I was in Medellin about two years ago and I have returned once again. I've been back for a week so far and I plan on staying until the 2nd week of August.

Here's my situation though:

I have a studio near Parque Poblado. Does this mean that the Mansion girls are essentially off-limits for me since I'm not staying there?

Also, I think I might be missing out. I do like the Centro casas, but I do prefer pretty things. And I'm not sure on where to get them? I've been to Energy twice this week, and I've had two great experiences there, but I'm looking for a Veronica Rodriguez-looking chica, ages 18-22, clean, spinner types.

Should I then be going to strip clubs? Then getting phone numbers there for a future date at my pad? Or should I just try the Laureles casas (something I've never done). The prepago sites don't seem like the best value. But then again, I did go to Loutron last time.

Blue prices: 100,000 for 30 minutes, 130,000 for an hour. 8-10 girls, 7's 8's and 9's. BBBJ available with tip. Tips also requested for other "extras", so be clear with chica what is included if possible.

Abydos 10-12 girls, 7's 8's and 9's, prices not changed since Jan. 2014 list.

Energy mamasan turned us away at the door, all girls busy.

Clubs:

Luna Lunera prices now 130,000 COP for 30 minutes, 170,000 for an hour. Current price info and daily specials are available on the club web site (lunalunera.com.co) 100,000 exit fee, ridiculous prices quoted for take-out. No cover charge. Requires purchase of a bottle, minimum around 80,000 for rum or aguardiente. So same price for the room as San Diego, but at San Diego you can just buy a beer. Also available are three-song nude lap dances for 50,000.

Fahrenheit disco this merits a mention, but it is not a strip club. This regular disco is open until 6 am or later. 10,000 COP cover, beer is 15,000 COP. It has a deserved reputation as a good place to pick up freelance prepago girls. A group of us arrived around 3:30 and had little trouble locating some chicas, more or less equivalent to Mansion quality. One claimed to be doing this for the first time, etc. , and asked for 500,000 COP but quickly came down to 300,000, but I passed at that price. Another agreed quickly to 200,000. Make eye contact, dance a bit, ask if they are working.

NB. I understand the purpose of this thread is to post lists and update information (prices, locations, number and quality of girls, hours) on the lists. When I mentioned in prior post that a taxi driver commented on the safety of Maracaibo, I was just relaying a fact. I did not mean to endorse the driver's opinion or speculate as to his motives. He did not suggest any other clubs to us.

I think the taxi driver was trying to steer you towards a different club to collect a commission because that part of el centro is not dangerous, I've walked from hotel Nutibarra to the three clubs right there a million times at all hours of the night and I'm an old fat gringo that always travels solo in Medellin. That said, one needs to know where they are going because a few blocks from there is extremely dangerous.

Re the taxi driver, that's what I though when I read PianoPlayer's post. You see lots of taxis around these clubs and it's easy to catch a ride with one. The driver had a reason for not wanting to go there, and it wasn't the supposed danger.

Having said that, it's a world apart from Poblado. I've walked around there quite a few times, usually with others, but a few times by myself. I've never had a problem, but I have my head on a swivel and I'm ready to run if trouble appears. Definitely wouldn't stagger around there drunk. And yes a few blocks away is even more scary.

A note on Maracaibo strip club in Centro. We saw surprisingly high quality girls, 70,000 for 30 minutes. 15 or so girls on a Tuesday night, at least 6 or 7 highly doable. Security guard out front escorts guests to and from taxi. Taxi did not want to go there, too dangerous, but seemed OK inside.

It is not dangerous around those strip clubs in the day or night. Just don't go to the north of that area.

Only was in el centro strip clubs one night. Group of 7 guys, many in very good shape. Lots of people around this street and lots of traffic. I obviously would not walk around here alone. But because there are three strip clubs close together, how dangerous is it to walk to the one which is a block or two away from the other two? I sensed the seedy element (which I actually like), but with all the people around what is the actual most danger? Would a robbery go down amongst all the people, pick pocketing, what?

If a group if two sober guys who did not appear to be easy targets visited, again what is the actual danger? I am not talking about loud drunk off the beaten path stupidity behavior.
