Each sim card you put in has it's own number.
I bought a dual sim card quad band on Ebay for about 40 bucks.
I like to have a couple numbers, one for pros, one for the non.
You can have both sim cards in and working at the same time or turn either or both off.
Works great.
I use that system in Colombia and Brazil with the same phone.

Of course it's do-able in MDE and common.

You can get an inexpensive cel for about $20-25 US or bring your unlocked quad band cel and just by a chip.

Any mall, or in el Centro even cheaper.

I'm headed to MDE in a few days and was thinking about getting a cheap cell phone there and a phone card to get my own number to keep up with my chicas and not give out my private cell #. Everybody knows this common practice in Rio. Does anyone know if this is do-able in MDE?

I went to the location of Puntocon this August and it was closed. I think Geisha was closed, too. Your list helped me a lot. Would you possibly post a revised list within this month?

I have 4 or 5 I frequent now, including Geishas, which is no longer in the location given on one of the Medellin lists. If it hasn't been mentioned before, Geishas is now located in the square directly under the Prado Metro Station. It's incredibly convenient if you ride the Metro, but hard for taxi drivers to find due to the fact the road it is supposed to be on is underground in a tunnel at the location Geishas is supposed to be.

Get off at the Prado station and go down the stairs farthest to the North. When you exit the bottom of the stairs you will be in a brick paved park like area. Look about 45 degrees to the right and you will see a three story building. Geishas is through a door in the middle of that building and on the 2nd floor. There is a sign at the door saying Geishas.

Just flown from Medellin to Quit "LAN" drove to Coca (on Rio Napo 6 hours from Quito) and travelled down the river on a fast boat (Paisa girlfriend and I)from Coca to Nuevo Rocafuerte, Parque Yasuni, swam with the fresh water dolphins, then two more nights camping on the river until Mazan (15 minutes crossing by motorbike from the Rio Napo to the Rio Amazona, then 40 minutes in a fast boat to Iquitos, Peru.

Heading onto Leticia tomorow, then back to Bogota.

If any body would like more info, just ask.

I heading again to do this trip later in the year, anybody intertested, let me know.
