Years back one of my crowns popped on flight from HK / BKK. I dropped into Bumingrad Hospital. They have a excellent dental facility, many expats in waiting room, and they took good care of me.

Was trying to book a room in Bangkok and ran across the following.

Sad, truly sad.

The only redeeming factor is that prices are now really cheap at $42. 19 / night.

And apparently, downstairs LL is now all light and swish and Mediterranean (?).

Glad to see though, that the upstairs hotel rooms are still all the same. Dark, wonky, schlocky and with the award winning 100% leather-Naugahyde chairs still in its pride of place!

Hmmmmm, wonder where I'll stay at in Bangkok now?

Don't know what to say.

Some of our old customers stay at S33 and found it ok (though no pool and low quality breakfast). Bless residence is another option, if you want to be close to Soi 33. But. Much more expensive, and not "dark, wonky, schlocky".

Holiday Inn on the corner to Soi 22 or S31 on the corner to Soi 31 could be options.

Nevertheless - none of this hotels provide teak wood leather chairs of the quality levels we had at Livingstone's . You better stay home enjoying yours ...

Extremely poor. Ruined our stay in Bangkok.

Don't be fooled by the nice pictures, this hotel does not service like a proper hotel and completely ruined our stay. The owners of this hotel are not treating it like one and we faces countless issues during our stay, On our first day we were given about three keys that didn't work, until the staff finally went up themselves to sort it out. The shower drain was blocked causing the bathroom floor to flood and the tv wasn't working. They never seemed to serve food, I asked for breakfast and the kitchen was closed for some reason. We changed rooms and this time the air con wouldn't cool down the room properly. We kept complaining and they told us it the air con just takes time. An hour later, the air con still wasn't doing its job. The bathroom was also missing a shower rail and the shower drain was filled with hair from the previous guests. After enough nagging we were upgraded to deluxe. The room seemed fine at first, but again the air con wouldn't go below 28 degrees which caused sleeping difficulties. The jacuzzi was dirty and moldy and the boiler kept leaking and spraying whenever the shower was on. We returned one night with a strange sewage smell in our bathroom. By this time we've had enough and had unfortunately had to lash out at the staff. This completely ruined our stay...

Hmmmmm, wonder where I'll stay at in Bangkok now?

I had hoped for up-dates on Livingstone Lodge. All I have got is crap from an idiot away with the yaba varies or local whiskey.
