This is another question for you. Can you tell us little about how the salons operate. That I don't need to worry about bringing the girls to my hotel room makes them very convenient for me. But I have no clue about how they operate... Should I call and make an appointment or can I just walk in? Is there anything that I should be careful about? Katenka and Wellcum looks quite promising. Do you have any experience with these salons? Any potential annoyances for a foreigner with very little Russian? Your comments will be appreciated!

Moscow Expat--Could you give me some idea of what it would cost for a non-Patriot to survive(monthly living expenses) in one of the major cities there. I am interested in living abroad for possibly a year or two. I'd obviously want to indulge in all the special ladies that are available from the area.

As for snagging a GF, you are gonna have to be pretty aggressive in your search, concidering that you got only 4 weeks, 3 of which you should be already getting laid. As to the tactics, what works for me is just being myself, being NOT desperate, but persistent (as in "I'm not gonna waste my time, as there are a lot of other girls in this city"), and being self-assured without being arrogant. It may be a bit challenging to snag something worthwhile if you have zero Russian friends or people like Moscow Expat to show you the ropes and take you around town, but it certainly can and has been done on numerous occasions. Some of the best clubs for foreigners and just plain beautiful Russian girls are: Propaganda (Thursday nights), 13 (Fri/Sat nights), Most (Fri/Sat nights), Zeppelin (Fri/Sat nights), Muzei (Fri/Sat nights), Garage (Fri/Sat nights) -- those would be my picks, as these are probably the most foreigner-friendly, poshest, safest, high-flying clubs that you must visit to simply look at what mascarades for the high society of Moscow, but I will certainly defer to the wisdom of Moscow Expat, who is an awesome tactician. Also, go look at the Club Guide at <http://www.exile.ru> -- they are mostly tongue in cheek, but there is much truth to them. Oh, and you MUST go to the Hungry Duck on a Friday or Saturday night just to see the remnants of a once florishing meat market extraordinare -- if you are time-efficient and a little lucky, you can get some free lovin'.
Like I said before, you ought to make a weekend trip to St. Pete -- there is a huge rivarly between the natives of Moscow (like me) and those of St. Pete, but I will readily admit that St. Pete is much more beautiful city, the people are friendlier, the girls are more attractive (per capita!!!) and there is a real chance of scoring with a drunken Finnish student, hehehe.
Look at it as an adventure -- you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain -- this is gonna be a great, unforgattable adventure for you -- have fun and the best of luck. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Based on your experience can you tell us which clubs are the best to pick up a nice girl for a GF experience? Any tactics, tricks, comments about how to behave with the Russian girls?

Rather than a prostitute I'm looking for a Russian girlfriend for duration of my stay. I'm coming there only for 4 weeks. Do you have any recommendations as to how I can hook up within couple days with a nice girl once I get there?

Expat, as a native Russki, let me compliment you on your vast knowledge and great tactics -- you make us proud! All of your advice in bang on target, but what's up with rusalki? Hey, I am a native of Moscow, but I have lived in the States for the past 15 years or so. However, I go back to the Motherland every so often; I even managed to spend this past summer in Russia working and getting laid a whole lot.
A word on street action: yes, it is very easy to find hookers that walk along the streets of Moscow; pay particular attention to the Leningradski Prospect area, near the Dinamo metro station or close to the hotel Moskva by the Red Square. But why would you wanna do that, especially concidering that you have to find your own place for the girl, drive her there and generally waste a lot of time ... private apartments are much more convenient.
If you can speak and read just a little Russian, the absolute best bet, IMHO, is <http://love.mail.ru/category/1500.html> -- there are pictures and phone numbers of over 2,700 girls. The average rate is $40-$50/2 hrs, but you can get ahold of two girls at the same time for about $70-$80/2 hrs -- well worth your rubles.
I frequented a place near metro 1905 goda, their phone number is (095) 723 6690; I recommend Natasha (petite, sexy brunette)and Alina (slender, long-legged brunette). I used them in the summer, so maybe they went into some other business (nuclear engeneering or something, hehehe).
Also, if you can make it out to St. Pete for a weekend, you will be amazed at the number of stunningly beautiful girls for prices about 20%-30% less than in Moscow. Besides, the city is not hot horrid-looking either.

