided in March, so I wasn't optimistic about finding it open. However, I called the phone number, and the chap at the other end of the phone said it was operating normally.

So I headed down there. The address is 156 Lishan Lu; the nearest landmark is the provincial Museum, which is 90 metres to the west. I've attached (I hope) the sauna's card below.

The positives: it seems pretty safe and well-run. It was busy when I was there on a Friday and a Saturday night. The second night they gave me great line-up: around eight girls, all quite cute, a couple really nice looking (though the really cute ones gave me that "oh god, a foreigner" look which I find intensely off-putting). The routine is standard, but on both nights I was able to establish enough of a rapport with the girl to have a genuine good time. The first night was with #191, who speaks more English than any other sauna girl I've met (and seemed generally better educated than most) , though she wasn't really all that attractive physically. She also didn't like DATY, which disappointed. #195, the next night, was cuter, and in some ways more fun, and she was a bit of DATY fiend. She was also used to foreigners, having worked next to the Sofitel (of which more in a separate post).

The negatives: it's very pricey by provincial standards, similar to Beijing prices. The one hour option is rmb1, 200. They also insist on selling the disposable pyjamas; they claimed that's all there were. When I checked out, I found also that they added the standard entrance price to the bill; usually in that sort of sauna they waive that if you're doing one of the full options. I'm sure I could have haggled, but I was only passing through town and couldn't be bothered. When I took a taxi back to my hotel on the second night, the taxi driver remarked that Jinshatan was the most expensive place in town; he offered to take me somewhere much cheaper, but it was late and I didn't have it in me. I asked him the name, but of course he wouldn't say; he wanted the taxi fee for taking me.

Still, if you can stand the relative expense, it's a reliable place if you're passing through town.
