You're a stand-up guy in my book, WT69. This map (v1) was useful my first few trips, and now it helps to orientate friends who I can't go with on their first trip. Pitcher's on me if we ever cross paths in MDE.

Anyone know of a good place to buy or rent a bicycle in medellin?

If you want to get a little faster mode of transportation. There is a scooter rental place in Poblado.

The owner is a very nice gringo and will help you out. His employees are all nice too.

I rented one for a week and really got to see more of the city than from a taxi. Makes those "casa" runs fast and efficient too since you are not stuck in traffic. Live a little and have a little adventure in your life.

Be aware of other scooters riders. Always best to make sure you are clear in all directions when riding one of these.

Lots of bicycle shops around San Juan in Estadio area below La 70. I have had good prices and service from bicilaverde. They have a facebook page.

Near Conejitas, also on north side of Calle 53.

(between Carrera 52 A and 53).

Smaller "show" bar, but very lively. 10 punters and 20 chicas. Sorry, no prices.

Update: Grill Occidental is on east side of Carrera 52, just south of Calle 54.

(mentioned by others, 8-10 chicas, 40 k for 1/2 hour, 75 k for hour).

Just came back from Taverna Victoria. It was small and loud. Easy to find as a tout out front motioned me in. Girls were nasty bunch and ran the gamut from fat to cute to kind of dried up looking. A beer was 4500. A girl quoted me 40.000 for half an hour. I said lets go and motioned upstairs. She nodded but sat there. I asked her to reiterate price and she did and I nodded, pointed to her and me and motioned upstairs. She just sat there as we watched the stage show, where a kind of nasty broad with badly colored blonde hair finger herself. Then this chick got up and and sat behind the stage with an older, nicely dressed and bespeckled woman who must have been the madame. That girl isn't going to go far as a prostitute, at this rate. The girl onstage came down and was still naked as she introduced herself. We exchanged names but I was already heading out toward the door to check out Yakuza.
