After reading endorsment I had my eyes set on coming here in the near future. I would think that if youre black in Moscow(hehe.. a blackman in Moscow!) you would stick out like a sore thumb.

the only way is to fing out yourself or befriend a fellow Russian. I don't think its THAT bad in Russia................or is it?. Comments guys on this? Oh and if you guys want to know...Im black.

I never had a bad time whether in Moscow or St. Petersburg. Russia is still the greatest place for GFE's. Thanks for the good input though.

Here is what I think the situation is:
Russians are not as much racist as they are nationalists.
If you are black you might have problems if you hang where lowlifes hang (worst clubs,subway,McDdonalds etc.)Otherwise blacks are tolerated well. I found that Russian women intrigued by black men and would sleep with you out of curiosity.
In todays Moscow no self respecting person uses Metro. Or eats at McDonalds.If u cannot afford Taxi you are bum. The only exclusions would be students.
If you are arab they would prolly think you are from Chechen region and therefore would be rude to you. Or you might get into physical confrontation with them.
If you are jewish you would definately be harassed. They hate jews.
So for that Greek-Arab gentlemen.,If confronted tell them you are Greek and they would love you. All Russian culture and religion and alphabet are from Greece so they feel a lot of affinity towards Greeks.

I have to disagree. I'm half Greek, half Egyptian, Canadian born business man. I've walked in downtown Moscow and in the Metro at night alone all the time. I have never encountered a problem (that's four months in Moscow).

I'm quite dark and I found that it intrigues Russian babes, rather than give way to racism. I've had many GFE experiances in Moscow, where the girls clung to me the next day and it was difficult to get rid of them.

I think, what really matters is how one carries themselves in Russia. If you look like a slob, you will get shit, but if one is sophisticated looking, one will have no problem.
Furthermore, on safety, body language is very important. Walk straight up. Unlike Europe, in Russia, one is either above or under the confronting persons social status. One is never equal, so one has to be firm in enforcing one's position to gurantee safety and respect.

Russian Women are racist,

In order of who they like the least,

1) Africans (Don't use the metro, you can be attacked by men and no one will move an eyebrow. Don't walk alone at night- this applies to everyone black, white, purple, or whatever color you are)

2) Arabs

3) Chinese/Asians (Japanese are tolerated, but pay more)

On the other hand if you look like Densel Washington(the black actor) you might get a break.

Have fun, but you will be stopped by the police at every corner , and asked for your documents. Be polite, don't argue with them.
Show your visa documents, and you will be ok.

coolguy. it all depends. generally speaking russian women are quite racist. if u have millions of $s u can always find a 'nice willing' girl to spend some quality time no matter what your skin color is. if not your chance may decrease dramatically but i think u still can find a not good looking russian woman for fun. hope this wont ruin your hunting mood.

How does Russian people in general and sex service in particular, especially in Moscow, treat those who are not whites but have US dollars to spend. I am planning to visit Moscow in a couple of months and I would like to set myself up for realistic expectations. I love young Russian women!

Hmmm... I was walking out of the McDonalds on Tverskaya a few minutes ago, and was solicited by a nice young girl, she looked kind of like Christina Applegate. It was (is) Friday night, I was figuring she wanted a little cash for the weekend. Anyway, it was a bit far from my hotel, so I declined. Maybe that wasn't such a good move.

I have been to NightCat 3 times. The base price gets you 1 hour with a girl. If you take a girl out of the salon, its also $50, but you have to come up with a place to take her. I guess the limiting factor for the salon is lack of rooms, not lack of girls.

As for English, I have yet to find a salon where English is spoken by the dispatcher. In this last case, the girl did speak some English, but nothing from the dispatcher.

BTW, the girl was quite good, but the price increase was incredible; in April, an hour cost 1000 rubles, 2 weeks ago it was 1200, now its 1650!

Information about other Russian cities is available in the "Other Areas" section. I just came back from a long weekend in Kaluga, no problem. Having been to Samara and Voronezh, I would say that an American tourist there is safer than walking down the streets of the average American city, certainly safer than Moscow.
