Thanks, but I am currently in the States.

I was really asking how the time of year that I was interested in going (early winter) would affect availability and price. Does street action disappear? Do clubs have fewer or more girls?

Because I speak Greek, it does not follow that I understand Russian. I can approximate the sounds represented by familiar letters, but have no idea what concepts they represent....just as English speakers would not understand the Spanish "seite muhares," though they could pronounce it.

If you are in Greece, another monger friend of mine is a travel agent in Athens. he is highly knowledgeable.., and doesn't gouge mongers. but specialized more in tour groups..., so he seems to make his $ there.

Russia can cost some real $, depending on how you hadle VISA, hotel and girls.

English should be good enough, besides if you can read the greek alphabet, you already understand Russian

Hi all. Suffice it to say I've mongered plenty elsewhere, but not yet in Russia, though I'd like to.

I have November 28 - December 8 open and am wanting to visit Moscow for the first time. How will the time of year affect my enjoyment in terms of the action that is available and the cost/ease of procuring it?

I do not speak Russian...just Greek and English.

I also know an American who rents apartments more on a weekly basis.

Of several trips, i have only rented an apartment once, mostly because I get lost in Moscow and like the features of a hotel.

regarding Kalifornia.., I completely agree on the Apt thing. I have a GF I have been with for th last year there. Russian women think and expect completely different things than western women in most ways. This is like my 5th russian GF.

Primarily though, it is easier to get somewhere with a non-pro Russian than in most other parts of the world.
sex is not a big taboo as it is in the West.

Many of you will find that just being from somewhere outside Russia allows a 50 y/o man to get a 22 y/o girl in the sack. Social standards allow this, as in other countries.

Just like an American women being enthralled by an Italian or French man, Russian women tend to like foreigners, just to practice their English and they will show you off like a new car.

Being in my 30s though, I have found women around the world that have education and professional jobs to pretty much be the same in many ways. Women are just a bit more approachable in most situations in Russia and other parts of the world than America. Especially highly attractive ones.

Over 25 y/o, most women are Russian Retreads (divorced, like my GF) As anywhere else, they tend to carry baggage, but also seek less (or more) as a couple. In more traditional Russia, 22 is an old maid., in more modern or conventional cities, 25 is an old maid.

They have learned to support themselves and not be looking for immediate and serious romance than younger women. What this means is that you may get them in the sack much faster than a women who is overtly looking for a husband like marriage socials. Some have children and are really looking for a new supporter, while others just appreciate some attention.

I was fortunate enough to meet my current GF through another friend.., who i met oddly enough finding my way to Chesterfields. (but that is another story)

One more thing... While the Marriott and Renaissance are hobby friendly, Kalifornia is absolutely correct that the best option in Russia is to rent an apartment!

mro, I understand your desire to hook up with a non-pro RU girl. I've invested some time and money into that effort by attending a "social" sponsered by one of the top "marriage" agencies in Russia and I've tried the internet correspondence route with good success on both counts... at the same time, I've had decent success meeting non-pros just getting out on the dance floor at some of the clubs. Most importantly, the nice thing about Russia is that you can have a date with a non-pro and if you can't close the sale, then you can head out to a club at 0100 and find a nice beautiful warm body for the rest of the night!

Keep in mind that I'm an old fart, so at a decent club on a good night, if you're younger and decent looking, you'll probably have to beat the girls off with a stick.

Mont, just one small correction to Kalifornia... You can bring girls into the Marriott and Renaissance with no problem, no matter what time. You will have to escort them down unless they leave late enough in the morning. Also, they will not be able to go up to your room without you going with them because you need a key in the elevator to access the room floors. At the Sheraton, you can bring a girl up, but you will have to register her. I prefer the options with the Marriott/Renaissance if you can get a decent rate and/or have some free nights to use.

Nike, I have a great experience boooking an apartment instead of a hotel; the unfortunate thing for you is that (I assume) you don't speak Russian. Otherwise you could have read ads in various Russian newspapers and would have found a great deal. Ok, let's go to Plan B -- go to the website of the English-speasking community in Russia <http://www.expat.ru> and try to post an ad (in English), specifying your time frame, etc. You ought to be able to find an apartment with or without a roommate for about $500/month in a decent location, which is substantiallly cheaper than a hotel and much better -- you may bring girls there without much hassle. Or you could try to find some deals (advertised in English) on the site of the Moscow's English-language newspaper The Moscow Times (http://www.themoscowtimes.com>. Good luck.
Mro, why would you want to pay money to some agency, which is designed specifically to find dates (not prostitutes) for their clients. You can easily just drive up (in a taxi, for instance) to a "salon" and take your pick of the available women there. Expect to pay around $50/hr, $70/2hrs (latter, obviously, being a better deal). Good luck.
mont, you will NOT be able to bring an outside girl into your hotel after either 9pm or 10pm ... and she will NOT be able to stay overnight even if you smuggle her before the curfew. This is done not out of faalse modesty, but because there is a hotel monopoly for prostitutes -- they want you to use their own only. As to Belgrade, it is located in a great spot, but it is nothing to write home to momma about -- sorta delapidated, but right across the street from the Ministry of Foreigh Affairs and the Arbat street, which is the Mecca for tourists. I have found most will ask for $100-$250 from street to Bar. It is always negotiable, but the street is always cheaper. Closer to $35.., your hotel S\T or more $ all night.., but should n't be more than $60 for Street and up to $150 for bars. (excepting NightFlight) You bring them to your hotel.

You can bring your own girls., they just need to register. But the best policy no matter where you stay is to book the room as a double. this way the ability to be harassed is gone , so long as you paid a reservation for two people. Then you just bring a new girl in each day.

Hey, In July I was in the Arbat (Shopping area)
It was interesting to find a few girls offering services.

Easy to tell, based on how they are dressed.

If you stay at the Belgrade, the security will ask you if you want a girl at night.