DiT, go to Zurich/Geneva for watches... Paris is actually reasonably priced for some designer clothes. Too bad that the USD is dropping like a rock, but you'll still find some good values. Expat is totally right regarding "bargains" in Russia.

Expat, on last visit I touched down at NF, Boarhouse and the Safari Lounge. I'll be in Moscow for ten days in July and I want to make sure that I hit the high spots. You've already covered the swing club option some time ago.

I've read all of the archives and, of course, the Exile club reviews, but I'd rather not waste time running from club to club. Perhaps I missed your specific club recommendations in the archives. If so, I'll go back again. OTOH, if you have several good clubs that have top notch girls where I could expect them to stay the night for $100-150/night($200 would be the far upper limit!).

Does anyone have any new info on street action??? The world sex archives had a reported that there was quite a bit of street action and fairly cheap 50$ for a night.

There have also been some reports that Russian girls are willing to do facials???

The street scene in Moscow is pretty well covered in the archives. For brothels, St. Petersburg is cheaper than either Tallinn or Moscow. The girls in Moscow probably edge St. Petersburg and Tallinn in looks.

Chalk it up to a night with girls with a bad attitude. Assuming you are a normal looking guy, $300 for an hour from NF is just off the chart. I've bought girls for friends of mine at NF and have NEVER spent more than $200/night to get my friends these nice Moscow "presents". Be more persistent in your negotiations. In my opinion, NF girls and Boarhouse girls differ not so much in opinion but in looks and price. Good and bad attitudes can be found in any WG in any club in any price range. I don't say that there aren't several attractive girls at the Boarhouse, but let's be frank -- sex work is a business, and WG charge what the market will bear. Every WG would like to work Metelitsa for example because their income would be higher, but only the top make the cut. In this tough environment, there are few WG that would get bounced out of the Boarhouse though...

Winter is slightly cheaper than summer, especially for hotels. The climate is generally cold. There was a snowfall a week ago here in Moscow and the temperature drop below freezing in the evenings for a few nights. For climate info though, there are more suitable sites than this one to check. As for shopping cheap... Hahaha! Forget it! My wife has to fly to Milan and Paris to shop and then even so, saves money compared to what she would spend for the same stuff in Moscow. Since Russia hardly makes anything stylish, everything is imported from elsewhere. Nice watches can be had in the street, but it's "swag" (stolen). Even though Russia is a producer, real jewelry tends to be a commodity globally, and certainly Moscow is slightly more expensive than Amsterdam in that department. Cheap costume jewelry can be found in Moscow, but the stuff in New York is cheaper still. Many things are cheap in Russia. The girls. The wine. Sometimes (unfortunately) people's lives. But designer clothes and real jewelry don't fall into that category.

Off Topic? A few non sex questions. One, what is the cheapest time to go to Moscow. Two, what is the climate like. Or that is, what should I bring along clothing wise at different times of the year. Three, I was thinking of packing lite, and picking up some great clothes to bring back at a discount. Anything like that possible. Designer clothes or great costum fit suits. Also, what about great rings and watches at nice prices that aren't fake. Thanks for any help.

Expat... I certainly defer to your many experiences in Moscow and at NF. However, the Saturday night I was at NF, I didn't find a single WG offering less than $300 for a short time. This was far more than I'd been led to believe the going price was at NF, so I wrote it off to it being early(around midnight) and a Saturday night. We moved on and hooked up for far less with equally attractive girls at Boarhouse.

The several times I was at the Boarhouse, there were quite a few non-WG keepers and a handful of acceptable WG. However, I choose CF over NF not because of looks, but because of their attitude.

I look forward to exploring the other clubs in Moscow when I'm there in July. Rather than generalities, do you have any specific suggestions?

A comment on The Boar House (was Chesterfield's):

You will definitely find both WG and free girls there. Many expats especially like it. But...

if I were to rank ONLY club girls (including WG) in Moscow from 1-10, the girls in CF would get a 2-3. Almost every decent club (I'm not including the Hungry Duck) in Moscow has WG which are more attractive than the ones at the Boar House. If you don't believe me, go check it out for yourself! The Boar House is a nice place to get smashed with other foreigners, but in the sex department, it's not value for the money in my opinion (since for a little bit more elsewhere, you can get vastly better quality).

[And I'm not just saying this because I got hit up in the Boar House for $100/night by a 3-4/10 deaf-mute who accosted me when I wouldn't agree, either....]
