This morning I found out why my mobile had given up that fast (low battery). Instead of a pictures my camera made videos. .

I learn a lot this days. Today I learned how to take snapshots with the VLC media player out of a video. I extracted some pictures and [post-]tweeted all that. Right now you can find the pictures of you follow or search for Giotto_BKK On Twitter.

Tomorrow there will be another Twitter start-up talking about the stock markets, the financial crisis, Thai politics and Bangkok related issues. I think nobody would ever try to write about those issues in 140 bytes comment length. That's a challenge! Let's try to explain the problems of the world - with a few words! Then even you, *****, might understand something [very unlikely though]. Ahhh, I get it now, Twitter was developed for the French !

I have definitely no idea what can be done with Twitter. But I bought this new Samsung Galaxy SIII for my Thai mobile number. And activated 3 G (surprisingly that works here in Bangkok, even though the licensing procedures and regulations are legally not finalized). I downloaded the Twitter app and got started. Up to now I played around a bit.

A strange guy called Giotto_BKK Is running around out there in Bangkok. Whenever he goes somewhere, and it is of interest for the purpose of this forum, he will tweet. I think everybody knows that I enhanced the definition of "purpose of this forum" a bit. It will not exclusively be about girls, beer bars, gogos or massage parlors. But about pubs, restaurants, late night spots, discos, Sukhumvit street bars etc. etc. .

I thought this Giotto_BKK guy will write something like this:

"Just entered Baccara, Soi Cowboy. Plenty of girls (at least 40) , lots of customers, mostly Japanese. My neck hurts, because I watch the girls without underwear through the glass ceiling. Sadly I forgot my telescope - cannot see anything!"

... or ...

"Checked out the new English pub that replaced the Bulls Head in Soi 33/1. Royal Oak. Some people sitting outside, inside empty. Had Chili con Carne, was not impressed! Magners cider (tap). Ok!"

I will give it a try. If I see after a while that some followers are interested in this night tour tweets I will check out how I can connect that to this forum. Right now - let's tweet !

Though I had expected that Mrs. Merkel had called Mr. Monti in such a critical moment. It obviously did not happen. But please be aware that Germany will not buy any Italian bonds / notes any more in near future. .

I personally think we should not play Italy any more. Once Italy is to be played / in our group we should retire and travel home.

Go imagine I watched the match in a large plaza surrounded by sausages in their home ground. Good thing the folks were quite international (spotted a few Asian cuties, but hey. You don't feed yourself in the working fields. So had just to dream) so there was less tension. At half time, as some rain drops started to come down I used that to go back in my hotel. Didn't want to be in troubles for the obvious win. Today I will walk in the office with an happy smile (albeit sleeping alone) and be what has to be. Giotto probably is not alone (in not loving Italians) we shall survive. Appointment is in 2 years, Mr G. But first we need to qualify for the world cup.
